TaxJar makes paying sales tax extremely easy and hassle free. The customer service is why I'm taking the time to leave a review. A few months back our State Department of Revenue made an error that resulted in an incorrect payment. I notified TaxJar and they took the time to contact them and solve the problem. I really appreciate TaxJar going above and beyond to help a small business function. I would recommend them to anybody with an ecommerce business!

It sure takes a load off of calculating taxes for California. It's a bit pricey for having just one nexus maybe, but a lifesaver in general. Thanks from all of us at https://revivserums.com -- none of us like to do accounting work!

TaxJar has always been our sales tax solution program. At first, we were just using the program to calculate the tax for us, that worked great till the business started to grow to the point were filing them manually was taking an eternity, or so it felt. So, when they came up with the auto file feature, we measured how much time this was saving us and how much it costs ... it has been the best cost-for-value transaction we have ever made. Specially with states like California where you have state, county, city and specific programs that you have to account for on every transaction. Wow, if you aren't using this program ... YOU SHOULD!

I don't know how I would be able to file sales tax forms in all the states I need to without an app like taxjar. I have been using it for two years now....great customer service too.

Shopify collects CA taxes at a modified origin rate. However, TaxJar is only able to autofile CA sales tax as Destination sourcing which completely defeats the whole purpose of doing auto-file with TaxJar if the numbers Shopify collected is going to be totally off from what TaxJar is going to pay. Recently TaxJar paid out over $500 extra that I didnt even collect in Shopify. TaxJar needs to figure out how to setup destination sourcing for their autofile.

I file sales tax quarterly. I tried this app to compare its results to my manually-generated Q2 report -- but TaxJar's trial period is limited to 60 days. TaxJar's support staff expects me to manually generate a phony 60-day sales tax return so I can compare my results to their app. That's not going to happen. Why won't they allow a 90-day trial import? No reason I can see. Also, the app's district sales tax calculations were entirely incorrect. That much I could tell at a glance. It's clear from the 5-star reviews that this app works for some people, but my experience with the app and with TaxJar's rigid, offhand, and unhelpful support staff makes it obvious that it won't work for me.

This app is a LIFE SAVER. Must have for any store with high volume sales. Saves so much valuable time and headaches when it comes to filing sales tax.

TaxJar is working on an integration with NetSuite; which we hope is up soon. They work great for Shopify compared to all the problems we had with Avalara and if you management taxes in multiple states they make the filing a breeze to auto-file.

This probably the single most useful app in the App Store. Who wants to deal with sales taxes by state, by county? Remembering to keep a journal of what was taken in and where you owe taxes to? Tax Jar takes the guess work out of a operationally complex issue and puts it on auto pilot. Seriously, after a straight forward set up process, your sales tax management is being handled efficiently. Couldn't do the work without TaxJar!

Takes away a huge stress point for a small business. Filing for sales tax in every required state isn't exactly a strength for a solo-preneur.

This software is a NO BRAINER. GET IT. I used to work with Avatax... what a PAIN. TaxJar has integrated with my shopify site, amazon, eBay, and Etsy store. It couldn't be easier and their support team is awesome! Stop looking and GET TAXJAR! You won't be sorry. My CPA loves it and so do I. set it up once and it will pay your quarterly taxes due too. A+

TaxJar is EXACTLY what I was looking for and I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone eCommerce business I know. We are a small but growing business that ships nearly 1000 orders a month. Keeping up with the ever changing tax rates and filing the monthly tax payments was an administrative nightmare that I dreaded every month. Now that we use TaxJar, I never even think about taxes!
