I have used Spreadshirt in the past. Generally very happy with them. I thought I'd try their Shopify app. Ouch. Setting up shipping is ridiculously complex! You have to manually copy and paste hundreds of prices to cover all the rates, options, order totals etc for all the countries - maybe setting up to a thousand options to cover global distribution. And also every time the prices change, redo them all manually. That is beyond belief! "Keep it simple with SPOD" is their tag: I almost feel like this is an April Fool's joke when I see that comment. All the pricing for shipping should be maintained by SPOD as part of the app/Shopify integration, not foisted on users. I also use Bookvault and they do it automatically - I didn't have to do anything except connect the app to Shopify. All the shipping is maintained, calculated and updated by Bookvault, as it should be. It is always up to date. They don't expect users to create hundreds of options (and continually update them). Really, SPOD needs to set the app up properly, because this is unwieldy, over-complex, and shifting a task onto every Shopify-SPOD user rather than just doing it once centrally. I'm surprised this doesn't get mentioned more. Oh, also - when settign up you have to choose EU printing or US. You can't have both, and orders don't ship from the nearest place to the customer - only from the one you pick at the start. So global coverage means high shipping prices for half your customers. Again, they could have done it properly like BookVault (it prints in US for US customers and nearby, UK for UK and Europe - all done automatically). I'll uninstall SPOD and close my account, this has been a waste of time.

Thank you for your review, we greatly appreciate your feedback. For SPOD with Shopify, the shipping set up is done directly through your Shopify settings. With the Shopify settings you can set up free shipping on your store, you can create your own shipping rates, or you can match our 3 shipping rates as well. SPOD offers Standard, Premium and Express shipping options for simplicity. For merchants who choose to match our shipping rates we do provide a shipping calculator and related articles with instructions on setting up your shipping as well. Been using them for a couple years and at this point only use them for one item because their prints wash off after a few washes for most of their items. Love the actual hoodie garment itself. High quality! I just wish their print was more consistent.

Leider kann man die für Kunden zur Verfügung gestellten Designs nicht in Kategorien einteilen. Der Kunde scrollt ewig, bis er ein passendes Motiv hat. Die Ladezeit ist auch viel zu extrem. Ich habe mehrfach versucht den Support über Probleme zu informieren. Außer einer netten Frauenstimme passiert da nicht viel. Einen Kontakt zur Technik gibt es nicht. Die Versandkosten sind einfach nur lächerlich. Kein Kunde zahlt für einen Hoodie, nur weil er einen gewissen Preis übersteigt, 6,50€ Versand. Hier sollte man sich an DHL usw. orientieren. Die Produktauswahl ist auch eher langweilig. Mit der Auswahl kann man sich definitiev nicht von anderen absetzen, eher dahinter verstecken. Löscht man die App, haben alle Produkte keine Anbindung mehr nach Neuinstallation. Katastrophe!!! In der App fehlt auch eine Möglichkeit, die Preis einfach anpassen zu können. Um eine Übereinstimmung zwischen Customizer und dem Produkt zu erhalten, muss man ständig den Preis mit anpassen. Es könnte so einfach sein... Es gibt noch viele Dinge, die einfach viel besser sein könnten.

The SPOD Print on Demand app - has been great since day 1. Setup was easy and integration was a breeze. Super intuitive honestly the support team has been nothing short of amazing to work with when we had questions/concerns. 10/10 highly recommend!

This platform is just pathetic, their customer support apparently says its above their paygrade to comment on WHY THEIR BASE PRICE IS TOO HIGH! In general people would buy a sweatshirt for $30-$40, just imagine this, their base price for a shit sweatshirt which is 50% cotton and 50% polyester is $54!!! when i tried to get their customer support to provide any assistance, instead of at least giving me a notion of some solution to this problem, KAYLA CLOSED the chat and did not even let me get on the chat again! SPOD IS A PATHETIC EXPERIENCE, You all out there should consider getting some local manufacturer on board rather than using these shit platforms where you only make money for these platforms and not for your own business TO HELL WITH KAYLA AND TO HELL WITH SPOD!

For example, our sweaters range from $18 to $30 base price, however we do also offer sweater sets and lounge wear sets for $55, it all depends on the brand chosen. Called 20 times, wished to get a call back, wrote several emails. Just all that to get my sample order done. Its been a week now and its still " waiting for production". They say "my account needs to be verified" although my email is verified, my credit card informations + my address is verified, even the products are listed in my shop!!!! What else do you guys need? Ive customers waiting, its almost Christmas time and the black week is coming. Do you guys really wish to destroy businesses with your very very bad communication? Everyone who reads this and have the same problem, i wish you the very best and please dont spend your time and money here on SPOD.

