On my previous wordpress site, with my knowledge of web building, it was not possible for me to have a custom product builder of this level, but this app made it so, so easy. The customer service I received was also excellent - they helped adjust the theme of the app to better fit my website and adjusted features that I needed, both with speed and ease. 10/10 would recommend for service alone.

Disappointed with this app. I initially had really high hopes - interface-wise, it looked the best among similar apps and had the most logical process (although it takes a while to get the hang of it but once you do, it's great) the app has a LOT of bugs that cannot be fixed. Customer service is extremely slow and I would wait weeks to get a response back (yes, while paying 50$ a month which is a very high price for a half functioning app). In the end, they couldn't give me what I needed and neither were they willing to offer a refund despite my requests for taking long to get back to me and not solving my problems. Other apps I've dealt with offer refunds immediately if their app doesn't meet your needs. Also, make sure to check compatibility with other apps you are using. This app also turned out to be incompatible with a multi-country pricing app I was using.

We also started receiving more and more complex custom product requests and even though our application is already quite flexible, we have hard times catching up with all the customization & features that are being requested. It does indeed take us some effort & time unfortunately to deliver, but it's pleasing to see the end result eventually. We thank everyone for their patience with us. We are trying to make things better as fast as we can.. We also apologize that you have not received a full refund when you asked for it. There was some miscommunication and your request was never sent to Shopify support who actually handles the refunds. We have taken care of this now and have asked them to send you a refund for the time that you were unable to use the application. We hope that it was already processed and deposited to your account! We have also worked on building compatibility with some of the multi-currency apps. We will continue monitoring this situation and keep adding more integrations. This app AUTOMATICALLY edits your live theme instead of being able to install on a test theme. When you remove it, it doesn't remove any of the code. This is terrible. Update: The developers sent three emails AND called my physical store over the last 24 hours due to this review. They requested collaborator access to my store AFTER I had already removed the app. They sent information about how to remove the code, and asked that I remove this review. While this shows they likely have very responsive customer service, they clearly do not understand other small businesses. I cannot in good conscience give a higher score to a company that charges $50 for what is essentially beta software that edits live code. I understand that a one-star review is very damaging to startup company, but isn't that the point of reviews? I firmly believe this is an unprofessional way to run a beta (no matter how responsive customer service is), so I cannot change the score. I suspect this team does not have a lot of experience with software development because this is such a basic mistake and such an odd pricing structure. Also, please don't expect me to disrupt my busy day and get back to you immediately when this is your mistake. One email would have been enough followup, after which I might have chosen to respond.

We updated our description page with a reminder to make backups of the published theme before installing our (or any) application and we will update the installation process to allow selecting a test theme. We tried to contact you multiple times and sent you a store management request to make sure that we help you take care of any problems you faced as soon as possible. We are committed to making every customer happy. We apologize that our desire to help resolve your issues with our application made you angry. Building software products using latest available web technology is a hard and time consuming process that requires a lot of resources. There are always things that can be improved. Although not ideal, our application has solved the needs of a lot of merchants selling custom made products. We are also working 24/7 on improving the UX / UI of the application and refactoring it to make it work faster and more stable.

Update: Support really tries and offers custom solutions and quick developer support! I will update again after the support solves my issues. Support tries to help but the tool is really not worth 50$ a months... First I could not save changes, not front view collides with other views and cannot save it properly. Jumps back to front all the time.

For example an older browser version, theme setup or other custom apps & scripts in your store may conflict with our application. We used this app to create a custom apparel builder. It was easy to set up, works great, and was a fraction of the cost of competitors. We also worked with the BuildATeam developers to create a custom button for our store. The development team is amazing; they were fast, asked all the right questions, and again slashed competitor prices. We are so happy to have found such an easy solution to our custom builder!

A few bugs like any reasonably sophisticated software, but support fixed them, gave me email updates and walked me through the necessary fixes. Overall great experience once I got up and running.

Support is incredible. I had so many questions/concerns but they walked me through every problem I encountered and I ended up with an absolutely incredible, one of a kind jacket builder that isn't anywhere else in the world! $50/month for this feature is so worth it. Yes you have to put in the work - make sure all your images are the same resolution and have proper transparency to layer. But the end result is great, though the learning curve is high.

This app is the most versatile app on the market. It allows you to do some very subtle and complicated manipulation of the preview image. It also allows for infinite price variants and conditional logic. There are a few bugs but it seems like the dev/support team works around the clock to make sure everything is working right. We just transitioned to this for our custom orders and it's opened up so many new possibilities! This is the best option out there beyond hiring someone to build you one from scratch. The support team is on it, too - issues and bugs are dealt with promptly. Can't wait to see future updates!

We truly loved the app for customization feature due to its clean intuitive design and the support that exceeded all our expectations: responsive, understanding and incredibly helpful! We LOVE this app at Villy Custom. Custom Product Builder allows our customers to seamlessly customize their dream custom cruiser with a crazy amount of color combinations. The builder has been live for about a year now and working fantastically, very minor problems if any. For any problems that you may have, the support team is quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. They seriously make my job easier.

Custom products are an important part of our business since we manufacture our own products. Coming over from a Magento website with a very complex custom made product builder, we did not think we would be able to recreate our offer by simply using an app. After reviewing many apps, we decided to go with this one and found many great features. Since we have so many options to offer, we had issues with the preview not working all the time. The developper investigated the issue with us an found a solution. Now we have 2 very complex custom product builders on the site and looking forward adding more in the next months. The app is simpler to use than what we had on Magento and also offers nice backend features to see what the customer build using option, codes and an image.

Excellent and very intuitive tool to present your customized products to customers. It's pretty easy to work with and to adapt with some CSS and the support team were excellent. Highly recommended.

I have been exploring this app for several months. The developers have been very responsive any bugs that have cropped up. I have moving away from BOLD apps and had a very bad experience with their product builder app. This app has a better interface, updates quicker, and is has the extremely critical feature of image overlays. (We have a very customization product that would have required thousands of individual images to represent correctly). The app is a bit young, but they are actively making improvements. I will update this review after we have it live for several months.
