UPDATE - after a reply where they said "they understood how frustrating this was" - still no solution. Do please check your accounts before setting up this or disabling previous apps. Dear Michael With the greatest respect I don't think you do "understand how frustrating this is for my business " it is costing me money every day. All my google ads have ceased to run and sales have plummeted. I am more than frustrated, your teams lack of due diligence before implementing an app that you encouraged peole onto without necessary signage or research costs sales. I have now split my google accounts apart, had to reset up both accounts, using one store under a new gmail account. However one store still says "Cannot connect to Google Account" and the other store it is forcing me to set up a new Google Ads account as opposed to adding my existing google ads account where my ads and all that data is currently. It strikes me you were clearly partnering Google in this to drive people to set up new Google Ads accounts, but you were not for one second considering the huge swathes of users who will already have Google ads accounts and have any degree of complexity to their setup outside of the basic user you want to upsell google services to. It behoves your team to work out how on earth people like me and all the other deeply frustrated users can reintegrate with Google without having to destroy our existing setups to fir around the code asap. 1, Why on earth could we not simply input a pre-existing merchant account number on setup 2, why can we not just input our Google ads number. Keep the default options for the new customers, but at least think about user flow and progress for others. Now how do I resolve getting my new stand alone Merchant account on to my Google Ads account. Google has made a point of allowing users to merge and combine accounts, so Google Merchant Centre can be multi-client as can Google Adwords. How come this was totally overlooked. I appreciate this is not actually your fault directly and obviously this is not personal, but this all needs addressing as a matter of urgency. Christmas is approaching, it is peak sales period and now both my channels cannot serve ads directly because of this. Oct 31, 10:21 EDT Michael here from the Shopify Guru Team! I have taken a look at your previous conversations with Aisling and they are correct in stating that splitting your Google Merchant Center account could work, as it would make you have the two separate accounts for each respective domain. In the case of being able to revert back to an old version of the app, this is not possible as the Google Shopping channel is new all together. I understand how frustrating this is for your business and I want our team to hear you out on this situation. As we have created this app, I will make a request to the correct team to consider putting functionality for Multi Client Accounts in future updates to our app. While I cannot guarantee that this change will come down from us any time soon, I am sure that you are not the only merchant who would like to have this functionality. Going forward I will submit a feature request to our team as a "Merchant Frustration" and if our team does have any questions about this, they will be in touch for further information. ------- Damn you Shopify - my feed was working fine with the old system. You promoted updating to the NEW app and said the old was unsupported. NOWHERE did you say you don't support Multi Client accounts. So now you say either I have to completely separate my Google Merchant accounts and therefore split my Ads admin. This then means the feed dones't work, we can't advertise on Google Shopping and sales have completely stopped. PLEASE SORT IT OUT. The reason we move to SHopify is for ease of use. Small businesses don't have the time to arse about cleaning up your problems when you don't bug check and test products properly. Dam it I'm angry. Been on the phone to India with google who are even more useless.

Stupidly I deleted the old version of Google Shopping -- which WAS WORKING -- and installed this new version. This new version connects to my Google account, but then thinks that it doesn't have authorization (which it does) so it doesn't allow the account to be configured -- even though it's pulled the info. Google Shopping / Shopify -- please fix your apps so they are working. It's holiday shopping season. It's bad time of year to mess up a shopping application that was working.

I would give this 0 if possible. The old app was a little slow and you would occasionally get a server error but it worked! This doesn't. We have over 50,000 products in our store and so cannot even use this! Please sort this out Shopify!

I'm very disappointed with this app. :( It's approved a small amount of products which is fine but there is absolutely no activity for reports. It's as if it's showing the app is installed but there's some sort of disconnect somewhere between Shopify and Google. :( I've removed this app because it's useless.

As others have said... absolutel crap. Old app you could only upload certain collections or keep products from uploading by not putting a UPC on the product. New app? Nope uploads everything. Went from 400 products in my feed to all 1700 products we sell. Anyway to opt out of some of these products? Nope. Seriouesly shopify why push crap on your customers

Do not use this! All of my previously approved products suddenly got deleted and I had to start the approval process all over again which is stuck and still shows pending after over a week. Support will tell you it’s Googles fault and they will follow up but really doesn’t provide any assistance. Since Shopify has made this change from channel to app it has completely ruined a lot of people’s feeds yet they won’t even issue a statement apologizing for such a glitchy app to be rolled out in the first place. Between this and the crappy Facebook Marketplace beta I’m about to take my business elsewhere.

Seriously pathetic. I never thought of that this app will work like a giant. I have removed the unsupported version of this app and install the updated one. From last 2 days it was working fine and suddenly today when I clicked on the Google Shopping App, it started and searching for redirection to another URL and bouncing back to the previous URL. Money is getting exhausted as I am running PLA ads and all the products have been connected to this app. Seriously, I will give -1 for this if it would be possible.

This app is useless! We have a set amount of $2/day through our Etsy shop and we have more views, impressions etc then this. I'm talking anything above 0! We tried changing our shopping campaign multiple times with different daily amounts to spend and have not gotten above 0 EVERYTHING in stats other than when we changed it to $7/day where we had 1 impression, RIDICULOUS! Our adwords that spends $2/daily does way better than this. Don't waste your time.

This app has just helped me score a £11.87 CPC on a product whose retail price is £11.95.. what an absolute winner. Made the mistake of thinking Shopify would set up defaults based on good PPC practice and then let me alter them as I learned. But no they've setup FIXED defaults based on... oh I don't no the seasons of the moon perhaps.. Due to the massive backlog at Google (seasonal perhaps.... so a great time of year to drop this app...) I've literally waited 2 weeks to find that from the looks of things I would have been better setting a small camp fire and dishing £10 notes into it. Though in that time I was glad to find that a good handful of categories need a Color tag and while Shopify customer service were helpful enough in their advice to set up individual variants and to change the spelling of the variant to "color"... do I really want to confuse my local UK customers into thinking we are USA based and not local ... no... no I really don't But I'm glad your Dev's took the decision to feed in such a way that all functionality is locked at the Google Adwords end, so I can't even seperately set "color" there either. The fact that the Ui for the app can't even draw the right page... (clicking the forward arrow doesn't mean I want to bounce back to the first page the minute I start to scroll.) is just beyond excuse. There's so many good things about Shopify... but there are so many shockingly amateur things as well.. This falls firmly into the second camp.

This app is dreadful!! I moved to this from a paid app and it simply does not work. There are so many issues with it. It doesn't work with custom products correctly, puts items out of stock randomly when they are not, doesn't allow you to batch update products. PROBABLY THE WORST APP N THE SHOPIFY APP STORE!!! AVOID!

If I could 0 star I would. With stores over 50,000, the app will basically say its not going to happy. Atleast with the original application, you could select a collection to publish to google merchant, now it wants your entire feed. Support has been shocking on the app, I fear could be a downfall of Shopify

At first, when I installed it and used it under the Sales Channel it was good. It helped my sales. However, about a week ago, Shopify moved it back to Apps and removed it from Sales Channel. For some reasons, that affected my traffic a lot. Not getting traffic and not getting sales. I logged into my Google Merchant Center and it says "Not performing automatic item updates for availability" so basically some kind of error. I Shopify look into an update. Also, google marks a lot of my products as policy violations, I don't know why? I don't sell anything illegal or dangerous. All stones related. Etsy has the best Google Shopping and the best inside Etsy advertising. Cheap, lower rates and best results. For every $100 sales it cost only about 7%.
