1. prices got higer, but ok. Everythings getting more expensive 2. i tried to import a csv and tested it first. With a few products. Some of them have variants. After I saw the import failed and the variants are gone, I restored it with rewind. After that, the variants were back, but with wrong inventory. After asking AI how to backup and restore the inventory amount etc. as well, it says it´s not possible at all. But on the website it says, this tool does backup the inventory as well. So, higher prices for less than promised. Now I am not sure if i can rely on other things as well... lets see what the support can tell here.
We're sorry this wasn't the smooth experience you expected. Rewind does back up and restore products, variants, images, and much more, and in most cases, restoring is seamless and only takes a few clicks. You're right that inventory is not backed up. This is a Shopify API limitation. Every store setup is a little different, which can occasionally affect how restores behave. Our team can work with you to make sure this isn't an issue going forward. Please check your inbox for a note from our support team so we can resolve this with you.

We've been using Rewind for a few years & was convenient to have old listings archived without having them present in the background. While Rewind was probably our favorite app on our list, they slipped when they notified us of a soon-to-be price increase from an affordable $9/mo to $19/mo. This price increase in this economy is not sustainable to the small business that already a ticket holder on the struggle-bus. On the hunt for another service that offers the same support minus the huge price per month.

nice idea for backups but totally flawed in the fact that you cant download an offline copy of the backup. Anyone know whos has dealt with sensitive data over time that leaving your data and backups down to a system out of your hands is basic bad practice. Also the app is expensive at $5 every month, thats $60 per year or $300 over 5 years - a hell of alot more than very high quality software which is a time purchase. I do not agree with the ongoing payment system these apps suck you into - over time they end up costing a ridiculous amount of money for what you get. If offline backups were available and the app was a one time payment , would prob get 5 stars, until then its 2 stars.
We do allow customers to download offline copies of their backups. Contact us at [email protected] and request an export of your data - we're happy to provide that to paying customers who have been with us for 6 months or more.