Our customer support line (+1-724-832-6290) is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm EST, and we do our best to reply to emails within 24 hours. Hugely disappointing! Awful print times, '48 hours?' as advertised, hah! More like 48 days if you're lucky. Terrible customer service. Just a shocking app, don't waste your time folks.

Thank you for your feedback. For security purposes all accounts must be verified before orders can be produced. Once your account has been verified orders would move into production and continue as normal within the 24-48 hour production time.

Sad to say am very disappointed in their lack of communication & production. Three orders placed, for 3 weeks says awaiting production & sent multiple emails with no response and called with very rude worker comments. I have not received the orders for my customers & they still have not refunded me for these orders either. They claim to be in Las Vegas with the printing capability to provide custom printed products when clearly, they don't have the means to keep up with demand. These orders I had to refund the orders personally through my personal back up funds. If they don't refund these orders filing complaints with the Police and BBB as this is fraud and a felony charge as the orders were that much. UP date: I called customer service again today, they claim orders they have but didn't charge me. This is a lie, have receipts downloaded, bank statement where they charged my debit card for the 3 orders. They steal your money! I have contacted BBB and the Police department in Nevada and sent all my proof of them stealing my money. The sad part is, they are sample orders and claim more verification documents is needed to protect themselves from fraud. What about your customers small business owners, who put their trust in your service maybe we should ask for verification from each employee and your overall business to protect us from thieves that you are. Money is too hard to come by for everyone! I hope Shopify and all other platforms ban your services so no one else falls victim to your stealing and lies. You refund my money, then maybe I change my review but will never use your service again. Printify is a lot better and honest people, avoid SPOD.

Thank you for your feedback. For security purposes all accounts must be verified before orders can be produced. Additionally, as SPOD does not facilitate the payment from your customers, we are unable to refund customers on your behalf. When a customer places an order through your integration, then the customer is submitting their payment to you through your integration directly. You would receive your payment for the order from the integration you are using. Once the order is submitted to us, then we would collect payment from you for the order with the entered Payment Details in your SPOD app. However we would not produce orders until your account has completed verification. Orders that are unable to be produced would not be charged to your account.

Such an easy app to integrate with great pricing and options, but AWFUL print quality. I had to refund and refill more than 50% of the orders I sent to customers. Things were constantly misprinted, had holes, etc. I ordered samples for each product I put on my site and after I washed them a handful of times they completely faded or begin to peel. I had to stop working with them all together.

For Digital Direct Print method products get pretreated before printing to help the ink stick to the product material, it could be possible that the pretreatment was not effective on some products. What a bummer - I loved the app; it's super easy to use and integrate for my shop. BUT their printing quality on EVERY order was awful. They were quick to reply to my emails and refund my money, but that wasn't what I was looking for. If I'm going to use a company for printing, I expect good quality printing, not an immediate refund for constant mistakes. Pretty disapointed.

I'm really sorry that the print results do not match the screen view of your design. With the Digital Direct printing method, the printing colors are sprayed directly onto the article of clothing, which causes the design to look somewhat washed-out. For that reason, intense colors are unfortunately not to be expected. Digital Direct is therefore optimal when going for a "vintage look". If you prefer brighter colors, we can recommend Flex printing for a more vivid print that stands out.

I 1000% recommend it. The interface is fantastic. The products and shipping are at a fair price and the integration is seamless. I went through about 20 POD apps and nothing was on par with this one. -A coupon for samples would be nice tho ;)_

I have to say, I love SPOD! It's incredibly easy to use. Especially the step-by-step guide is very helpful. What I really like is the huge variety of merch and how simple it is to upload your own designs. I hope in future there will be a bigger range of sustainable clothing as well as some more in vouge pieces.

UPDATE: Still waiting on an order that was placed Jan 18 and has been "in production" since Jan 25. Only getting copy and paste replies from customer service. Even the review reply below is clearly a cut/paste job. Me thinks the company is cutting costs so the employees have also given up and just don't care anymore. Someone reached out to me for a phone call but when I provided times they weren't available for them. I'm not going to chance someone down to give them my business. I just want this one order to be cleared so I can never do business with them again. Tried to cancel the order and they refuse. I already refunded my customer and put my etsy and ebay shops on suspend while I decide what to do. This was a fun side hustle but it's not worth the bull. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I used to love SPOD. Recently they've been getting slower and the quality is getting worse. Customers have been telling me how the designs are peeling off after a couple of washes (and not intricate small designs but large color blocked designs). Customer service is slow and never takes responsibility for anything. Always an excuse. They are starting to cost me money so I'm just waiting for them to fulfill the last couple of orders (one has been in production for 4 days) and I think I'm done with them.
