Starshipit shipping automation
Starshipit has received mixed reviews from users. Positive aspects include the app's ability to integrate with Shopify and utilize Direct Freight, as well as the helpful AI feature that understands queries well. Users also appreciate the excellent customer service provided by the team, with specific mentions of onboarding specialists like Millie and Adam. However, negative aspects highlighted in the reviews include issues with pricing changes, lack of support for multiple locations, difficulties in setting up the app, and problems with syncing orders. Some users have also expressed frustration with the app's support team and the billing process.
We ship over 1000 orders a month through Starshipit, these are the issues that have cost us the most time. There is no way to find an order by scanning a product barcode. We have to manually type in the product SKU to pull up every order, which wastes a huge about of my staffs time and results in errors. We have multiple locations in Shopify, and changing the shipping location on an order is a real problem. When you change or split an order, it can take 10 or more minutes to drop off the old location. In that window it shows in both, and we have ended up shipping several orders twice, once from each location. It does not import the full product details either. Size, colour and so on do not come through, so you are left guessing from the SKU alone. On top of that, it will not stay logged in on mobile or iPad. When we print a packing slip from inside Shopify, it logs us out on every single order. Also, no phone support. Our ability to ship out orders is critical so we need to be able to pick up the phone and get issues resolved immediately. There have been a few issues that have taken hours to sort out which brings our warehouse to a standstill. For a tool this central to our dispatch process, these are basic things that should just work. GoSweetSpot is much better software, and it's free so will be going back to that.

Couldnt get the app set up, not much support to help and after a month we were charged for the professional plan when we I had selected the starter plan. we will be removing this clunky service.

Uninstalled app in trial, never used it and was still charged for it. Tried to contact their support and the ticket continuously fails to send.

Starshipit overall is a pretty great app, enabling us to utilise Direct Freight with our Shopify site is a huge win. Also the Starshipit AI is one of the best AI's we've experienced, it really understands the majority of queries and prompts and is a great help when you need it. It's certainly a better interface and integration than all other logistics apps we've utilised. With that being said, there is still items that should be improved. 1 is the product catalogue, there has been MANY times I've found odd data and formatting in a spreadsheet export. Not a huge gripe, but something they should improve upon ASAP in all areas.

Whilst the app works well, when we first got onto this app pricing was very reasonable and since then (2 years approx) prices have gone up twice and not exactly little jumps. Be wary if you chose this app you will get charged more in the near future.
