Be careful with this app. My team and I closed our retail store for several days to do a restock. Everything was going well until halfway through I hit the "refetch inventory" button. It corrupted all the data and now what I have on my shopify doesnt match what appears and pops up on BR Stocktake. Also, I have received no support from the team and I am paying a $15/month plan.

Thank you for your review. We typically respond within 8 hours to user emails when received outside business hours. This issue has now been resolved. The bug was triggered when multiple devices on one stocktake performed inventory refetches at the same time. We have implemented the following updates to prevent this: 1.  Only one device can perform a refetch at any time. Other devices will now display a message asking the user to wait until the refetch process is completed. 2.  You do not need to perform a refetch on every device. All other devices will automatically sync with the updated data the next time you click save. I deeply regret the problems this caused during your stocktake. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.

This app looks like it has a ton of potential and I was excited to use it. There is a feature called cycle count. It is a seemingly innocuous, easily overlooked little box especially for a new user that is trying to get their heads around a new app. ---------------- [ ]Cycle count Check this option to update stock counts only for edited / scanned products. Uncheck this option to set all unedited / unscanned products to zero stock when updating inventory. --------------------------- The default is unchecked - WHY? I opened a stock take, looked around, cancelled it and low and behold 12000 inventory items have been messed up. 2 weeks of online purchases not even an option for my customers. I have lost thousands of dollars. Why is such a majorly impactful box to check not more evident? A staff person could so easily leave it set to the default position. Their support is email only which is ridiculous when you have an urgent need with your store. They were at least prompt to reply but not very helpful at all with resolving the app. As far as the functionality of the app - it is ok. Stocky which is free and owned by shopify now is much much better.

Thank you for trying our app and leaving us a review. Based on your feedback, we will ensure the app displays a more prominent warning if a user tries to set most of their inventory to zero. I trust that the undo CSV file we provided was able to restore your inventory back to it's original state. I deeply regret any inconvenience caused to you by our app.

It says in the app that you can start stock-taking again after closing the app. But you will have to start over again. Your scan results are lost. So when your battery runs out.. or the app crashes, or for whatever reason you refresh the page... everything is gone. What a disaster.

Update: June 4th, 2021 Hi, This issue has been fixed now. We added a "Save" button, so you can backup your work to our server and exit the app. If your iPad/iPhone powers down or reboots, your saved stocktakes are displayed, and you may continue from where you last saved. Thank you. ---------------------------- Original message: Thanks for installing our stock taking app on Shopify and providing your feedback. Due to a recent update to the Shopify admin and POS apps on iOS, local storage (where your stock data is stored) on your iPad/iPhone gets cleared if the app is forced to close or the iPad powers down. Note that if you exit the Shopify app or if the iPad sleeps you should still have all your stock take data available. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to recover the stock data that was lost after the iPad shutdown. We regret any inconvenience this has caused you. This problem occurs on Apple mobile devices, Stock Taking in your Safari/Chrome browser or on Android devices does not have the same issue. We are working on fixing this, we will keep a local copy and a backup on our server to avoid this issue. Please ensure your iPad is fully charged before your next stocktake. We will put a warning on the top of our app for iPad and iPhone users so merchants are aware of this problem.
