We have a multi language site that includes 2 variant options on the buy button, however we are not able to change the variant names or at least do so in the button code manually to have multiple languages. Although I am now exploring apps for this, it would be better to include some sort of native support for this. Also the load times for the button are pretty slow and the pages that include them have suffered performance wise as a result.
Thank you for writing your review and for providing us with this valuable feedback for the Buy Button. I can see why it would be important for your business to have better functionality when it comes to offering products and variants in different languages via the Buy Button, and of course why it'd be beneficial if the pages that contain the buttons loaded faster. I will be sure to submit your feedback to our app development team for their consideration. -Victor, Shopify Support

We are using this app for retailers websites. The app is OKAY!! You can make this app work so much better by Being able to name the button!! This way you can If you have more then one site with the button on it where the sale came from!!!! Please contact me I need this on the app. Thank you Scott Hunter Custom Chameleon Inc
Hey, there! I can certainly see how that would be helpful - I'll be sure to submit that as a feature request for you. In the meantime, you can likely track your Buy Button sales more specifically by using an analytics tool such as Google Analytics. Hope that helps! - Brie, Shopify Support

Overall good app. Some things still need to be improved, for example: when you "Add to Cart" via the Buy Button, you only see the product in you "Buy Button Cart". The product will not be added to your normal shopify Cart.
Hey, there! I can definitely see how that would be useful; I'll be sure to pass this on to our developers as a feature request for you. In the meantime, you could do this by manually coding links and buttons to your product pages, however this would negate the intended use of adding products to the cart from external content. Thank you for the feedback! - Brie, Shopify Support

Hi there, I am not sure what exactly this is useful for on my website. I intalled the app but there is not explanation what it is useful for. Do I need it if I already sell my products?
Hi, there! In brief, the Buy Button is a shortcut for buying one of your products, typically placed on an external website. They make purchasing products easier for your customers that are coming from other sites, and they can also be used to create quick checkout links that you can then share with customers through an email campaign, direct message, or social media post. You can read more about it here: https://bit.ly/3fEvRmo. Feel free to reach out to support any time with more questions about it. - Brie, Shopify Support

For the most part, buy button works OK when you already have your own web site. Three things really need improvement, though. 1 - A buyer can see if an item is in stock before adding to the cart (that's good), but the actual quantity on hand is hidden. The buyer does not know if they ordered more than what's available until checkout. 2 - Once in checkout, a buyer cannot edit the cart contents, and cannot easily return to the website to continue shopping. If they wanted six red party hats but only three are available, they have to abandon their cart and start over. If the same thing happens again with orange party hats, they're likely to look for another store. 3 - When you pause your store (temporarily close), if someone clicks an add-to-cart button they get an error message thrown at them, "Oops, something went wrong. Contact the store owner." or words to that effect. It would be much better to let the owner create a "paused store message" that would be displayed rather than a misleading error message. Thanks for asking,
Thanks so much for this feedback! I can definitely see how these changes could be beneficial, and I'll be sure to pass those requests on to the relevant team. Cheers. - Brie, Shopify Support

This is okay to use, but it's not stylish enough. I would rate this app 3-star. Because of small issue that I paste the code into the HTML editor on shopify blog, the button isn't centerd on the page.
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback for us here. I'd like to find out more about the issue you're having centring the button and hear any other feedback you may have, so that I can pass this on to our developers for you. I'll send you an email shortly for more details. Warm regards. - Oliver, Shopify Support

It works but could be more user friendly. It is impossible to centre in a page no matter how often you select this option. Having to past it in code and having no visible icon on the page to check presentation is also not great. Overall a good idea and great that its free but it could do with some work,
Hi, there! Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback here. I'd like to find out more information about your centre issue and hear any other feedback you may have, so that I can pass this on to our developers for you. I'll send you an email shortly for more details. Cheers. - Brie, Shopify Support

I wish there were more options for customizing the product page. The button itself works well, but the layout of the product page, and how all text is squished together makes it look amateurish. Also, as far as I can tell, there's no way of modifying the product button once it has been created.
Thanks for taking the time to offer your feedback. It sounds like your concern lies with the theme's product page, rather than the Buy Button app: (https://bit.ly/351cdvP), which is used for embedding buttons onto external websites and blog posts. The Buy Button can be customized: (https://bit.ly/357is1r); however, these customizations are not supported. If it is the theme you're referring to, I'd love to take a look at what sorts of customizations you're wanting to be made and we can discuss what your options are. I've gone ahead and sent you an email to gather more information and we can continue our conversation there. Looking forward to hearing back from you! - Ryder, Shopify Support

I was expecting more. Using this on a Squarespace site and overall it's impressively easy to use but without anyway to zoom into products is disappointing. The only work around that I have come up with is to add secondary and tertiary images that show product details in closeup. Other than this one issue I think the product is brilliant. I am trying to find a proper zoom image function that might be available as a code snippet. Currently looking at the Shopify buybutton repo on GitHub for some clues.
Hi, there! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave your feedback here - I'm happy to hear that you're pleased with this channel apart from the product zoom ability. I can certainly appreciate how useful that feature would be, and will be sure to pass it on to the developers as a feature request for you. In the meantime, you may be interested in hiring a Shopify Expert (https://bit.ly/2X9fyGY) to add extra coding to the button for you. Hope that helps! - Brie, Shopify Support

