Report Pundit: Custom Reports

I reached out to the support chat before installing. They said I could easily do the reports I needed so I installed and asked them how todo it. They just kept guiding me to a generic custom report help article without any actual help on it. I tried but it was basically just an overally complicated spreadsheet that couldn't even filter by a product name I had to manually type it in. Was easier to download 18000 orders and manually do it on numbers.

The prices listed in Shopify's App Store don't match the actual prices of the app... I'm being offered two different options: the Essential Plan for $45 (regular price $90) and the Essential Plus Plan for $60 (regular price $120). The pricing isn't immediately clear to me regarding when I'll start paying those higher prices. The pricing seems to depend on the Shopify tier, and we have Shopify Plus.

The app works well overall and can be very powerful once properly set up. The team eventually solved the issue I had and fixed the custom report for my invoicing needs. However, their workflow remains risky. Whenever you ask for a change or adjustment, they often make edits directly on your existing reports without first creating a copy — which has caused several major problems for me over time, even blocking my accounting workflow for days. Email schedules sometimes don’t arrive, and there are occasional synchronization issues with the data. Despite their claims, I honestly believe their servers are sometimes unstable or lower in quality than expected. The support team is responsive, but they seriously need to improve their internal processes and double-check changes before applying them, especially for users who rely on the app for financial and invoicing reports.

Gave it a test run. Not loving Report Pundit. The UI and the actual reports are not as impressive as other reporting apps. And the lag time to generate a report is painfully slow. Guess I’ll stick with the Metorik app which seems more polished. It’s just slightly more expensive, but worth it for my needs.

I have experienced incorrect inventory and now incorrect sales history. Chatting with someone to help fix the issue is just a waiting game. Its obvious they are mutli-tasking.
