It works but needs tweaks to be a good useable app. Firstly, If you have spent 10 minutes finding all the products you wish to print barcodes for, if one is missing a number, rather than throw you out of all the hard work you have done putting it on a list to print, how about it designate a barcode and then go to the next page for the quantity of labels needed?. This one is the deal breaker for me. Transfers!. I have just put over 350 new stock items that arrived today, now all of these products need barcode labels. Why cant there be a button to print barcode labels from that screen. It would save hours of work?. It took me ages to enter it for the transfer, having to compile the exact list again to generate the labels is a huge waste of time!.

I have run into duplicate barcodes, several, since my shop reopened 3 days ago. Also, I have had been trying to scan products created today and none are scanning. This is frustrating. The POS doesn’t recognize the products at all. But if I search the product with the barcode number in the admin, they are there.

Really useful, but they should implement the option to edit the label text format. Prices should be a bit bigger. In that case my rating would be 5.

This is a very useful app, no doubt, but... Everytime I want to see a preview of the label, it says "There was a problem generating a preview". Also, even though I successfully print the labels (Without reviewing it in preview option), I never gets price printed. Do you know what would be the issue?

The app works as intended - however - they don't have Avery labels in American sizes/styles. You have to buy a European version for their template to work. I like that they bulk create barcodes - however - I had to go to the Avery website itself to design my own - which pretty much made this 99% not useful. If they can update their templates and add the 1x1 or the 1.5 x 1.5 in American template formatting that would be amazing.

In regards to European vs. American, it sounds like you may be referring to metric vs. imperial. In that case, you'll just want to convert the sizing to find out the equivalent label in inches. Not bad - has some quirks. Occasionally when I choose to generate barcodes for a product, and it says it's finished generating, the next screen tells me that not all products have a barcode. So I have to click Generate barcode again and pray that all of the items get a barcode. Repeat a couple of times, until they all actually do have a barcode. This seems to happen 1 out of 3 times. Please fix! Otherwise decent app.

Lacks support for custom labels. Great app otherwise. I would give 5-stars if it had that one feature. We use a custom printer.

The bar codes really help me organize my inventory. But when I print multiple out at a time, 3 or 4 of them will not print correctly on the Dymo sticker leaving me to try and printing them again. So I cannot print more than 5 at a time otherwise it will mess up and skip and not print correctly. Yes I have the right stickers and set up sizes. If I print less than 5 at a time they come out perfect each time.

It's sometimes frustrating because it won't created barcodes on items. You have to repeatedly hit create. Other than that it's good

There needs to be a way to input other sizes for templates. I have extra small dymo labels that are compatible with my dymo printer I purchased from Shopify, but I am unable to use them as their size isn't supported in the app.

Our Product names are sometimes too long to fit on one line on the barcode sticker. It would be great if there was an option to have the product name go on two lines on the sticker?
Hi, there! While this isn't possible within the Retail Barcode Labels app itself, you can resolve this issue via the Dymo software that is downloaded when you install the printer. I'd recommend shortening your product titles, however if this isn't an option then you can actually use the Dymo labels online interface to shrink the title so that it fits on the label. We are no longer able to access the Retail Barcode Label App - we are getting a message that the IP address is not recognised. Have tried deleting the app & re-installing it, however when we try to re-install it, it also shows a message that the IP address is not recognised. I have emailed the support email address without response. I am very disappointed by this & it is affecting our ability to run our business.

Barcode printing works great. Wish that the prompt to create barcodes after selecting the ones to print, wouldn’t make you start all over. There should be an option to creat barcodes for selected print items, where one doesn’t already exist.

Shame we can't select our own label size. I really need to print brother 23x23 labels. Please make this an option!

The app works, but could work faster. Also why is it not possible to print all labels for items received on a purchase order. Does not make sense you need to go one by one even though you already have all items and quantities in the purchase order.

5/6/21 Update: Got a printer like a Rollo and cannot use with it. Wish you had more printer options. Love that it's free! Was able to create bar codes for my products and print. NEED ability to pick starting label position on sheet of Avery 5160 labels. If I printed 10 labels on sheet, then next time I print, I would like to start printing at label position 11, not 1.
Hi, there! I believe you're referring to being able to start printing anywhere on an Avery page. In this case, some people have been able to flip the page around to print starting on the other end, in order to reduce that waste. The App seems to be doing what it's made for and quiet easily. Only down side is not having the option to add blank labels at the beginning of an Avery page. If I have already used half an Avery page for printing, I can't use the other half anymore :(
Hi, there! You're correct that there wouldn't currently be a way to add blank labels at the beginning, in order to only use a half page. Barcode labels by default are meant to fill the page, so your best bet here will be use smaller label sizes that will fit your labels correctly. Works quite well. Is buggy if your text isn't formatted correctly (if you have funny characters in your product title) Would be nice to be able to customise the layout and add logo / thumbnail - also be great to be able to use with other DYMO sized labels, not just the preset ones.

Why did you take away the auto print feature for labels? Now we have to go through 2 extra steps, it's not as easy and streamlined?! Would love to see the auto print feature return.

Mostly easy to use, but: shopify does not allow enough templates to choose the sizes of labels that we actually need, so we have to select a "nearest" size and print at 73%.
