We used Recharge a few years ago but encountered several issues. That’s when we had the opportunity to connect with Kennan (Skio’s founder), who helped us migrate to Skio. Given our unique setup, the process involved many steps, but his team was incredibly responsive and patient throughout—making the transition seamless. What stood out to us was Skio’s commitment to real, human communication. Unlike other subscription apps that rely on impersonal ticketing systems, Skio provided direct access to their team—a huge benefit for us. Even as Skio has grown over the years (and as one of their smaller brands), their customer service has remained exceptional. From day one, we’ve felt valued, and whenever issues arise, we know their team will work with us to resolve them—like a true partnership. Their platform is intuitive and user-friendly, and it’s become one of our most essential apps. We’re so glad we made the switch. If you’re looking for a subscription app that’s easy to use and backed by an outstanding team, I highly recommend Skio.

Let’s be real—the top Shopify subscription platforms all offer similar tools and interfaces. What truly sets Skio apart is their exceptional support. I can't speak highly enough about our experience so far, Josiah who did our migration was really communicative and it went super smooth. So far we've had a few onboarding calls with Karl who's been able to help us set up various features that should solve a lot of our pain points that we were struggling with - optimising the customer portal to remove friction, setting up a cancellation flow to minimise churn, and surprise and delight to reward our customers. Super excited to see the potential uplift from this!

Getting build-a-box right out of the box was also a big improvement to our subscriber experience, so we can showcase and let customers benefit from purchasing our variety of flavors.
