Wow, what a disappointment. The original Order Printer was certainly not the best, but I presume most of us eventually got it to work and considered that a sunk cost. Years later and this is what you've got? You have to be kidding! I'm hours into it and I still can't get decent results, the templates are lousy and it has been super flaky, sometimes completely failing to load. This clearly comes down to an absolutely poorly managed Product Management group. There appears to be absolutely no voice of customer at Shopify. Who in the world asked for this? Wake up Shopify! When your own app can't even get a 2.0 rating something is broken, that starts with Product Management. Fix It! Someone should be held accountable.

I'm only using this app to print an invoice for B2B customers when needed. Given this use, I do believe this app is an improvement compared to the legacy app. The standard template looks much better, and with some HTML knowledge you can improve the template.

Looks like another complete and utter failure to go along with the many other failures from the Shopify development team. I'm curious as to why Shopify continues to log so many failures in a market landscape that has so many different competitors. This failure coupled with Shopify's failure to add simple dimensional shipping proves that they don't have their customers best interests at heart.

There is absolutely no reason to change, and this breaks templates that we paid to use. Shopify, please include a legacy for mode so sellers aren't forced to completely redevelop templates.

I do not like the new app at all. My old template doesn't work and I can't seem to edit this one with any of the coding. Someone please tell me how to get the shipping title to show on the packing slip? It takes too much time to look at each order individually to see what shipping method to use. I tried several of the variables and none of them are working!

When you think UPGRADE, you think Improvement. Not the case here. Shopify should have a core comprehensive Order Printer app, AT NO COST considering the monthly cost shop owners already incur. The existing (legacy) order printer works and has some customization in the code that works for my business. I do over 11,000 orders per year. Now Shopify is forcing a migration to an inferior order printer app, by sunsetting the legacy order printer. You should have a choice or a "Voice" as a shop owner. It's almost as if they are forcing you to pay for a 3rd party app, so Shopify can generate more revenue. This is shameful corporate greed. Shame on you Shopify!

After years of successfully using Order Printer with my branding customisations, the app has been decreed a 'Legacy' app and all users need to migrate to this new one. This new Order Printer App is completely broken. I followed the instructions to copy the code from legacy app and paste it in the new app. Whilst the branding customisations - Logo , font style etc migrated ok, 7 critical pieces of order information are now missing from my Invoices: - No Invoice Date - No Invoice Number - No Ship to details ( customer name and address ) - No Shipping Method - No Sub Total - No Total - No Total Paid An invoice is not an invoice without these details. It seems that to have this critical information included you need to follow their instructions to change certain elements of code. These instructions are written with the expectation that you have significant knowledge of HTML, and there is no assistance for anyone who doesn't. Given that users paid to have customised templates in the legacy version originally, we should not have to find and pay a developer to have these changes migrated to the new app being forced upon us. Hoping that a fix for these issues is provided soon and that in the meantime the Legacy app is left in place so we are not without the ability to issue invoices

I would give this a negative star if I could. This app is awful. The templates are horrendous. It doesn't include the notes. I have used Order Printer and (paid) Order Printer Templates for years - super easy to customize and looked great. Now they are no longer supported and we're directed to use this awful app. Do better, Shopify.

Little to no functionality. The instructions to migrate templates does not work. There is not a way to customize new templates. The current printer app was fine. Wish I could just continue using the legacy version.

Absolutely awful. Templates don't migrate and no easy way to start over and create new templates branded and customized to your store - even from scratch. What a total about face from the old Order Printer app. For now, this is completely unusable, but I'm sure Shopify will force us to use this at some point in the future. The best you can do with this app is a basic shipping list that looks like a printout from a hardware store.

If you are still running Lagecy do yourself a favor DO NOT GET THIS! Once Lagcey is removed find another option. I would leave a review but I think most other people have already pointed out how once again Shopify has taken something not broken and broke it.

UPDATE: Vast improvement with the new IMPORT feature that Shopify has just added. I imported my legacy templates into the Shopify Order Printer and they work perfectly and once again they look beautiful. Thank you for listening, Shopify, and for creating an easy way for shopowners who do not code or mess with liquid to easily recreate their order forms from a legacy app into your app. From a 1 star review to a 5 star review. INITIAL REVIEW: Horrible, frankly. Confusing, not intuitive - you need html knowledge to customize and edit the code. I copied and pasted the code from my legacy app and even with that there are myriad changes that have to be made to add order number. correct date, add shipping. This new app is frustrating and sloppy. Absolutely no way to easily edit this code without vast html experience.

It has been most difficult to transfer our invoice templates to this app from the legacy version. I've had to teach myself enough coding to be able to figure out how to make the old template work here, which has taken me so many working hours, for there to find out afterwards that there's issues that many other people are experiencing because they haven't even been fixed by the developers yet. After all that work our template isn't ready to be used yet because there's no solution to page breaks, and the time to use the legacy version is running out. I'm sure I'm speaking for many of us users when I ask for an extension on the legacy app availability, or these issues being fixed asap AND providing sufficient support to those users that don't have the resources to deal with it themselves.

To migrate your old templates, you'll need to copy your template's code from the legacy app, and then paste the code into the new app. However, the new Shopify Order Printer app has a slightly different implementation than the legacy Order Printer app. This means that some of your existing templates might not work initially, and you might need to make some adjustments to your template's code. So far I dislike it. The original one easily allowed you to add logo and the packing slip had large customer address so you can use as a shipping label. We need to be able to easily create to suit our styles
