It doesn't work, as others have stated. The main issue is that it does not reset at the end of the day. Seems like such a simple fix, yet Shopify doesn't care to fix it. Insane.

Since I was forced to update my Tidbyt counter no longer works with Shopify.
Exactly what everyone says, ever since the update the counter doesn't work anymore, completely worthless.
paid 300 dollar for the machine and the app is not even working, anyone knows a app that work., and this app is even make by shopify. unbelievble
The counter became useless after Shopify forced us to update the app. 1- The app don't reset when the watch hits 0:00, it just keeps adding numbers 2- We configured the numbers to exclude unpaid orders, but they are still being counted 3- Random ups and downs in the day 4- Refunds are not being counted. So if you sell $1,000 but refund $2,000, the app would still show you've sold $1,000 5- And the more important thing: WE CAN'T GO BACK to the old App, they removed it from the Shopify App Store. If you have the Counter and are requested to update it: DON'T DO IT!
It works if i do that: finally got this to work by completely uninstalling the app in Shopify and starting again. The interesting thing is it started to work after I put the name of the counter in the Shopify app different to what it's called on the Smiirl webpage. Maybe that did the trick, maybe it didn't.
Should have kept the old app. I have to refresh the count daily. It has made the counter useless.
This new version of the app does not work. First the number was wrong and now the number on the counter keeps going up by 2 for every one sale. The old app was so great, I just set it and forgot about it and it worked!
Ever since the new app dropped, the counter is ALWAYS incorrect. Whenever I get an order, the counter value decreases. I have to manually update it EVERY time. Which was not my expectation when I purchased the counter.
Ever since updated as stated by Shopify; our counter doesn't work. Can't even get into the app (Rate Exceeded) error message.
Does not work any more, bugging out constantly! Massive disappointment. My counter never works anymore and I have tried everything even reaching out to support with no luck.
Was a bit hit and miss but the new app seems to have made things more robust. Thanks!
Don't bother updating to the new version, doesn't work
Won't connect to Shopify. App just gives error "An error occurred, please try again later" over and over.
I also had trouble with the new app but ColorMeCarole's solution works - Go to your Smirll account - Switch "OPTIONS" from JSON to PUSH NUMBER. - within these settings you'll find your "Counter ID" and "Counter Token" - randomly input a number in the display field and hit "SAVE" (your counter should start updating to display whichever number you inputed) - Go back to your SHOPIFY Counter app within Shopify. - Setup the counter with your "ID and TOKEN" numbers. - Select "Display orders for today" and hit SAVE. Somehow after doing those steps above it FINALLY worked for me, didn't give me a single error and my counter works the way it did before when using the old app. Then I switched the app settings to show Most Recent Order Number and BAM, it works great!
Faster updates than before, but still not reliable in terms of total sales. - Add the ability to show sales less returns - Add the ability to show lifetime number of items sold

Gave up on it. Our counter is not that important to waste time trying to install the app. Can not easily find the "Counter ID" and "Counter Token". The app locks up in Safari and won't go section to section. It is very lagging. Never did install it. I have more important things to do. The counter was fun but this new app is not good.
I can't get this to work and now our JSON connection is broken so our counters are now not working
