This Search and Filter app has been the easiest configuration and development on our store. I looked into and tried several apps to enable search filers on the search page, and one that would allow me to maintain these filters/data on my changing product catalog easily. This app eventually won out and I've used it for at least 2 years now. No complaints and I am not going anywhere. Their prices are very reasonable and app was easy to set up and use. Their support team is responsive and their responses are always on point, compared to some support teams where you can wait for days and several escalations later, you are left with completely not-on-point responses to your issues. Only area I would note for improvement is the UI. Again, the cost is much lower than others and this is a great choice for small business websites with a small IT budget.

UPDATE: It has now been several years since we first started using Searchanise. This is still a fantastic app. The Searchanise team has continued adding useful features and their support is better than any other Shopify app we use. Our needs have required a few creative modifications due to the size of our product offering, and they have quickly addressed our needs. I still highly recommend this app for the top search bar + widget, side filtering by tag, sorting, SEO and more. Smart Search Bar & Filters by Searchanise is a fantastic search app. We use it for both the search box and the "Narrow your Search" functionality on the sidebar. The search box has many capabilities, including matching of text in your product titles and descriptions. We sell automotive fasteners and have tens of thousands of cross-reference numbers, year/make/model combinations, part attributes such as length, width, height, etc. and Searchanise accommodates all of it. Our customers easily find what they need by searching nearly anything related to the product. In addition, Searchanise accommodates synonyms of search terms, and you can add replacement words so that if somebody searches using an odd phrase or word you can have that redirect to the correct product. You can also run many different reports. We run the Zero Results report frequently which shows us what customers are searching for, and allows us to figure out how best to direct that search in the future. Finally, support is top-notch. This is a big team developing this product with a proper ticketing system, fast follow-up, complete answers to questions, proper escalation as needed, etc. Even for feature improvements you'll find they are very eager to hear your suggestions and often will roll out the changes quickly. This app is well worth the money, I don't think we could run our business without it.

This is the best searchbar app on Shopify. Where others I have downloaded have required code editing to get it to function the way you want- this one doesn't. You can hide collections, tags, and whatever else you don't want to be visible in search results. There are tons of settings that may take a little while to learn to but the documentation and support is also fantastic and is right there to help you with getting it set up just right for your store.

Exceptional to say the least. The app functions great, has great features, but to top it off the support is exceptional. Ilya and Vladimir helped us with various customizations that really made everyone happy. So glad we made this switch from our previous search app.

Apart from being quite happy with the functionality which we’ve used for some time to ease the use of our 2500+ catalogue, what I cherish the most is the support. We updated our Shopifiy platform and theme and of course had a lot of issue to solve. Smart Search Bar & Filters included, but this was solved quickly by their support. With swift answers and solution-oriented approaches, they even made the necessary adjustments for us in the backend to make it all work again. Thank you Stacy
