Before getting even basic access to the app, you're required to commit to a significant advertising budget ("Unfortunately, advertisers must meet a EUR 17815 yearly minimum to request to advertise on Pinterest.") — at a stage where I don't even know yet whether this app could be useful for my business at all.

Setting up my Pinterest shop has been an incredibly professional experience. Although we had some initial technical hurdles due to our large catalog size, the support from the team and the verification process through Yoti gave us great confidence. We are impressed with how 99% of our 171k products were seamlessly integrated. Looking forward to growing our brand on Pinterest!

Can unexpectedly cause account issues We connected the Pinterest app to our Shopify store to sync products. Shortly after, our established Pinterest business account was deactivated with the reason “spam.” We didn’t spam users and didn’t request account closure. It looks like the automated catalog sync (many items created/updated in a short time) may trigger Pinterest’s anti-spam systems. Recommendation for other merchants: sync in small batches (e.g., one collection first), double-check titles/descriptions/URLs, enable 2FA, and keep the violations/appeal portal handy.

You'd be better off not installing this app. My account was unilaterally closed after being flagged as spam despite me doing nothing. As I hadn't tampered with the account, it's highly likely activity based on this app was deemed spam. It's odd for an official app to behave this way. I've wasted both time and effort. Furthermore, I was persistently pressured by a sales representative to register my credit card for advertising purposes. I found it questionable that I was told to register card details when I had no intention of using the adverts.

Pinterest is absolutely the easiest sales platform to integrate with a Shopify shop! I am thrilled that they collab with POSH Mark & my POSH closest is linked on my social app as well! I was able to easily upgrade to a business plans with in minutes and currently they are offering $100 credit for initial advertising! Way to go Pinterest I am a fan and one happy networking merchant! useless app that gives nothing but problems when trying to publish your catalogue and sync your shopify store to pinterest. its main focus is a gateway for trying to run ads and even that is not done well.
