We started using the Buy Button because we already had a site designed when we switched over to Shopify and didn't have the experience to code Shopify pages to look the way we already had our product pages looking. Unfortunately after months of using this set up we realized Google Analytics wasn't tracking conversions. We had to rearrange things and have people buy on the Shopify store product pages for Google to track the sale. So while they were nice, we don't actually use the Buy Buttons any more. And we got very good at Shopify customization.

This is a currently a limitation of the buy button, and you are correct, Google Analytics will unfortunately not track these kind of conversions from the buy button. We used the Buy Button channel to set up a second store on another site for one of our other brands that only has a few products available. While I wish there was a way to have a second (or more ) store within Shopify, this was a relatively easy way of getting it done without having to purchase or manage another Shopify account. As far as functionality / ease of use is concerned - it was very easy for me to set up a small store myself without being a developer and checkout is functional for customers. The only thing that is a little confusing for customers is that the URL of the checkout page doesn't match the rest of my pop-up store, but most don't care. I wish there were a few more configuration options, but I can say that about just about everything within Shopify.

I have a separate landing page for a one-off item that I sell to a different audience and this was perfect for that. So seamless and nicely integrated.

I think this app sucks and needs to be re-developed. The buttons can't be customized well and slow the page load down to a crawl on pages where I've put them. Please develop an improved version that actually allows you to create "Amazon style" buttons or other easy to read buttons. Reply to dev response: You haven't addressed any of my concerns: SLOW LOAD TIME (why?), poor graphic controls, not easy to read, poor conversion. I won't hire a shopify expert when I can just not use this stupid app! I can create my own buttons with an external cart URL and it works fine and doesn't slow down my site. The point of an app like this should be for DIY not to hire an expert! I've tweaked CSS myself on quite a few apps to create great looking buttons that convert well on my (non-shopify) pages so why make this one so locked down and dysfunctional? This app sucks just get rid of it or start over and redevelop it! Clearly I'm not the only one who feels this way since 38 people gave it one star likely because we can't give it zero.

I’ve been using this app for around 18 months now to sell on Shopify through my existing website. This was important to me as I had an existing site and domain which I had developed over several years. Adding a button to my site is very easy. I design/configure the button on Shopify and then generate the code. This produces JavaScript that I copy and paste into a code module on my site. This means I can add the module anywhere and I’m not restricted to my shop pages. There are of course a couple of minor niggles such as I would like to be able to configure my checkout page to show the order summary (with the coupon code area) but can’t. I would also like to use some features of other Shopify marketing services but not everything can be used with the Buy Button. I’m continually surprised by how well the Buy Buttons on my site perform and how good the Shopify service is. It pays for itself many times over each month. I have tried other solutions to selling directly from my website over the years. Each time I’ve had nothing but frustration and hidden costs. The Shopify Buy Button is the best by far.

This is a great way to sell products on your shop without having to have a full Shopify store. The only issue is that the product images are grainy and quite small and there is no way (that I can find out) to fix this.

Too hard to correlate analytics. No ability to redirect to a custom thank you page. You need to learn the API to be really effective. This is just a stopgap solution. A real solution would be a direct Wordpress/WooCommerce integration.

I use this app within the blog section. It adds professionalism and allows for speedy checkout. It gives me data on sales via this button. I’ll use more of it

Simple to use with my existing website! Adds unity through out all my websites and social media. I was looking for something like this for an age but it seems as if it's only Shopify which offer this fantastic service.

Need mayor improvements, I've called several times to try and add credit card icons or anything to let customers know they can use any credit cards , but only shows Paypal and that's it. Customers think we only accept Paypal

Straight-forward and easy to use, the Buy Button has allowed me to place product listings on my other website and blog articles. Haven't generated a ton of sale with it yet, but the business we have earned has been appreciated. Also, I feel it helps give us more of a cool factor over the competition.

It works for very simple projects. BUT, it uses a separate cart, which cuts it off from the normal website. So someone cannot add to cart from your site and from the buy button on your site.
Thanks for sharing this feedback on our Buy Button app! Currently this is a limitation due to Buy Button being designed as a separate sales channel then your Online Store. There is an alternative to the Buy Button for the functionality you're looking for and that would be using cart permalinks. I used buy box to drive sales through blog pages of my site. However, there is lack of translation for some things. Such as "Out of Stock". Translation should be done via html coding. It would be better if there is an option for all such things directly to be translated by user panel.

It works great, but we've lost some customers because they have a pop-up window blocker, so they don't see the checkout window. It would be great if there were an option to not have the pop-up checkout, and direct the customer to the checkout in the same target window where our website is. Then, a "continue shopping" button in the checkout could basically be going back one in the history, to where they left off on our website. Or, give me the option where I would like them to go (our "shop" page showing all our categories).

I am a portrait artist and often show how I create my paintings on my blog. I have added the buy button to all my blog posts and have noticed that it makes it super easy for new blog visitors to right away see how much it would cost to order a similar portrait. The Buy Botton is super easy to set up and implement anywhere on the site and it has generated business for me. I highly recommend adding it to your site!

I only have good things to say about Shopify and the Buy Button. I use it on my website and have gotten feedback from customers saying how user-friendly our check-out experience is-music to my ears! The cart and Buy Button are very simple and useful on our site.

I only require the Buy Button as I am a very small business and already have my website hosted externally to Shopify so cannot justify the cost of a Shopify hosted store (x 3 times the cost of the Buy Button). The one thing I have found so far that is very frustrating is the inability for customers to leave a note via the Buy Button for delivery instructions etc - Cart Notes. I have reached out to Shopify Experts twice however they really only seem interested in setting up stores etc. I am not in need of this service. All I need is Cart Note integration. Regards

It is a very good app for my store. Easy to integrate and easy to add new products and keep them organized among categories. My only concern is that I have people telling me that they can not add my products to the cart. I guess the problem they have is that they need to scroll up after the click VIEW PRODUCT, then they need click to add to cart. I know it is an extra step BUT I want to make them read specifications to avoid returns. Considering to move to Shopify website to have a better and effective website. However, it has been good.
