This app is pointless. It should be renamed to Pinterest Ads.
Absolutely unacceptable from Pinterest. I added my payment information and somehow ended up being charged for ads I never intentionally set live. I woke up this morning to find money had been taken from my account, despite having no idea any ads were running. At no point did I knowingly consent to spending money on advertising. If you're using Pinterest, be extremely cautious when adding payment details and check every setting carefully. No one should be charged for campaigns they didn't knowingly launch.
useless app really not worth the effort
from india, i am trying to connect catalog to pinterest via pinterest app on shopify, but there is no way to connect. Along with this i tried to connect with support of pinterest team, but they are even more worsed. JUST USELESS APP.
needs 17.8K EUR minimum yearly spend with Pinterest to even be considered for app access (in Latvia) lol
Absolute rubbish could you make it any harder to get set up and post pictures. Need a phd and a 1200 page manual just to get any where with pinterest. All I wanted to do was post some product images
So useless! The catalog uploaded to Pinterest has a separate listing for every variant, such as every single ring size! According to the Pinterest rep setting up our ads: "Running campaigns on a fragmented catalog would waste budget and deliver a poor experience to shoppers." The variant inflation we're seeing (63 products → 2,200+ listings) is a known challenge when item_group_id isn't being passed correctly. Please fix ASAP!
White screen has never changed
Before getting even basic access to the app, you're required to commit to a significant advertising budget ("Unfortunately, advertisers must meet a EUR 17815 yearly minimum to request to advertise on Pinterest.") — at a stage where I don't even know yet whether this app could be useful for my business at all.
Can unexpectedly cause account issues We connected the Pinterest app to our Shopify store to sync products. Shortly after, our established Pinterest business account was deactivated with the reason “spam.” We didn’t spam users and didn’t request account closure. It looks like the automated catalog sync (many items created/updated in a short time) may trigger Pinterest’s anti-spam systems. Recommendation for other merchants: sync in small batches (e.g., one collection first), double-check titles/descriptions/URLs, enable 2FA, and keep the violations/appeal portal handy.
useless app that gives nothing but problems when trying to publish your catalogue and sync your shopify store to pinterest. its main focus is a gateway for trying to run ads and even that is not done well.
I have spent 130 pounds on this garbage no sales which is understandable but no evidence of clicks and i was unable to cancel and plus a 74 pound ad credit which was not used so 130 pound down the drain avoid this site at all costs. I should be refunded for the rubbish i had to delete my account as well.
Absolutely no support. My account was hacked and I received no support. They deactivated it and that was it!
