Ever since BOLD has taken this app over it has been a complete joke. Have been dealing with many integration issues and missing info not being brought over from shopify. Have been working with bold since september to no avail. Since we have been having those issues, many other issues have risen and now it is slowing down multiple areas of my business causing extra problems and costing me more money. Good luck trying to get ahold of them on the phone, every option sends you to a voicemail. They are very unresponsive in emails and the longer this problem has gone on, the less i hear from them. They used to give me a 2 week deadline as to when it would be looked at or fixed, now they don't contact me at all until i email multiple times after waiting a month. Going on close to 5 months now without any solutions.

Listen here, normie. I've been learning how to do my own books for my online Shopify business and this app is an absolute dream. No - dream is an understatement. This shit is a cosmological marvel. As of now, everything seems to be running flawlessly and pretty much automatic. YES. AUTOMATIC. I can literally be shredding my Razor Scooter over to the 7-11 down the street to get a Big Gulp sized orange Crush, while this app is doing the boring-ass grown-up grunt-work for me. Admittedly, I did manage to royally f*ck up a whole year's worth of transactions by exporting them into the incorrect QB accounts, forcing me to delete all transactions with a third party app and re-export from scratch. And unfortunately, this app is so damn accurate that it refused to export a transaction that had already been previously exported by it's half-witted user. It literally refused to make a duplicate export cause my dumb ass couldn't figure out how to use it correctly the first time around. But then, almost out of nowhere, a red-haired angel by the name of Alexa flew down from the gates of Heaven aka Bold customer service and with a flick of her magical programmer wand, turned my epic fail into an EPIC CLIENT SUCCESS and just like that... my problems melted away like a snowman on Canada Day in Saskatoon. Listen here kiddo, if a normie like me can figure it out, a normie like you can figure it out too. So quit reading these reviews and download this shit NOW. Seriously, who needs a bookkeeper? This quickbooks thing has me feeling so intellectual that I'm seriously considering backing out of this whole YouTube thing to pursue being an accountant.

Most of the data imported successfully, but it's creating an issue within Quickbooks when I try to update older duplicate expenses. I can't tell if this is a bug or what. Needs far better documentation and explanation!

Setting up the app and QB for first time. Chatted Bold for a few tax set up questions and Paul called me right away. He helped through my questions quickly, super customer service!

Great customer service! Paul was able to resolve an issue in 10 seconds that Quickbooks couldn't figure out for over 2 days. Keep up the good work!

Challenges can happen and it is the customer service and their solutions that make the difference! In this case, we had a few challenges with integration and my Bold Representative, Paul, was able to quickly assess and fix the issue with me. FYI - you just need to open a customer service ticket and there is a super quick response or you can request a meeting online. Thanks, Bold!!!!

The app does not sync, it pushes data from Shopify to Quickbooks. It uses name matching to push data that is very specific, so set up can be fussy. I struggled at first with BOLD's email support, but when we were unable to resolve the issue there they called me and walked me through it. . If you run inventory and want to keep Shopify and Quickbooks in sync, be aware that data is only pushed and getting the sync to work properly can be tricky. Best is if you can set the items up in Shopify first, then run a transaction to export them, then use the exported items in Quickbooks to set the items up there. Any other method, and the names need to match and follow the formula exactly. If your item has special characters, email BOLD Support in advance for the set up tricks or these items will not match initially. BOLD purchased this app from Quickbooks and they are aware of some of the set up issues. Once it flows, it flows. But hopefully now that this is in the hand of a real developer, better functionality and set up are on the horizon.

I've been using this app for a year or so. Ever since the software was transitioned to Bold for support since probably around Sept or Oct, we've been having issues importing the transactions to QBO. Bold changed the product name by automatically adding a " - " to the end of the name if the product doesn't have a variation. I used import by name and one day all of a sudden, most of my products' names had the dash. Then the accounting system got confused and created service instead of inventory for the products. I talked with Shopify support and they cannot do anything there. Then after some days, the dash issue seemed to fixed, while my accountant is trying to clean up the old issues, now we have products - some with the dashes, some without, some as service, some as products. I contacted Bold and they said it's issues from QBO. What a nightmare! If you are happy now, beware that someday there might be software changes that you won't get informed and you will get screwed. I was happy with the app and shopify, now I am just pulling my hair and see if I can get out of this especially at the busiest time of the year for retailers. Shame on Shopify, shame on Bold.
