Don’t be fooled by the “onboarding” staff that want to convince you to sign up for payroll. Trying to get help with issues or corrections is virtually impossible. They will not speak with you on the telephone, nor will they even provide emails for contact. We have been waiting for almost 6 months for corrected W2s for our employees. Each time is is incorrect, they want to charge more money and add and additional 4-6 weeks for corrections. If you use the free version for time clock, etc. you may be safe. DO NOT USE HOMEBASE FOR PAYROLL OR TAX PURPOSES.

Says it's free but then does not allow you to select the basic plan, forces you to select/automatically enrolls you in a paid plan which you can't delete unless you downgrade to the basic plan which it won't let you select. Horrible.

The app was working fine for what I needed it to do, up until it wasn't. I have had to uninstall and reinstall it for the past week just to get it open.

I have tried for two months to downgrade this app. I have gotten the runaround between Homebase and Shopify support to get this downgraded. At this time, I'm still being charged and don't want this app with the paid version. Before all of this, I enjoyed the app till I've had to get this situation resolved.

The app itself is really helpful and I like using it. When I initially uploaded the app it forced me to sign up for two of my store locations when I only use this app for one. I couldnʻt figure out how to downgrade my plan to one store. I called support during my free demo period and was told that they would downgrade my plan. That was back in January. Since then Iʻve sent multiple emails for which I was told that they were working on it. The original rep I was working with, although nice, wasnʻt great in following up and communicating with updates...however, since recently speaking to a manager, I have a bit more understanding and confidence that the issue will be resolved. Other than this support glitch, I really like the app, and it's been helpful in managing schedules and time keeping.

Homebase makes it easy for me to track and manage my employees time! Tracking their sales per shift, etc couldn't be easier. It syncs well with the Shopify playform.

Love. Love. Love! This app has made scheduling and time keeping so much easier. We are able to create a schedule that is colour coded ( yay!) and its sent directly to our staff. Staff are assigned their own logins that they use at the start of their shift, when they login it takes their picture to ensure that it is them and they are there logging into their shift. Staff get daily reminders to remind them to not be late for their shifts, also reminds staff when their break is almost over. Staff can also rate their shift and provide feedback so you can address issues in real time as it is sent directly to you. There is also a built in communication platform to share information fast. You can create different messaging groups ( ex. all staff, those working today, managers etc) It lets you request time off and shift changes so all the important information is in one area. When it comes time to create and print the time sheets, its as easy as pressing a button. Blown away by how easy and great this program is.

Homebase has been wonderful. It is easy to navigate from an employer as well as an employee's perspective. It has decreased the amount of time it takes for me to create my schedule and post it. I also love the reminders that are included.

The app seems to be pretty straightforward but every once in a while there are some glitches. Besides that it get's the job done and that's what matters.

Overall this app does everything I wish Shopify would have in their POS system. It allows for us to easily track our employee's hours with the added bonus of asking them to rate their shifts. One thing I wish this app would have is one area that would display the employees total hours as well as what they specifically worked. It would save the retailer's time.

As a small retailer, I really enjoy the convenience and ease of use to schedule and communicate with employees real time with the Homebase app and can swap shifts request time off at their convenience. The UE of the app and time clock is great.

I love using this app and it honestly makes my life so much easier. I have 7 employees and (when they use it correctly) it makes scheduling so easy.

Wish we could see more info in the actual app as opposed to just the website. Would be great to see a "week at a glance" type thing where everyone's shifts are visible etc... Other than that, works well and seems to do what we need it to. Would be great to have a clock in, clock out feature in the actual Shopify App instead of always having to open the Homebase app.

I've been using this app for a while now, but there are a few things that seem kind of questionable. First, we don't use it for our payroll, but all of my staff keeps receiving notices about receiving some of their paycheck early through the app. Second, our accountant has received some strange emails from one of the owners who's not even in the Homebase system. I'm a little nervous about those 2 issues, but it really is a great system and it's very easy to use. We will continue to monitor everything, but as we don't have any bank/payment information tied to it. I have not seen any benefits to using Homebase as an app through Shopify. Apparently, you have to upgrade to the $40/mo plan to see any of that information, and we're just not interested in paying that much for that service.

If your accountant has their name on another Homebase account, they will likely receive emails from another owner if they help that account as well. It allows the accountant to manage all of their accounts in one spot. You are totally welcome to continue using our robust free plan. That is why it is there and why we offer a free integration!

I've been usin this app for a few months and really appreciate how it helps me plan out my scheduling. I love getting the daily email on yesterday's sales vs labor costs. Homebase is a great way to keep schedules organized, have your employees clock in, and understand your labor costs.

This scheduling app has been a lifesaver for our shop. Each staff is able to clock in and out easily on the app. Makes scheduling a lot easier for everyone. We also love the request for the time off feature.

The app is unstable and keeps crashing on the iPad for no reason. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it several times with no success. We switched to Deputy instead.

The app looks beautiful and I can't wait to get started with it!! The only thing I wish it had was task management (ability to assign tasks to employees or shifts.) Other than that, it satisfies literally every need I have :)
Hey There! We do have the ability to assign shift notes to an employee before they start their shift. Shift notes are currently accessible on our essentials plan.
