Excellent app, brilliant for a small bricks and mortar shop with a lot of different suppliers. Just make sure you understand the function of the 'cycle count' tick box - read the instructions thoroughly before you start, after that it's very easy to use. I plug a barcode scanner in keyboard mode into my laptop for some items and count manually for others.

good for small stock counts, anything over 100 and there will be some issues.

I like the app but it would be a really good idea if Shopify hardware like the POS GO could be used to scan products to carry out a stocktake

Super simple to use, reporting is really good and it's so handy that multiple devices can join the stocktake.

Looking forward to using this app. Can you explain specifically why this app needed access to my customer data?

Thank you for your review. We would like to assure you that we do not retrieve or store any of your store’s customer details. As a stock taking app, we request Shopify for permission to 1. read one year of your store’s open orders and fulfillments 2. fetch product information 3. read and modify inventory counts Shopify provides permission for all order information (along with customer details) which we do not read and do not use in our app. There is no other way for us to request Shopify for a list of unfulfilled / unshipped products for your orders. Please feel free to email us should you have any other questions or concerns. [email protected]

This is the app I have been searching for for physical inventory. Stock Take is easy to use and works seamlessly with Shopify. I can do my physical inventory in sections, or choose to do the entire inventory. I chose to filter by vendor for my first time, just in case there were any glitches. There were none and it was easy to figure out. it was great being able to scan the barcodes with my phone and made doing the tedious chore of inventory a pleasure.

I recently trialled Stock Take with a very large inventory count, and it exceeded my expectations. The app is straightforward to use, particularly when dealing with unfulfilled and packed orders. While using multiple devices simultaneously was a bit daunting at first, I quickly got the hang of it. The ability to scan inventory barcodes directly from my device without needing a separate app is a huge time-saver. Plus, the detailed inventory reports in CSV format are incredibly useful for reviewing stock values and adjustments. What really sets Stock Take apart is the outstanding customer service provided by Pramod and his team. They are fast, attentive, and always ready to assist with any queries. Overall, Stock Take is an excellent investment for anyone needing an efficient, reliable, and user-friendly stock-taking app. They have another excellent app BR Pick List Pro, which I already use and love. Highly recommend pairing Stock Take app with with BR Pick List Pro if you pick orders and want accurate inventory counts.

App works fine and without any issues. We are using it for a while now, in fact we do not use it often, but when we do, it is a great help and saves time. Thanks!

Great app; for the number of warehouses and staff that we currently have this app has been a great addition to our Shopify store. We have been very happy with its performance, very happy.

One of the best apps on shopify app store for stock take. The developers are very talented and easy to work with. They understand our requirements and are really helpful with suggestions and explanations when we need them. Really happy with the software and massive help to organise our stocks in accuracy. Keep it up. Many thanks.

This app looks like it has a ton of potential and I was excited to use it. There is a feature called cycle count. It is a seemingly innocuous, easily overlooked little box especially for a new user that is trying to get their heads around a new app. ---------------- [ ]Cycle count Check this option to update stock counts only for edited / scanned products. Uncheck this option to set all unedited / unscanned products to zero stock when updating inventory. --------------------------- The default is unchecked - WHY? I opened a stock take, looked around, cancelled it and low and behold 12000 inventory items have been messed up. 2 weeks of online purchases not even an option for my customers. I have lost thousands of dollars. Why is such a majorly impactful box to check not more evident? A staff person could so easily leave it set to the default position. Their support is email only which is ridiculous when you have an urgent need with your store. They were at least prompt to reply but not very helpful at all with resolving the app. As far as the functionality of the app - it is ok. Stocky which is free and owned by shopify now is much much better.

Thank you for trying our app and leaving us a review. Based on your feedback, we will ensure the app displays a more prominent warning if a user tries to set most of their inventory to zero. I trust that the undo CSV file we provided was able to restore your inventory back to it's original state. I deeply regret any inconvenience caused to you by our app.

