THEY WILL ROB YOU W/O YOUR PERMISSION. First, let me just say my site has not launched and I was getting all my ducks in a row for launch date; including sms marketing. I'm currently building a list. I signed up for a FREE SERVICE (READ THAT AGAIN). Later I needed help to set up one keyword. PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE GIVEN A $6 CREDIT UPON SIGNUP Customer service was GREAT- HELPED AND DID NOT INFORM IT WAS A CHARGE ($15). OK cool, so that would leave a balance of $21 (minus .04 for a test text sent). But then I wake up the next day and receive an email stating I was billed $30 ADDITIONAL. Please Note- I DO NOT HAVE AUTO RELOAD ACTIVATED. Spoke to Rosen D (csr) and he stated I could request for a refund by submitting the ticket. I WAS CLEAR THAT I WANT A REFUND BECAUSE I WAS ROBBED AND HUSTLED! I submit the ticket and NOW THEY ARE TRYING TO REFUSE THE REFUND FOR AN APP I DELETED AND WILL NOT AND CANNOT USE DUE TO NO TRUST. SINCE THEY ARE REFUSING AND I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THEM TO MAKE ANY DEBITS- I WILL GO TO MY BANK AND DISPUTE IT! I HAVE PROOF OF THE CONVO, PLUS THEIR ENTIRE SETUP IS MISLEADING. YOU WILL BE CHARGED AS A FREE USER AND NOT EVEN KNOW!

Not a fan of having to pay to read what a customer replied. I understand sending a message back to the customer has a cost to their company so we should pay per every SMS we send, but just reading what a customer said does not have any server cost for them, they already have the message there, in their database, they just don't want me to read it unless I pay for a monthly plan.

To flee, I have never seen such an expensive application, they are vicious, they make you believe that if you put a certain amount of money you will have access to a lot of things and then once put you have to put money back, I asked for a refund, it's been a week I've been debited double while I ask for a refund, there are better applications, flee. À fuir, je n’ai jamais vu une application aussi chere, ils sont vicieux, ils vous font croire que si vous mettez une certaine somme d'argent vous aurez accès à plein de choses puis une fois mises il faut encore remettre de l'argent, j'ai demandé un remboursement, ça va faire 1 semaine j'ai été débité le double alors que je demande un remboursement, il y a des meilleures applications, fuyez.

We were using the app in Australia for around 6-8 months, we did not have any issue until now, around two weeks ago Facebook disables our pixel and nightmare started, I need to let the world know as it may help me to fix the problem quicker, Copy paste from FaceBook: The issue "Potentially Violating Personal Data Sent to Facebook" was found on events coming from the URL below. To test for yourself, copy a URL into the Test Events tool to see what event information is being sent from the page. Copy-paste from SMS Bump tech support The case is still with the dev team, looking at the report it appears to be having issues with the phone part of the phone part of the URL, once we have feedback we will update further, Chis from SMS bump answer ones in two days and can't give me an exact answer, Want to really help everyone around, even if it will be resolved I am having a terrible experience with the app

Charged me 30$ for nothing without even letting me know how much they would charge before. Very bad support. No help at all. Very disappointed.

I don't understand how y'all gave this app good reviews. It is completely inaccessible and customer service sucks. They left me high and dry, stole my money and didn't give an explanation as to how it got there. I'm still waiting.

Requested refund for the $20 paid for the first month, they told us that they would provide a "credit" to shopify and then we would have to manually request a payment back from shopify. This is the real reason for the 1 star review. Just give the money back... so hard to even get started... Seems they want screenshots etc to get started or something so we may just stick to Winback SMS where our list is doing great.

I cannot upload my list of opt-ins. I've done the work to have customers opt-in and they will not accept that. This is absolutely outrageous and a waste of my time.

customer service doesn't exist, the app doesn't work and just loads to a white screen, wrote to them 2 times already and have yet to get a reply.

Rip off, Their prices are ridiculously high. I do not recommend them. Also their interface is terrible. YOTOP is scam

Unprofessional! Uninstalled the app and they still charged me $60usd and deleted my account so i couldnt get my unused money out. They are even still trying to charge my credit card.

Unprofessional. Made me lose so much time and money, they get your account inactive without telling you. Note to their reply : I had no problem with complying, I even asked their support and they told me everything was fine. Many things have to be improved on this app. I advice to rather go to an email solution like Omnisend that have SMS (or Klaviyo too I think).

This is a fake service which does not intergrate with smile at all, you will loose money and be charge for intergartion which doesn’t work I all fairness lying isn’t gonna get you off the fraudulent hook. 1 charging for a service which doesn’t exists is called Fraud !!!!!! 2 I’m yet to wait for a response from your so called developer team . 3 I have reported this to Shopify investigations , and lodged a complaint with smile and will lay a charge of fraud with the CCMA INTERNATIONAL . Hence this is a fake plug in , app service , which takes your money but doesn’t delivery what is promised , FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE

Hey, We've been in touch with you trying to help you set up Smile for some time already. Not sure what you refer as "fake service" as we are waiting for a response from your side. Thanks and looking forward to fixing this. Update1: responded to the customer almost instantaneously. They have a problem with a third party integration. Working on solving it for them, but the customer stopped communicating. Update2: The customer stopped responding after countless of reach outs.

The worst experience EVER, I've been waiting for their response for 3 weeks, but I still got no response at all on any of my help requests or refund request. I emailed them 5 times and contacted an online service 3 times. I already added $20 to my account. The worst part is I can NOT even open the App. I've been waiting like an idiot wasting my time and my money. I can not even open the dashboard. The App does NOT work at all. It keeps popping out to smsbump.com. It looks like the app is nothing to do with Shopify. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS APP. Terrible after-sale service(no service at all) All I want to do is get my money back.

