App continuously redirected links that weren't broken. No warning, no reason, just redirecting links without permission or notification. This effected product visibility and SEO tremendously. Any SEO changes that were applied to metadata or descriptions were never reflected to search engines. Quite literally the worst SEO tool I've ever used. Not sure how it has so many positive reviews.

Our developers have confirmed that Avada only redirects URLs returning a 404 response; it cannot redirect active links. However, in rare cases, similar behavior can occur due to external factors such as third-party apps or cached routing rules, even after our app code is removed, which means it may not necessarily be related to Avada. Regarding SEO metadata, please note that even when meta tags are correctly implemented, Google often rewrites snippets based on search intent, so differences between your configured meta descriptions and what appears on Google are quite normal. When canceling or downgrading from a paid plan, all work already saved or synced to your Shopify store, including optimized images (with file size and alt text), titles/descriptions, and meta tags edited via SEO Audit, as well as 301 redirects created, will remain intact and will not be reverted. Only settings that exist exclusively within the app are reverted after cancellation. This happens because those paid features depend on the app’s running code to work. Once the subscription ends, the related code becomes inactive. This approach ensures your store isn’t left dependent on any feature you no longer use; it’s designed to be transparent, secure, and fully in your control. Please rest assured that we never create any obstacles for customers who wish to cancel their subscription. We truly value your feedback and hope this helps clear things up. My support experience with “Nim” was frustrating. Even after several requests for quicker replies, responses arrived after long gaps. I shared my checklist and screenshots and asked what else I should do, but I didn’t receive actionable, step-by-step guidance. On a paid plan, waiting this long without results isn’t acceptable. I’ve wasted time; I’m canceling my subscription and uninstalling the app. I hope response times and the quality of guidance improve.

Regarding Speed Optimization You were using the Basic mode, which has minimal impact on performance. The Pro Plan offers more powerful tools, such as Turbo Mode, which applies deeper optimization techniques to your theme. If you're concerned about theme impact, the Pro Plan also allows you to request a manual speed-up performed by our technical team. We ensure all optimizations are done on a duplicate theme and do not affect your store’s functionality. 2. Regarding On-Page SEO Upon checking, I saw that Google Structured Data (GSD) hasn’t been configured yet. This feature can enhance your store’s visibility on SERPs and build more trust with customers through better indexing and display in search results. However, the setup was never fully completed — it was paused midway because it was perceived as too time-consuming. Without proper setup and consistency, it’s simply not possible to expect meaningful SEO results, no matter which tool is used. Additionally, I personally reached out to you, pointed out critical issues on your store such as duplicate h1 tags, missing meta tags, and poor page speed performance, and offered to work with you to improve them. Installs a theme without asking you, seemed to have broken some things, overwritten readmes within theme files, etc, we had to revert to using a previous version of a theme Be careful using this app on a customized Shopify site with code edits etc. You'll probably be okay with a stock theme/ new store. EDIT: As noted by Avada below, the “addition of a lightweight include snippet” appears to use logic that searches for files like theme.liquid or index.liquid. In our case, we had a file named theme.liquid.readme containing critical documentation for custom code changes. Unfortunately, this file was overwritten by Avada, which led us to uninstall the app and share our experience in a review to help inform other users with custom code setups.

Regarding the theme installation Our app does not install any new theme from the Shopify Theme Store. The theme named “Avada Assets – DO NOT REMOVE” is automatically created solely to store your original images, so you can revert to them at any time after using the image optimization feature. This theme is never published or activated on your store. It has no impact on your storefront or live theme, and it can be safely left in your theme list without concern. Regarding code changes According to our internal logs, your store only installed the app and performed an SEO checklist rescan — no other features were used. Additionally, since your account was on the Free plan, the majority of advanced features that could make impactful changes to your theme were not accessible at all. Our development team also confirmed that the app does not alter custom code or README files. The only action taken upon install is the addition of a lightweight include snippet, which does not interfere with your theme’s structure or custom logic. We genuinely believe this may have been a misunderstanding or an unrelated issue that happened to coincide with the app installation. I have no idea how this app has so many positive reviews, on this basis I installed it. However, I do not recommend it. Since installing it on Thursday, my website has crashed and I have lost many of my page 1 rankings on Google. It's now Sunday and I have uninstalled it! I can only hope my website recovers soon!

The app stopped working for me so I found another option. Following the uninstall, there is code left behind. I contacted support, they did not respond to my request to remove the code. I'm on my own with no coding experience. Went to their website and found the instructions in the FAQs the instructions. Fun.

I'm compelled to write a review because of the shocking and pick-pocketed service I received. Firstly, I would rate this app a MINUS. I had to put one star, otherwise the review can't be submitted. I'm not going to rant a long review - but I will say these 3 key points why I'm disgusted with their service: 1) I paid for the Pro Plan features for 1 year up front. 6 months into the plan, the company withdrew all features and moved me onto the Free Plan. I raised this crucial point of 'I paid for this plan and still have 6 months left', and they told me to 'pay for the Pro Plan again if I want those features'. I never got those features again, so I cut my losses and deleted the app. 2) I thought I was making headway with getting them to understand my position with a man named CHRISTIAN from their customer service department. He said all the right things but failed to reinstate the plan properly which I paid for. Eventually he ceased any communication with me, then that told me everything! 3) The app itself was full of issues shortly after using it for a few weeks. I raised every issue I came across, only to be told 'it's Shopify's fault'. I made it very clear to them, every app I have through Shopify works works fine, even after any updates... except yours! They stuck to their excuse for the duration of my unfortunate experience until I left. My experience is clearly not everybody's experience when you look at the reviews, but there are some who have had a similar bad experience like mine, so that leaves me to end this review by saying: Avada - you done me wrong, and you know you done me wrong! I know Karma will come back to bite you for your two-bit customer service and pick-pocketing ways!

I really don't understand. I have already given them the source code of the website theme, but they keep asking to enter my store backend. I don't understand what they are trying to do. The after-sales customer service basically doesn't understand technology, and keeps asking me to wait. The problem was not solved until she got off work, and then she replied that she had already gone off work and she couldn't solve the problem. I really don't understand why I was treated like this after becoming a member. I'm really angry.

Impressed by the 4.9 rating, I installed this app on the 5th and allowed theme customization to enhance speed. Suddenly, conversions dropped, but our developer fixed it on the 7th. The next day, all our listings vanished. Reporting to Avada revealed their theme customization was causing errors with our filter app, which Avada then rectified. The website's speed improved by 0.5 seconds, yet errors persisted, leading to significant revenue loss. The support agents were responsive but consistently denied any issues caused by their app. Meta could not retrieve URL parameters, resulting in a dead ad performance. After uninstalling Avada, the problems ceased. I advise caution or avoidance when considering installation.

We gave a test to this solution for over 3 months and we strongly suggest NOT to use it on your site. Their support is super unreliable , they assign non qualified people whom only waste your time with useless questions and issues are forgotten by their dev team unless you bring it to their teams attention every day. Even in that case there are many times their team can't fix the issue. The slution claims to do many things, but if you actually check things majority is not working;. Meta replacements - broken and none functional. Instant page - not correct at all and a marketing lie Worst of all is , they implement functions and enable those functions default. When you try to disable those functions, you are presented with an option to upgrade to Enterprise package. Best of it , those functions are causing major issues on your site and you are stucked in a loop. Forced to pay for a better package just to fix a bug on your site. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this app
