Buy Button channel

Hi there, I am not sure what exactly this is useful for on my website. I intalled the app but there is not explanation what it is useful for. Do I need it if I already sell my products?

For the most part, buy button works OK when you already have your own web site. Three things really need improvement, though. 1 - A buyer can see if an item is in stock before adding to the cart (that's good), but the actual quantity on hand is hidden. The buyer does not know if they ordered more than what's available until checkout. 2 - Once in checkout, a buyer cannot edit the cart contents, and cannot easily return to the website to continue shopping. If they wanted six red party hats but only three are available, they have to abandon their cart and start over. If the same thing happens again with orange party hats, they're likely to look for another store. 3 - When you pause your store (temporarily close), if someone clicks an add-to-cart button they get an error message thrown at them, "Oops, something went wrong. Contact the store owner." or words to that effect. It would be much better to let the owner create a "paused store message" that would be displayed rather than a misleading error message. I used this app to send to a customer from fb who asked for the price of a fedora hat. Instead of sending her the website, sending her the buy button allowed her to buy exactly what she asked for, and the buy channel made it easy.

This is okay to use, but it's not stylish enough. I would rate this app 3-star. Because of small issue that I paste the code into the HTML editor on shopify blog, the button isn't centerd on the page.

I used the app to send a direct purchase link to a customer. It worked. Look forward to using the app more.

It works but could be more user friendly. It is impossible to centre in a page no matter how often you select this option. Having to past it in code and having no visible icon on the page to check presentation is also not great. Overall a good idea and great that its free but it could do with some work,

Pretty Good Plugin to sell our products on a partners website. Had enough edting options and works great.

The buy button is great. Makes managing products on my website very easy. There's only one thing I would immediately add if I could. There's 3 "versions" of the buy button - classic, basic and full view. There definitely should be a fourth which has the button AND the price, but no photo. Call it "streamline" or something. Since I like to use my own product photos on the site I have no use for the expanded thumbnail that you would use, but having the price shown along with the button would relieve me and having to keep a separate pricelist correlated with the prices on Shopify. Do that and the Buy Button is perfect.

I like this feature! It helped me close a custom order sale that was initiated from Instagram. I was able to insert the buy button right into our DM chat stream, making it very easy for her to make the purchase.

I love that I can choose collections to feature from my shop! It's a wonderful app and is very easy to use. I would love to have more options for customization (like sorting, showing more info, changing photo sizes, etc.) without getting to involved in coding, but other than that, it's simple, not buggy, and makes it very easy to list products on my Showit site.

I previously had a full Shopify store, but I did not like having to drive traffic there and to my blog that I've had since early 2010 (maybe before?). So I closed it. What I really wanted was a way to sell on my blog since my audience comes there from my YouTube channel, and so I took another look at Shopify, saw the ShopifyLite option, and bought it that night. I wish there were more options for customizing the product page. The button itself works well, but the layout of the product page, and how all text is squished together makes it look amateurish. Also, as far as I can tell, there's no way of modifying the product button once it has been created.

I used the buy button because it allowed me to launch a shop to my existing website without having to take over a lot of extra fees. It didn't need me to setup a different website or pay for different services. At that price its very convenient for a very small side hussle like mine because I didn't necessarely wanted to invest tons of money on something that might not work at all. What I dislike is the fact that I have to go through the process of recreating the buttons for every new items that might need to be added or everything I want to make a change. This adds the possibility of me choosing different options by mistake each time and affecting the overall look of my store or its consistency. I wish you could kind of keep a saved up '' button setting'' where you could just update it without having to re-enter all of the information each time. great way to use the Shopify sales channel and paymen capabilities without showing some products at the store, something that can be needed under some business case.

I am really happy with the Buy Button channel. It allows me to highlight products at the end of a blog post without interrupting the flow of the narrative with links to elsewhere on the site. Since I started using it in early June, 20% of my revenue has come from Buy Button sales.

I used the buy button in conjunction with Wix to create a fully custom interactive store with custom pages for each product it worked great. I wish I could have the cart separate from each button I also wish it was more modular so I could decide which elements I really needed instead of the default layout.

Really needs the script to keep the cart on every page once products are added, as well as ability to mask URL change.

The buy button app is very easy to install and use! Con: it would be very helpful if other apps features that have been applied to the corresponding shopify store were transferred to the buy button. For example, the buy button does not allow upsells. An upsell feature would make the buy button an exceptional app.

I was pleasantly surprised that it worked. I wasn't sure I had installed it right. I will continue to add it to different platforms. Thank you!

I appreciate that I can use the backend of Shopify handling orders and customers and security while still maintaining the front end of my own site.
