Four months in and Seal has been seamless. No issues or concerns regarding conversions. Customers have noted how easy it was to setup their subscriptions at checkout.
This app is user friendly and easy to navigate. Would recommend for anyone. Their plan is also reasonable pricing.
Seal works great! It is easy to use. I wish it was possible to edit credit card information on subscription. We have customers call and want us to update their credit card, and the software does not allow us to do that. The customer has to do it themselves via email. Some of our older customers don't have email.

But let me also reply to your question here. As per credit card industry's security standards, we mustn't save or handle any full credit cart data. However, Shopify allows you to updated the credit card information for some payment methods directly on the customer's profile in Shopify. You can check if you can also do this in your case in Shopify admin > Customers > click on the customer and then on the right side, you should have an option to update the credit card data next to the payment methods ;) Regards, Seal Subscriptions team

The app is very easy to manage, with lots of nice features, both, for prepaid and recurring subscriptions. I like the idea that you can pair it with other apps according to what you need. The customer portal is very easy to access. Support is also really fast, kind and help you solve any issues in a timely manner. There should be more personalization features, though.
Some of what Seal offers is great; however, there are a few key drawbacks that made me choose to find a new service within a couple months of starting. The biggest one is the inability to modify existing subscriptions in bulk. I wanted to change which date they charged on and I had to go through each one, one by one, to manually adjust this. This was annoying but doable with 50 subscribers, but would become untenable with growth. Secondly, the tax settings don't sync with the product in the Shopify store, so our subscribers have consistently not been charged sales tax, and Subify tells me the only way to fix this is actually to delete every existing subscription and recreate them one by one. The manual work involved to make basic changes of fix issues has made me look elsewhere -- which is too bad, because the UI of Seal is really nice otherwise.
Hi, We are currently working with merchant to resolve these issues, but we wanted to also write a reply about this here :) 1.) We are planning on creating a functionality, which will allow you to edit subscriptions in bulk. This will allow you to easily adjust them even if you have tens of thousands of subscriptions. 2.) As per our email correspondence, the sales tax is something that is automatically calculated by Shopify. Our app (and other subscription apps) have no control over how the sales tax is calculated and charged, as this is entirely controlled by Shopify. Having said that, we have opened a ticket with Shopify Support about your specific case. We are currently working on finding a workaround for this glitch which is most likely happening with Shopify Checkout :) If anyone else needs help with our app, it will be best to simply send us an email to [email protected] as our team is always more than happy to help merchants succeed :) Regards, Seal Subscriptions team

Support is A+, subscription customization is awesome. Just wish it had some sort of referral/affiliate tracking ability then it would be perfect. Otherwise still the best subscription app available.
So easy to set up, as a small start up business I love that there's a free option to get me started, will upgrade when I have more orders coming through - thank you so much.
