To all Shopify merchants, please be extremely cautious before installing the ReferralCandy app. Make sure you review every detail carefully so you fully understand how their service works. Once the ReferralCandy app is installed, they automatically consider your account enrolled and will charge you USD $29—even if you never used any of their services. Even after uninstalling the app from your Shopify store, they do not treat the uninstall as a cancellation of service. They continue to charge your account without verifying whether you are satisfied with their service or whether you used it at all. The charge appears suddenly through Shopify, and they refuse to issue refunds. To make things worse, Shopify does not get involved in fund‑related issues when the charge comes from an app provider. If the app provider refuses to refund you, there is nowhere to seek help or resolution. This creates an extremely unfair and stressful experience for small merchants like us, and it has been deeply disappointing.
