18/11/25 I am following up because we still have not received any response, and the issue remains unresolved. At the moment we are still unable to access the Trunk Inventory app due to the Cloudflare error, and our Etsy channel remains disconnected. This is creating a serious delay in our daily operations, as we cannot synchronize inventory or fulfill orders properly. We deeply appreciate your work and understand you may be busy, but we kindly ask for your urgent assistance. Please let us know when someone can take a look at our case. Thank you for your care and support. We are patiently waiting for your reply.
Hi there, please look for our response as we have already sent our reply. We're really sorry about the Cloudflare error. There was a global outage on Cloudflare's end that was unfortunately out of our control which didn't affect syncing, only website access. Everything is now back up and running now however and your Etsy channel is syncing again properly. Your Etsy sales channel being disconnected is a separate issue that we'll need to investigate. Thanks for your understanding.

We really wanted Trunk to be the answer for syncing inventory between our Shopify stores, but unfortunately, it ended up creating more problems than it solved. At first, it seemed like a solid tool, but over time it became a constant headache. The monthly subscription price kept creeping up, which might have been manageable if the software actually worked as expected — but it didn’t. The biggest issue we faced was inventory accuracy. With thousands of SKUs, Trunk repeatedly made mistakes when updating stock levels between stores. We dealt with frequent oversells and found in-stock items marked as unavailable. These errors weren’t just annoying — they hurt our bottom line and disrupted our operations. Fixing these issues required a lot of manual intervention, which completely defeats the purpose of using an automation tool in the first place. It’s been time-consuming, costly, and damaging to customer confidence. After giving it plenty of time and chances to improve, we’ve decided to walk away. If you’re managing a large catalog or multiple stores, be careful — this app might end up doing more harm than good.

We take issues like this very seriously and would have investigated why you're seeing issues but there doesn't seem to be a support ticket created regarding this. When I first installed this app, it seemed to work great and it would be perfect for what we needed. Is it too good to be true? Then the problems came. I updated inventory on a product and then it would revert to restocked. I thought maybe I did something wrong so I fixed it. I then added stock for a different product and a customer asked me if it had sold out. It had not (had they not asked I would not have known this was happening!). So I look and all the items that I had updated with new inventory were not synced up. The problems first came to my attention on a Wednesday when I thought I had did something wrong. Who knows how long it actually started before that. I contacted Trunk Thursday and again Friday. They got back to me Friday evening saying that there was something wrong on Etsy's end. Except how could that be because Shopify was also coming in incorrect. I had provided screenshots. Either way, there seems to be no urgency. The entire weekend we're losing sales because items are showing out of stock and then we are receiving orders for items that are out of stock and I have to cancel orders. In all, we have 5 days (that I know of) where this app is not working properly. What a nightmare. I LOVE the idea of the app if it worked the way it was suppose to. I am disappointed that an issue that starts on a Wednesday is not even resolved by Sunday (and is still unresolved as I write this). For this reason, I can not confidently recommend this app.
We're really sorry about the issues you were having – we should've also done better on the communication front. We pushed a few fixes already that's addressed some of the problems you were seeing and so far it seems like things should now be back in working order. After using it for 5 years it crashed completly. Put things in stock that were out of stock for months and vice versa. Created massive disruption, had to stock count over 30k pieces. Support blames etsy. Closed etsy connection and chaos still ongoing. Such a shame, moving to a more reliable app before I lose my amazon prime over so much overselling.

After Etsy tightened request limits significantly, our systems were impacted in ways that made the issue cascade with Faire passing along outdated timestamps. Updating my original review: the stock syncing has completely stopped functioning. We use Truck to sync our Shopify inventory with Etsy and it has gone haywire with no solution soon from Trunk. It's been several days since the issue was reported and they have yet to provide an update on when there will be a solution to this problem.
Sorry that you're having issues, unfortunately it looks like it's an issue on Etsy's end with those specific listings. We've reached out to them to figure out a solution and hope to get a resolution soon, thanks for your patience.
