I switched from Sendowl because I needed more than 1gb of file storage and LDT had - more file storage - a customer download portal all for a cheaper price. The app is great overall and works fine, customer service is great.... HOWEVER, there are a lot of little annoying things that stop this app from being perfect: 1) You can't edit all your email templates from settings, you have to scavenger hunt to find each one. 2) When you update a digital product you can send an update message by email, but it forces you to change the entire template just for that one instance. Sendowl was very simple. you had your base email template and when you send the update you could add a custom message that would only apply to that one email. 3) You can’t reset downloads for customers' orders. There is only an "add extra download" button where you have to give them an extra download. But if you give the customer too many, you have to subtract the number of downloads to the number you want the customer to have. Sometimes it just doesn’t work, so you have to contact customer service, and then customer service seems to only be available on European time…. like come on, just make a reset download button. 4) Their portal page is great but has very little customizability…some of which customer service can help with……but yea These are some of the major ones. All in all, after comparing all the other top rated digital download apps, LDT is definitely the best balance of price and features. I would say Sky pilot would be be one step up in terms of features and complete package, but they expensive af….so *update 8.18.2024 - the removed the feature the allows you send an updated version of your digital downloads from the starter plan. Now you have to pay double for that feature

LDT is a good app for digital downloads and very good compared to other competitor apps. Very good customer support that has helped with every issue we've had. Thanks!

We love this app! It is easy to install and use. Everything works fine - we haven't had a glitch since installation. It is feature-packed. There are options to upgrade but those are meant for when our store already gets better capacity to pay for the costs - for example, when there's a greater influx of sales - which is understandable and justified.

I've been using the free version of this app for about a month and everything has been running smoothly. I ran into an issue with one of my products because I inadvertently unchecked a box that automatically sends the download email. I contacted customer service and the issue was fixed in less than an hour. Very quick replies. I will definitely be upgrading because it works seamlessly with shopify. Thank you

We love this app - it manages our license codes and also their customer service is amazing. I appreciate that it writes back the codes to the customer account automatically in case a customer has an issue or misplaces their codes. We also love how customizable it is

I had a great experience with LDT Digital Downloads app! The customer service is amazing. They're really kind and patient, and they respond super quickly. I had a problem with it not working with another upsell app, but their team jumped on it right away and got everything running smoothly. I'm very impressed with their quick and effective help. I highly recommend this app to anyone using LDT Digital Downloads app. They truly go above and beyond!
