I have used this app for my store for about 2 months now. $425 spend, and $12,500 in return. GREAT ROI right? Well, if this was accurate, that would be the case. However, I know from crunching the numbers that this is not correct. I thought maybe this was measuring Click Through AND View Through Conversions (the app never specifies anywhere on the site which attribution model it uses, which can be misleading). I decided to message the founder of the app. He messaged me and said RetargetApp only measures Click Through Conversions. Now this is where I KNOW this is off. I can see the UTM campaign on my Shopify store, and this means that 1% of my traffic is bringing almost 20% of my revenue. (So basically I was either lied to, or the maker of the app himself is also misled, which I struggle to believe) The oversimplification of the app causes me some distress. As a numbers guy, there is no way to measure this in the slightest, and test different variations or cross examine different retarget platforms. Also, since the revenue/profit it gives you is not accurate, the numbers yield relatively useless. If the owner knows that the numbers are not 100% accurate (which based off other reviews, he apparently does), this needs to be stated clearly in the app, or maybe taken off the store until it is fixed. TL;DR :: Developer is not up front about the accuracy of the "revenue" metric within the app. Interface is over simplified. No way to really measure anything useful. Good if you are new to retargeting, but pay no attention to the numbers except the "spend" metric, because it means very little,

We've found this app really useful and simple to use. I would suggest using a discount code or similar so that you can truly track your real conversion rate as the conversion stats on the app (supplied by Facebook) don't show real conversions for us

The app as a retarget app is incredible. They are the most economical app too as far as I know. I have reduced the rating to 4 basically because they have no reporting options or analytics at all. And worst of all their revenue calculation that is happening from the app is woefully wrong. It says my spend of 370 dollars has given a revenue of 3000 dollars which makes no sense as I started my store just a few months ago and have not made that much sales from my store from all sources included. Quite silly it looks. I have mentioned this a few times but there has been no update at all in the last few months. Hope they sort this out soon and also include some analytics or reports.

NEW REVIEW: The pricing of this app has changed for the worse. Most Shopify stores are small businesses that cannot afford $100+ / Month for an app that just manages ads. I'll take my ad budget elsewhere. OLD REVIEW: Best Retargeting App in the app store. Already recovered a few sales

It seems to work well. I see the ads myself occasionally on FB and they look great and are decently accurate as to what products I have been looking at. Very easy to set up. BUT, the ease of use makes the app TOO simplistic. There are barely any reports to look at for ad performance. The only thing you can see is total spent, revenue, and profit. You cannot see CTR, you cannot see any other FB ad metric. You also cannot set the amount of time you would like these ads to show for someone (the amount of time they are in your custom audience) without contacting support. The biggest issue that I have run into is that the revenue statistic is COMPLETELY OFF. Currently, my spend is $40 and my revenue is $26k. This is wrong. This total revenue might be from other sales of ours through other sources (like google, and Point of Sale in store), because it is certainly NOT from the retargeting ads. I know that for sure. Customer service is ok. Takes them a while to get back to you sometimes. I talked to them about this and they said that sometimes the numbers glitch out or something to that effect. I like the look of the ads and the ease of use, but the numbers can be flat out WRONG, and there is minimal reporting and ad customization available. I hope to see improvements in the future.

This app requires you to change how you currently bill for advertising with Facebook. Facebook currently offers a billing threshold and services are billed after being rendered. Threshold is based on past successful billing thresholds. This app requires you to pay in advance for the same Facebook services + a fee. I don't mind the fee but completely changing how a larger company interacts with billing for Facebook is not acceptable. At the least this app should offer daily billing. App looks promising but this is a deal breaker.

We're having a positive experience with RetargetApp so far. Our CPA is a bit lower than other channels and the support from the top down has been excellent. I'll report back after we've run RetargetApp for a longer period than our initial test.

By far the BEST app I've added to my Shopify store! Super easy to setup and I started seeing results within 24 hours. I think this is a must-have tool for anyone running a store on Shopify. Incredible ROI and excellent customer service! I could not be any happier and highly recommend.
