A great application, especially in my line of business, that features gemstones that are easily misspelled. The same holds true for names of designers. The app assists my potential client in locating what looking for quickly and easily.

Largely given the options (mainly this versus InstantSearch+), Searchanise is the best available search provider for Shopify. Our main issue is that the app is still really weak/simplistic when it comes to search. For example, searching "table" on our store pulls up "table lamp" and "table clocks" as top results. Expected top results should be "dining tables" and "coffee tables". Trying to play with synonyms did not work, since it only applies to exact search strings. In fact, InstantSearch+ seems to be slightly more intelligent since they're able to provide the proper results (emphasis on "slightly" since they failed some basic search tests elsewhere). However, the cost of Searchanise is far superior and they also have some core features that InstantSearch+ does not. InstantSearch+ seems to have had a head start and coasted at this point - and it shows. InstantSearch+'s overall dashboard and "feel" is outdated compared to Searchanise, which we hope will continue to improve. Another point is customer service - the Searchanise team was very responsive and supportive of the few emails I sent. InstantSearch+'s service felt rather dismissive (a lot of one liners and ignoring some technical questions altogether). Overall, both apps fall short of what's expected from a power search app. Searchanise wins on affordability, customer support, and a weak competitive field. We'd pay more if the search was more accurate, but, given current lack of core search accuracy, the app still falls short of its main purpose. For a great search example, a competitor like Wayfair's search bar perfectly reflects user intent within the furniture/decor industry (but who knows how many times more they've invested into their technology).

Seems to be working out great!!! Great customer service - had a question that I emailed and it was answered promptly. So far I'm very happy with the App as I haven't been using it too long.

This is search is much better than the default search. The results from a search are relevant and useful.

I'm very pleased with the app, it does what it's supposed to do. Nice options to customize the look to match your store. The hardest part was deciding which colors to use.

New Review 6/2/2018: Still an amazing app. I did have one small complaint about their fuzzy search matching. Support came back to me right away with a workaround. About a week later they updated their search engine so I didn't need the workaround. Thanks, Searchanise! You all are amazing! Old Review: I just wanted something to help me with some fuzzy searching. The built-in search is just weak. I got that and more! It's beautiful. Installation is so simple. If I could solve all my business problems for just $20 a month life would be great. As it stands I will settle for solving this huge problem for so cheap. I am REALLY happy with it. I haven't dived into the analytics yet but can't wait until have the time to do it.

Excellent app will full featured functions. Just what we were looking for to massage search results. Easy to customize. And quick, friendly customer service. Not much to complain about. Says what it does, does what it says.