Does not import Shopify contacts, it's pointless to download. The support suggests adding other sign up forms, so what's the point of having the app?
Hello, We've checked your case and unfortunately, as my colleagues already told you, there are strict laws for sending SMS messages. Unfortunately, your list was not compliant with those laws. Compliance is our number one priority and we would only allow lists from other text marketing apps, which have been neatly gathered. Just as an example if you message your clients without them opting in properly, you can get a lawsuit for $500 to $1500 per text message and we definitely cannot tolerate that.

These guys are scamming people. Their old plan is no longer there in the current list and has almost same features as the new 19$ plan but they keep on charging 35$ for it. The important thing to keep a note of: When you try to load credit into the app for the first time, they would try trick you to upgrade to pay 34.99$ for a plan (when it doesn't even exist). I was trying loading 20$ and assumed I was agreeing to pay 20$. But 11 months later I was paying 35$ all these months. This difference is small compared to their bigger monthly bills that include sms charges, so it went unnoticed. When asked about why would they ask for 34.99$ plan even now (I tried their app on another store recently and it happened again but luckily I caught it), they had no answer. This guy Chris was like plain unacknowledging of the fact that there was anything wrong at all and couldn't answer. BEWARE !

I know that we've already explained this to you privately but here is a summary: If you message your clients without them opting in properly, you can get a lawsuit for $500 to $1500 per text message. I know that you've already uninstalled our app, but if you decide to give it another shot, do not hesitate to contact us. Be really aware of this app. They activate subscription even if you didn't sign for and when you contact the support they refuse to refund. My story 0 SMS send = + 100$ bill. Save your money, use another app.
Hello there! Stoyan here from the SMSBump team. I believe that there is some confusion here. We (and basically every Shopify partner) do not have the ability to activate a subscription without explicit consent from the merchant. This is all regulated by Shopify. With that said, you either activated the subscription yourself or someone did it on your behalf. With that said, If you decide to try our app again, feel free to contact our 24/7 live agents who can answer every question that you may have.

This app fraudulently charged my account. I have not used it at all and I've been charged 4 $10 charges all on the same day even though I clearly have no activity shown. I will remove this once they have reversed the charges. Very unhappy.

This is my 1st ever bad review and it's because I'm well and truly disappointed with the customer support which is the worst I've ever experienced considering I use much smaller apps who take their customer support actually seriously. I've asked customer service my questions over 5 times each time I have politely elaborated and clarified my enquiry making it as clear as possible for the evidently outsourced VAs in the Philippines. Let me show you my exact last clarification of the question I have asked so many times yet to no avail have I received a clear answer and you'll see it's not obscure or bizarre it is perfectly legitimate: "Let me explain my enquiry once again that way we are on the same page :) I just got SMS bump and I was watching Kamil who you interviewed, make an abandon cart automation on SMS bump I noticed however that he would say something along the lines of "you forgot some items in your cart" but what if they just had 1 item in their cart you agree that saying "you forgot some items in your cart" wouldn't be correct nor would say "you have 1 item left in your cart" be correct if they indeed have 2. Do you see what I mean? I was hoping you could give me a solution to this or at least give me advice on how other people are going around this issue?" So that is my question which I have already clarified countless amounts of time through my chat history and let me show you the responses I've received which honestly are so irrelevant and nonsensical that I can almost feel as if it is the job of the customer service to led their clients astray so that they end up giving up on customer service. Let me also inform the readers once again that this is my first ever bad review as a matter of fact, I've only given 5 star reviews but as I said let me show you just some of the uninformative answers I received to my question: "Would you be able to elaborate on this please, if there's something you found in the automations that you would like to clarify with us please tell us" - How on earth is this answering my question? Elaborate on what?? Specify for goodness sake I made it as clear as day! "Hey there! To cash-out your affiliate funds you need a minimum of 100$" - I mean that one speaks for itself. SMS Bump you can check my full history of chat with customer service I never asked anything at all regarding the above irrelevant answer. "Okay, let me know if my understanding is correct. You said my abandon cart automation there is the short code for order items count. You have a short code which will be in a number for the quantity of a customer's cart so 1, 2 or even 3 and so on." - If this seems like it is informative then read my question and then the answer again, it is literally the opposite of what I want. Any half fluent English speaker would be able to know that saying "3 item left in your cart" is grammatically incorrect. On top of that the syntax is beyond comprehendible. All in all I am extremely disappointed and frankly frustrated at the poor and indecent customer service from such an established and otherwise great app. To the point where I have to warn others of how counterproductive the customer service is for SMS bump absolutely baffles me and what's truly sad about writing a 1 star review is that you aren't expecting to be helped and have your issues solved otherwise why would you write a bad review? I've always remained polite with the customer support as SMS Bump will be able to verify however I am not holding back in this review and I hope you can understand my frustration. Lastly and in all fairness, I will say that if you don't rely on customer service then the app is still truly amazing and very helpful. Let me make it clear that I have no problem with the app itself, as a matter of fact I appreciate it's relative ease of access and its useful offers however to me customer support is fundamentally as important as an app itself and that is what sadly SMS Bump lacks. If I do get a response to this trying to discredit my complaint let me say in advance that everything in quotations was word for word and were just some of the unhelpful answers I received, nothing on my part was taken out of context and I have made an effort to put my emotions aside and remain fair on the overall app's utility I hope this same integrity will be kept if I even do receive an answer.
