The barcodes generated from this app use the last 8 numbers from the variant URL in Shopify so occasionally it creates duplicates. This wasn't a major problem when I had a small inventory. I would delete the new products with duplicate barcodes and recreate them (the only fix I'm aware of). Now since my catalog has expanded I'm regretting not going with a paid barcode generator as I get a lot of duplicates and changing to a new provider will break reporting and syncing with other platforms. It seems that this problem could be fixed by the developers if they added more characters to the barcode instead of only using 8 characters.

Our Retail Barcode Labels Apps assigns barcodes to your products based on the last 8 digits of your product variant IDs and generally these are unique to each one. Even so, if a store has a very large number of products, there is a small chance that some of the variants can have the same 8 last digits, hence "duplicating a barcode" in such cases. The basics of this app work well but I cannot understand why there isn't a feature for me to bulk upload the labels that I want to print via CSV. It is so time consuming having to individually select each product and fill in the amount of labels that I want to print. It seems like such an easy solution - its in place for plenty of other Shopify apps

The most basic label printing, not customizable. Can't include all the information needed on the size label we use. Other paid label printing apps are able to put everything we need on the size label we use, so it's possible.

Being free is the only good thing. Why would a barcode app that generates barcodes generate duplicates? That should not be possible. More disappointing though is the print quality from Shopify is terrible. We use a Dymo label printer and these barcode look awful and some wont even scan. If you print the exact same barcode through the Dymo desktop app it's flawless. What is Shopify doing to cause the barcodes to loose such quality? A fix for this would great.

The printing quality issue you described is strange, and there should not be a demonstrable difference between the two apps. It might be no harm to check your printer settings when printing with the Retail Barcode Label app, as the resolution settings might need to be optimised. Steps to do that can be found here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/hardware/barcode-printer/retail-barcode-labels#recommended-print-settings-for-barcode-labels. When generating barcodes in the Retail Barcode Labels app you have several options to choose from; to create barcodes for all or specific products, to generate barcodes only for products without barcodes, or to replace existing barcodes with new ones. To avoid duplicates, we would advise making sure that you are definitely selecting the option to create barcodes only for products or variants that don't have barcodes yet. If you are already doing so and the issue persists it would definitely be worth reaching out to our Retail support team via https://shopify.link/vRn so we can see if we can establish the root cause of the issue and prevent this from happening again. You can only have 1 saved barcode style - & if product has long titel cuts off colour ansd size

You absolutely should be able to save more than one barcode label template at a time, so that is strange. In relation to the issue where information is being cut off, that might indicate that the label in question is too small for the amount of text, or an unsupported printer or label size is in use, or because the printer settings have not been optimised. Nous avons un problème avec cette application qui ne respecte pas les formats d'étiquettes. La moitié des étiquettes sont décalées, c'est vraiment embêtant. Y a t il une solution ? une mise à jour ?

This app will no longer create barcodes for me. I have cleared my cache, reloaded my shopify, only selected one item at a time to create barcodes, and done the selection for create barcodes for all products with out barcodes. Nothing seems to work after trying 10x and the robot has offered all these suggestions-which I have done with no avail. Additionally, the app also don't not print multiple varients on my 1x1 labels. I am trying to switch over from lightspeed for my pos system, and lightspeed was able to get all my info onto these 1x1 tags no problem.

Good app but it is diabolical to force users out of child/variation back to parent page in order to then access the barcode app. Bring this to the "more actions..." menu on each individual child. Thank you!

Everything has worked fine until now, but for about a week the barcode generation page has not been updating to the “barcodes created” state. This makes the app harder and slower to use. What could be causing this bug?

This is best free app to generate barcode and print retail labels. But unfortunately, i am not able to add price component in the tag, recently, although it was supported earlier. When creating label template, when price component option is checked , the preview just ignores it and only lists couple of components, and the final print pdf, also indicates same.Looks like a glitch. Hope it will be fixed soon.

eine einfache anwendung die ihren zweck erfüllt aber doch zahlreiche schwächen hat. in verbindung mit shopify und zebra drucker bleibt kaum gestaltungsspielraum. längere bezeichnungen werden bis zur unleserlichkeit verkleinert um in eine zeile zu passen.

Very glitchy. When adding products it keeps previous printed products in gthe cue so you will have to restart app or manually go to each and set print to 0 so as to not duplicate barcode printing

When pulling up the product view to select the products you wish to print labels for, it should pull up a list of all your available products to do so, rather than pulling up products previously printed. This is a great app if you only need to print barcodes once as it will not allow a second print, even if you uninstall, reinstall, and create new codes for your products. I struggled with it for far too long before removing.

Update 3/27/25: This app is now creating duplicated barcodes numbers. When scanning products at the register, I have to choose which product it belongs to. Almost there. Too many steps to print labels. Why do I need to "create barcodes" before printing labels? Might as well create the barcodes as I print labels at the same time. Need product names on jewelry tags and all product names on other tags are too short.

need to be able to add compare price on label
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! I understand for some, displaying the compare at price is important. Labels have very limited space and typically customers are more interested in verifying size, etc. I will pass on your suggestion to our developers, though, as they are always interested in merchant feedback.

Ürün başlığında Türkçe karakterler (ç, ğ, ı, İ, ö, ş, ü) kullandığımda baskı yapınca başlık gözükmüyor. Bu durum, Türkçe karakter içeren ürün başlıklarının düzgün bir şekilde yazdırılamamasına neden oluyor.

Easy app. But I just can not put an extra line (product name etc) on one side of my jewelry labels, which is so annoying!! I have to scan the label before i can stick it on my jewelry. Double the work, impossible to do with so many products!! I use this app for 2 years and that little detail pushes me to take another app!!! I DESPARTLY NEED AN EXTRA LINE to see the name of the product, Please help me out!!!

Debería dejar poner el signo de euro € a la derecha. Además el signo sale pegado al primer número, casi montado encima. Por lo demás, hace lo esperado pero para el mercado € no es buena opción