I have Shopify Lite and enjoy the ease of use when integrating the buttons onto my square space site however the pop-up item details still have poor image quality and container size restraints which makes viable configurations limiting. The best option is to use a button configured to "full view" as it allows for better product viewing. Although this is a worthwhile option when trying to integrate products into a 3rd party site it still has its limitations and doesn't integrate with most Shopify Apps. For $9/mo it's a case of you get what you pay for and offers plenty of room for improvement.
Thank you for sharing this feedback, and outlining your experience with the Buy Button app. I'd like to learn more about the issues with image quality and container size restraints that you mentioned, so I'm going to follow up with you via email. That way, we can also discuss any other limitations you've noticed, and ensure your feedback is shared with our teams directly. I look forward to speaking with you soon! - Rae, Shopify Support

It allowed for pseudo integration with my Squarespace site which is nice, but it could be better. The detailed view pop out option does not let users magnify the product image which would be helpful for selling apparel or anything with a design like I sell.
Hi, there! Thanks so much for taking the time to provide your feedback here. I'll be sure that this gets passed on to the correct team as a feature request for you, so that it is hopefully implemented in the future. Cheers! - Brie, Shopify Support

I like how well the buy buttons integrate with a web page and how easy it is to insert into html. BUT THE IMAGE QUALITY IS SO POOR. I upload high quality product images and they become incredibly diminished when displayed on my website.
I'm glad to hear that you have found the Buy Button app easy to use and we appreciate you providing us your feedback here. In terms of the issue re: image quality, I do not believe this should be happening and if the Buy Button is really reducing the quality of your images, I'd recommend contacting our support team at help.shopify.com/questions to seek further assistance. -Victor, Shopify Support

It would be great if there was more options for the layout. It's a great shortcut to the product page
Hi, there! Thanks so much for the feedback. I'd like to find out more about the types of options you'd like to see added to the channel, so that I can make sure those are submitted as feature requests for you. Buy Buttons are great for business, but slow to process payments. Square Payments pays in 24 hours.
Thank you for providing your feedback, and I can sympathize why for merchants it's preferable to receive payouts from their orders as soon as possible. I will be sure to pass your request onto our development team for their consideration. -Victor, Shopify Support

You need to more exactly specify the space/sizing needs with tables/frames for this to work/look ok. The functionality is inconsistent when using the different modes offered.
Thank you for writing your review and for providing your feedback to us here. I can certainly see why this additional information would help you when it comes to embedding the Buy Button on third-party sites, so I will be sure to submit this suggestion to our development team on your behalf. Thanks again for detailing your feedback to us here. -Victor, Shopify Support

Integrating the button to my website was simple. However the product images were so degraded, I was really disappointed. Despite trying different sizes, dimensions and resolutions (all saved for web), the images still look terrible. The option to have an enhanced button template was also missing, so even though I had multiple images and a product description, I wasn't able to choose the enhanced template feature to show those. There should be clarification that a Shopify "Free Trial" does not entitle you to truly run a store. I received error messages when first attempting to run transactions with no clear solution provided. This was only rectified when I paid for an account, which I didn't realize was necessary when signing up. I understand having to pay for the service, but the error message was not clear that that was the issue.
Hi, there. Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I'll be sure to pass along that feedback to the relevant teams. Your product images certainly shouldn't be degraded when using the button - I'd like to help you troubleshoot that further, so I'll send you an email shortly and we can take a look together. Glad this feature exists because it allows me to continue using Wix as my front end (way more flexible than any Shopify theme, btw), however there are some limitations with the buy button. - Sizing is awkward - Only links to a specific product/collection, no other flexibility -Only available as iFrame for WIX -Uses a 'pop-up' cart, rather than a redirect, which is quite annoying. All-in-all, there is plenty of room for improvement, and it works alright.
Hi, there! Thanks so much for the helpful feedback - I can definitely see how those changes would be valuable. In regards to the pop up cart as opposed to redirecting the customer, we've found that it lowers user experience to redirect customers away from the page they're on, and often results in abandoned carts - though I certainly can see your point! I'd like to gather a few more details about your other requests, so that I can pass those on to our developers for you. I'll reach out to you via email shortly and we can speak there. Cheers! - Brie, Shopify Support

Nice and easy coding/merging with website, but I’ve had some issues where customers In Safari don’t receive the “cart checkout” pop up when clicking on “add to cart”.. not a lot of info out there on fixing this..
Hi, there! Thanks for reaching out about that. This is most likely because the customer has blocked any site popups on their browser, however I'd like to look into that further for you. I'll follow up with you via email shortly for some more information. Thank you. - Brie, Shopify Support

Only complaint - put more customization in the code generator for button. For example Pixel Size of CompareAt pricing has to be changed in code for each button. Why can't you just make a customization to change it or remove it outright from the display.
Hi, there. Thank you for taking the time to write a review, and I can definitely see how that option would be helpful! I'll be sure to pass that on to our developers so that they know you'd like to see more customization options. Thanks for the feedback! - Brie, Shopify Support

Not even sure how this app got installed, It looks like the Buy Button was added to almost all my inventory - but I don't want it added to all my inventory, Only inventory that I have for sale on other sales channels. It looks like I will have to manually remove the button from 700 items? Can this be fixed another way?
Hi, there! If you don't want to use the Buy Button sales channel, you can easily remove it under Settings > Sales channels in your admin (click the trash can icon). Doing this will remove it as a sales channel for all of your products by default. If you'd like to keep the Buy Button for future use but don't want to have it available for your products for the time being, you can remove it as an option for your products using the bulk editor: https://bit.ly/2ZsaP4d or by updating your products via a CSV file: https://bit.ly/2IXhN89. All of that said, the Buy Button won't take any action unless you manually go into the channel and create a Buy Button for a product and then embed it onto an external website, so there's no harm done if it sits as available for your products without use. I'll follow up with you via email shortly to see if you need any further help with this. Best! - Brie, Shopify Support
