Their free plan includes 5000 views per month, after a few weeks they paused my campaign saying I need to be on a paid plan because of my average users! Also, they keep bombarding you with junk mail, every day I receive some junk mail asking me to upgrade. Not worth it!

Launched a site 1 month ago - not advertised fully - slapped with 35000 impressions. The manager will not accept their system at fault, I know best attitude. Will not agree Google Webmasters data either. Beyond disbelief.

Dowloaded it for the free plan because my store is small and does not need much features yet. And there is no free plan in sight.

AWFUL. BEWARE. If you have a email list that was collected by any other source other than Privy they won't approve it for use. Out of all the email platforms out there this is the only one that does this. We had a list of over 4000+ and they won't let us it even though we have full rights to email our customers. STAY AWAY. To top it off, seeing that we can't use our list we wouldn't be able to use the email platform. We asked for a refund for a service we can't use. They stated and Privy has the right to cancel any account if they feel that any criminal activity is happening. This is the excuse they give us. Appalling.

Imagine getting targetted ads from this company only to have them not let you log in via Shopify. I wish I could use it but this is terrible

It is clunky and never seems to work, emails are never sent, and customer service is lacking. I am going to look for another option.

Privy is stealing the customer and order data and sending it to marketers website. Here is the proof ( note, we DO NOT have a big commerce website): I found some major issues in the console partial page load. https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbrooklyn-equipment.com%2Fproducts%2Fclorox%25C2%25AE-disinfecting-wipes-6-canisters-of-75-wipes-free-shipping&tab=desktop&hl=en The App Privy has a larger Payload than Facebook and has been throwing all kinds of render blocking issues in the search console. I did some digging and Basically they are stealing every data point and customer information detail, info about your store, orders and who knows what else and sending it out to several APIs. This is bad news and has been slowing down the site for some time. Screen Shot 2020-08-19 at 4.43.21 AM.png Here is their full execution https://shopify.privy.com/widget.js?shop=ppe-marketplace.myshopify.com They are sending sensitive info like this on every user page load or add to cart: https://brooklyn-equipment.com/cart.js?Dyo8o6fYTacbWPfPY=1 Turns out they are sending your data to be remarketed, they could even be sending emails right after people visit, idk. 1. dp1.33across.com 2. loadus.exelator.com & loadm.exelator.com & load77.exelator.com 3. cm.g.doubleclick.net 4. ps.eyeota.net 5. secure.adnxs.com 6. l.sharethis.com Here are screen shots images showing the API connection tracking: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uih401fn8vlbukh/AABLSQGU4II3aJ64MW8q9W3ja?dl=0 DO NOT USE THIS APP ------- After the developer answer we did more research and we found 3rd party confirmations that we are not imagining things. Hi - yikes. Hate to see an experience like this. We took a look at the files you shared with our developers, just to triple check. Just to be 100% clear, Privy does not steal customer or order data, or use that for any purpose other than providing the functionality of our service, directed by you the merchant while building campaigns using Privy's marketing software. The bigcommerce code you shared only runs on bigcommerce stores. It's only purpose is to support certain features within Privy like targeting and abandoned carts. No data is shared to bigcommerce. Also, we don't load or redirect to any of the links you posted. The only service we incorporate of the ones you listed is share this. sharethis simply powers the sharing tools you can add to your privy popup and landing pages, that help your visitors easily share your store's website to their networks. And the screenshots you share in the link don't really articulate your concern. We take privacy seriously. We'd be happy to take a deeper look if you reach out directly through live chat support or by emailing [email protected] directly. We'd love to help drive confidence and point you in the right direction on this.

Way too difficult to use. App takes you out of the Shopify interface and forces you to use their UI. Poorly designed and convoluted.

This app will slow down your website, even after removing it, it leaves behind so much code, worst app support ever

I used this app for almost two years, so I definitely gave it my best shot. Unfortunately this app gave me nothing but a headache for the past two years. The customer service wasn’t helpful at all, now when I have finally unsubscribed from this app, now customer service wants to talk to me.... absolutely ridiculous. Side note: the customization is terrible and the abandoned carts don’t work. Tried getting help with that for a year. Save your money and a headache. Wish I did.

If your store is new, skip this app! They will inform you after terminating your campaign due to low traffic.

I've been using Privy to capture customer emails for 12 months. About a month ago, Privy simply turned off the function to collect my customer data and gave me no warning either prior or even afterwards that it had done so. I investigated the 'lost data' myself (because I noticed a sudden drop in sign-ups) and was given the run around by Privy for 2 weeks before they finally admitted pausing my Privy campaign because I've now hit some sort of milestone not included in my current plan. No warning was given to me prior (to allow me the opportunity to upgrade and continue the campaign) and they didn't even tell me afterwards - instead they made other excuses for 2 weeks before finally admitting the truth. I've lost valuable customer data as a result. Privy is simply not worth the risk to your business.

Hi Guys, if you are looking for a serious emailing app to work with, this is not what you are looking for. Customer service cant answer emails in 2 days, keep getting auto-replies and copy-paste answers over a week. It is like your are talking to an automated answering system. Probably you are! Dont make 18K positive reviews fool you, probably they are fake. I hope i can get my money back :(