Gracias, Stock Take Support [email protected]

Well... I guess if you have a small inventory it performs well. For us, we have a inventory of over 50k SKU's. And due to the size of it, stock take's systems failed, and didn't send us the final stocktake report, resulting in us having to do EVERYTHING again manually to get the propper report... Basically using this app cost us three days of extra labor. So if you have a big database of products, beware...

Hi, Thank you for installing our stock taking app and leaving a review. Your stock was updated successfully, but our email server (Gmail) was unable to attach the report CSV file for your 56,000 products to an email. I deeply regret that our app failed to send you your stocktake report and that we were unable to recover another copy from our server (14 days had elapsed and our backup copy was no longer available). As a workaround for this issue we now allow downloads of old stocktake CSV files directly fom the "History" section of the start page. Look for an "Export CSV report" link next to each successful stocktake. The export option will be available for 30 days. I hope you will give our app another chance. Thanks, Stock Take Support

We are pleased with the ease of this app, though we are looking for a quicker way to scan barcodes in our physical point of sale if you have anything in mind :) (edit) Thanks for the proposal of the other app, we saw it! But we are looking for a way to connect any given USB or cordless barcode scanner to our pc so it can automatically decrease, set, or increase inventory.

There's an app called Easy Scan that does what you're asking for (scanning and incrementing or decrementing stock). It's a bit pricey at $24 and it's by another Shopify partner. -------- Thank you for your review. We are working on a Point of Sale app using the same barcode scanning code we use with our stocktaking app. The app is currently free for a limited time and is called "Sales Terminal POS". https://apps.shopify.com/sales-terminal We plan on charging $10 per Shopify location once we have our return/exchange/store-credit features ready. Please try our new app and feel free to send us your feedback or feature requests. Thanks!

I was really hoping this app would be the answer. I love how it compared current stock take and showed in unmatched when it didn't match. However, it never completely worked and updated my stock in Shopify, which makes it completely useless. It would glitch out, every month one of our stores would completely delete halfway through the count.

Hi, Thank you for subscribing to our app and providing feedback. We had a bug with our app that marked some stocktakes as cancelled if there were network problems during your inventory count. We have fixed this bug now. Please let us know if you face any other issues during your stocktake. We would love to work with you until you are completely satisfied. Thanks, Stock Take Support

I found it great once it worked correctly, but it also brought in Draft and archived products which were not relevant to the stock take. Otherwise it was really great to be able to get a real time listing of stocktake

Dear Charlie & Chums, Thank you for subscribing to our app and providing your valuable feedback. Effective January 11th, 2021, we do not display products that are in "Draft" or "Archived" status. Only "Active" Shopify products are fetched and displayed during a stocktake. Please email us if there are specific draft/archived products visible in a stocktake and we will investigate. Thank you.

It says in the app that you can start stock-taking again after closing the app. But you will have to start over again. Your scan results are lost. So when your battery runs out.. or the app crashes, or for whatever reason you refresh the page... everything is gone. What a disaster.

Update: June 4th, 2021 Hi, This issue has been fixed now. We added a "Save" button, so you can backup your work to our server and exit the app. If your iPad/iPhone powers down or reboots, your saved stocktakes are displayed, and you may continue from where you last saved. Thank you. ---------------------------- Original message: Thanks for installing our stock taking app on Shopify and providing your feedback. Due to a recent update to the Shopify admin and POS apps on iOS, local storage (where your stock data is stored) on your iPad/iPhone gets cleared if the app is forced to close or the iPad powers down. Note that if you exit the Shopify app or if the iPad sleeps you should still have all your stock take data available. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to recover the stock data that was lost after the iPad shutdown. We regret any inconvenience this has caused you. This problem occurs on Apple mobile devices, Stock Taking in your Safari/Chrome browser or on Android devices does not have the same issue. We are working on fixing this, we will keep a local copy and a backup on our server to avoid this issue. Please ensure your iPad is fully charged before your next stocktake. We will put a warning on the top of our app for iPad and iPhone users so merchants are aware of this problem.
