Every time I’ve had an issue they’ve been helpful, found a solution, and exceeded my expectations. With my “site host” crashing during Cyber Monday it caused a new product to not be recognized in the cart with the variants but they FIXED EVERYTHING for me.

Where do I start? This App was installed by a developer that worked on my site 4 years ago. It was NEVER activated. They've been charging us $14.99 a month since December 2021 for a total of $704.53. I emailed them and they said that "they cannot tell if their product has been used or not". They can't tell me it their product has been activated or not? I call bullshit. Then they said I had to uninstall the product so the charges stopped. So....I did that and just a few days later I was charged again.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I truly understand how frustrating unexpected charges can feel, and I’m sorry this situation caused you stress. I’d like to clarify a few important points for transparency - both for you and for other merchants reading this. 1. Apps cannot install or charge without explicit approval from the store owner Shopify requires two mandatory confirmations from the store owner (or staff with extended permissions) before any app subscription begins: - approval of the app’s permission scopes - approval of the recurring charge - Immediately after that, Shopify emails the store owner a confirmation of the approved subscription. 2. Internal logs show the app was installed and actively configured I personally reviewed the historical activity: - The app was installed on November 16, 2021 - A set of product options was created the same day - Those options were edited again on November 18, 2021 This indicates the app was not only installed intentionally but also tested and configured during that time. 3. About the recent charge All billing is processed by Shopify, not by app developers. Uninstalling an app stops future charges, but depending on where it falls in Shopify’s billing cycle, a charge may still appear shortly after removal. This is standard for all Shopify apps. That said, even though everything was billed correctly according to Shopify’s system, we still issued a refund for the latest charge, plus three additional months as a goodwill gesture. I also sent you a detailed email earlier today with a full breakdown of everything above, including screenshots and timestamps, so you have all the information directly. I genuinely hope this clears things up. I understand this situation was unpleasant, and despite everything working as intended on Shopify’s side, we still wanted to help by issuing multiple refunds. DO NOT USE THIS APP Critical bugs that cost me thousands in lost sales: Major Issues: "Default Title #MWS Options XX" bug at checkout Customers see confusing variant names like "Default Title #MWS Options 33" instead of their actual selections. This looks unprofessional and causes massive cart abandonment. Creates duplicate products with every order The app automatically generates duplicate products in your catalog that you have to manually delete daily. This clutters your store and creates inventory chaos. Even when you switch duplication off in the settings, it will stll duplicate in Shopify products when a customer adds this product into the cart. Support refuses to fix known bugs When I reported these issues, support acknowledged they exist but refused to fix them. 92% checkout abandonment rate My checkout conversion dropped to 6% because customers don't trust the confusing "Default Title" names at checkout. Conditional logic doesn't work properly The app claims to support conditional logic, but it's extremely limited and buggy. Poor value for money Paying €14.99/month for an app that actively hurts your conversion rate is unacceptable. My experience: I lost a lot off money each month in sales due to APO's bugs. After switching to another app, my checkout immediately looked professional again, no more duplicate products, and no more "Default Title" confusion. Final verdict: Save yourself the headache and money. Don't install this app. The developers know about these critical bugs but won't fix them. There are much better alternatives available. Would I recommend this app? Absolutely not!!!

What happened is entirely on us. The issues you faced come from our older mode, which behaved that way only because, at the time, Shopify didn’t provide any native way for apps to add paid product options to checkout. We should have switched your store to the new mode during your support conversation, and I apologize that this didn’t happen. That was our mistake. We’ve released a newer option - CTA Mode (powered by Shopify native Cart Transform API), which works completely differently and avoids all the problems you described. More benefits of CTA mode: - Full support for discounts, markets, and Shopify promotions - Faster storefront performance and much cleaner order data - Better compatibility with 3rd-party apps We truly appreciate you sharing your experience, even though it’s tough to read - it helps us improve.

Angie did an amazing job of making sure the things I couldn't do on this app with behind the scene coding was done to her standard. I'm totally impressed with the customer service she provided without hesitation and with out extra cost. Just a quick chat w her and she took over from there and fixed the small issue I had in minutes and then followed up to make sure it was right. I tried another app prior to this that was a competitor because Chat GPt recommended it but had to delete the app and tried APO Product Options. They were super quick to lend a hand and I had my page up and functional in no time.

Fantastic app, we've been using it since 2020. The integration with Shopify themes is smooth. Any nuances between shopfront aesthetics, user interface, and app setup are all handled quickly and seamlessly by the team at APO. Customer service is second to none; they've always had the answers to my queries (and always replied quickly). Highly recommend.
