Emotive is absolutely the best SMS platform that there is. I have tried basically all of them and this has been my favorite. Two-way messaging was essential and their UI is fantastic. Also, they have a great CS team that is always there to help me. I can customize the workflows easily and it integrates so well with Shopify.

Great customer support and customization. Their team helps with creative and copy, which is extremely helpful for lean teams. They are very accessible as well.

As a small business owner, I can confidently say Emotive has the worst billing practices Iโve ever dealt with. After missing a payment, they tried charging my card 29 times in one month. Yes, twenty nine. When I finally made a one time manual payment, they took that as permission to keep using that card for future charges, even though it was never saved or authorized for ongoing use. They brushed it off like it was no big deal and hid behind their contract. No accountability. No ownership. I get it. Everyone deserves to be paid. Iโm a small business too. But this kind of behavior is shady and unprofessional. Iโve already shared my experience with a business group of over 200,000 members and Iโll keep speaking up. If you're considering using Emotive, think twice. There are better platforms out there that wonโt mishandle your payment info or your trust.

Here have been our pros and cons of Emotive: Pros: Great customer service and representative team- every member I've worked with on our service has been fantastic. The service is robust with good analytics and best case studies. However, getting customers phone numbers can prove challenging and there needs to be specific consideration to your strategy of how you will do so. It is probably the best text tool available on the market at this time, and they have a good ROAs return rate, assuming you have new customers and phone numbers collecting at all times. They paired us up with a similar company to review what they were doing which was a fantastic aid. Cons: You cannot leave their contract and are essentially signing onto a year-long contract. Currently there are more companies doing this type of advertising and customers are more likely to unsubscribe as opposed to email. We've had several customers be disappointed that they could not call us, or had to explain why we had an American # when we are based in Canada. Overall, we would recommend them but be aware you are signing up for a year long term and will need strategy on new customer acquisition and for ways to collect phone numbers, which isn't always easiest at times. However, their team has been very helpful.

Words canโt describe the sheer happiness I experienced working with MJ and Maris of Emotive. I was on the fence as a small business owner in moving forward with SMS Marketing for my online store because there were so many options and so who can you trust. I am so happy that I fell into the hands of MJ and Maris of Emotive because they walked me through, step by step, the process technically and conceptually. In less than 1 week of onboarding I saw more than a 10x return on initial spend budget! As soon as I thought it could not get any better, my success manager with Emotive just added to the assurance of continued growth with a detailed action plan, guidance and strategies. This company and trusted staff is a game changer!

I have been working with Emotive for a few years by now. Tried a different company but the results were not good and the customer service was bad. Decided to go back to Emotive and have been working with Ian. She is a very responsible, creative, responsive, and reliable person to work with. Results are good and will continue to work with her and Emotive as long as the results are there and sales improve.

The customer service is great. They helped me get all the important things set up during the trial period. They were willing to accommodate for my seasonal business and gave me a discount and support even though I wasn't able to sign a year contract. It is easy to set up flows to reach customers with relevant messages. It integrates well with Shopify.

I had a great experience working with the team at Emotive. They were incredibly helpful and collaborative, ensuring that our account tracked users efficiently and accurately. What impressed me most was their understanding of how we wanted to target our audience across our various products. Jen and Olivia were particularly responsive and patient, addressing all of my questions promptly. I'm very grateful for their guidance in navigating Emotive's metrics. However, we only use Emotive for sending emails and not text messaging.

Great support and super easy to set up! We literally spent 5 minutes and we were all set with the Pixel. Oftentimes times, when setting up new software, the onboarding is slow this exceeds my expectations. Additionally, we have seen a huge lift in only 3 weeks thousands in recovered revenue and customer data.

Ryan, Jen, and Mhira are amazing! They held our hand through every step of the process making it such a wonderful experience. We were hesitant at first to enter the SMS world but the transition to SMS/MMS was seamless.

Great platform, and amazing support. My experience with emotive is very positive. I have tried all other platforms and switched from Klayvio and Attentive and this is by far the best SMS platform out there.

We have now used both Emotive SMS and their Pixel services. The people there are nice but on two separate occasions Emotive has grossly over promised and under delivered. We were stuck in an SMS contract that took our previous 40x ROI at Post Script SMS services to 2-3x with Emotive. The pricing and contract cost us dearly. Fast forward years later, Emotive reaches out to have us try their new Pixel service which captures emails and sends abandoned cart messages, this time thankfully no contracts were sent as we have been using Retention.com for this same service but opted to pause and give Emotive a chance to redeem themselves. Our one month trial was an absolute embarrassment and again, cost us thousands in lost revenue. Never again...

Emotive has been a great hands-on tool that continues to provide our store with the sms results we want to see. The tech integrations have been seamless and timely. My only complaint is that there seem to be a lot of missing features that would be nice to have, but the team is very quick to offer alternative solutions and work on product updates.

Never again! It's unfortunate but it seems like the classic tale of a company that grew too big too quick. Customer service was appalling, you would have to wait days for a response & more often than not the response not correctly addressing the issues/worries/questions. We asked for a custom plan as our usage did not include many of the features advertised. They agreed and yet never actioned the reduced costs. After more unanswered queries on attribution & other such things we had no choice but to give them the flick. They carried on charging us and my god... Let's just say it would have been great if their customer service and overall service in general had as much determination and persistence as their accounts team! Have a question about attribution or even worse an issue that needs to be addressed? Good luck... BUT, Miss a payment and watch them come hurtling into your inbox! Over priced waste of time. Never AGAIN! If there was a chance of a ZERO star it would be selected, 1 is too many already.
