We used this app for a number of years on our B2B wholesale site. Combined with Locksmith we had a great B2B secure site. 2 months ago we started having issues with the app, when we asked for support, Bold upgraded us from version 2 to version 3 without asking and without any considerations to the site. By doing this they broke our site and we had to take the site down for several days. We kept escalating to their support team and eventually managed to get a patched site together, After 6 weeks of dealing with them with NO progress or support, we eventually decided to look at other apps. We received the nice sorry cannit help and if you need anything contact us email. We use Bold apps across 4 sites we run and have really noticed a change in the last 12 months in their level of support and continual increases in prices. My recommendations are that you look at alternatives for a long term partner. They are not as "hungry" and supportive as other app providers. I think they have just become too big. Such a shame. Hello! The app does not work properly in my shop and the installation team is overwhelmed with their work and has not been able to find a solution until today! The support is also very, very slow and the work is not checked. There is no good quality management at BOLD. On September 5th, 2020 I installed the BOLD app for testing and today is September 22nd, 2020 and it still doesn't work and I have been waiting for the last feedback from support for 2 days again! I cannot recommend this app + company! I now have another app to test and it works very well for me and the support is very helpful and quick with its answers! The app costs more money, but it's worth it to me! Have a nice day! Greetings from Germany!

Bold Custom Pricing works from the shop side, but has some significant limitations for true wholesale use. The app only works on the shop side, it does not apply 'wholesale pricing' to draft orders through the admin portal. It's not uncommon, when working with wholesale customers to need to supply a pro forma invoice etc. for payment or to enter a paper based order manually, which we can do in Shopify using a draft order. Bold Pricing hasn't been integrated into the admin side, so you manually have to apply discounts to make it work. Good if your wholesale customer always puts their orders in using the shop side, but fails if you need to generate a manual order. If you are entering some orders on behalf of customers, this (to the best of my experience and knowledge... happy to be proven wrong) will not work as a good solution to wholesale pricing. The work around (can't believe they suggested this...) is to create a dummy customer, create an order, get the discounts, go back to a new draft order (still with me..?) manually update the new draft order with the price and process the order.. (really,.. ok). Customer support is slow to respond (I assume it's ok in US timezones, but outside of this.. hmm). The app will work well for some users, but understand it's limitations. Get's one star (probably more due to the supports idea on how to work around the problem) rather than fixing it. It's another app that has great intentions but (in my opinion, others will differ) fails to understand how this type of business process flow is likely to operate. Hopefully they consider making this 'added functionality' something in an upcoming product release.

At first all looked as working well. When I noticed an error in the install they make it hard for you to request help. They Keep emailing you redirecting the matter with fixes that aren’t even close to your needs.

Before installing this app and wasting your time, make sure you read BOLD's documentation, especially this article: https://support.boldcommerce.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005305726. There are some significant, deal breaker type limitations with all versions of this app. The most recent version, Version 3 has the following limitations according to the page linked to above, and confirmed by their live chat support: It does NOT work with third-party checkout buttons like Amazon Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc. It does NOT work with Shopify discount codes. It is NOT compatible with some inventory management apps. Draft orders remain in your Shopify admin after a customer has checked out. I wish I had known these things upfront, which is why I'm posting this review so it will hopefully help others before they waste their time if any of those things are deal breakers like they are for me.

This app SUCKS! After this APP was expert installed, it created duplicate variants in all of our Google Shopping Campaigns, showing discounted prices to consumers. After I spoke with customer service, they had NO FIX FOR THIS! Additionally, it created an issue, where customers could not select different variants or flavors of products, and page descriptions would not scroll so that customers could read about the products. Tons of lost revenue. If you have a very ‘simple’ store then I suggest reading the tutorial on how to duplicate your theme and create your own wholesale customer store. Do not download this app.

I was hoping to use this app to sell to select customers (retailers) who had a retailer tag in Shopify. However, after I created a 50% retailer discount in this app, the discount was visible all over our webstore, and if anyone added more than 1 of any item to their cart, they received a 50% discount. Now, perhaps I simply misunderstood the app. But this is when the bigger issue arose. When I discovered that the app wasn't doing what I thought it would, I deleted the setting I created in the Custom Pricing app. But nothing changed. So I deleted the entire app. STILL nothing changed. The app had made permanent changes in my Shopify theme. I'm lucky to have a designated customer service helper at Bold, but if I didn't, it may have been days before Bold's team could have weeded out the old code (fortunately it only took a few hours). I had high hopes for this app. While I love and will continue to use other Bold Apps (Upsell, Recurring Memberships, Brain, Bundles, and Store Locator), I would not recommend Custom Pricing given the issues I described.

Installed this app and our website would not load at all. Only would load a white page. The content was still there on the backend of Shopify, but nothing would load. Luckily we had a backup saved. Reached out to support and waiting to hear back. Just wanted to make this review in-case someone else experienced this.

I uninstalled this app this morning and whilst this is not usually a big deal It has broken my entire website by corrupting my theme and placing every single product SOLD Out and disabled the add to cart function. I have lost all income in one of the busiest sales periods. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING. INSTALL THIS APP AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Extremely complicated and I could not get it to do what I needed it to do. It probably wouldn't be so complicated if they had useful support articles, or an explanation somewhere of how the app works! The support articles seem to be out of date, at least for the interface I was looking at. What is a CSP? Why does NOTHING happen when I create a price group? How does install really work? I'm a technical person, but I wrangled with this app for way longer than I expected to. Big waste of time for me. But it might be great for some people who can get it working.

Could never get this to work and will discontinue the app. Have been paying for months thinking I would turn it on at some point, but have decided it is not worth the effort. Will just continue to build multiple products for retail and wholesale. Service started out at a 5 star and dropped to 2 stars since it would take days to get a response to attempted fix, to another few days to attempt to fix what the first attempt broke. Never did get it right. What a waste.

Recommended to use this for Quantity Breaks by Bold Support, as their quantity breaks app was broken. Worst thing we ever did. Sales down because it doesn't show 'From' prices on the collection pages and also when customers buy the quantities with discount doesn't get applied to the order, so totally useless. AVOID if using for quantity breaks.

Really is a terrible app, or developers do not understand the Ecommerce Business, This app was supposed to be simple, it changed my pricing of products, disabled my google merchant shop feed because of the prices, disastrous. BEWARE and enter with caution.

BLOODY NIGHTMARE Can't take advantage of Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram sales channels because all your wholesale prices will be exposed. Not to mention, any time they do a liquid update, ALL MY WHOLESALE PRICES ARE EXPOSED ON MY WEBSITE. NEED HELP AFTER HOURS? Forget it. I'm losing money as I write this review because I happen to not notice this happened today until now, almost 6PM CT. I am running a sale combining this app with the Product Discount app, which works fine together, BUT after the liquid code install apparently NO ONE BOTHERED TO CHECK IF THAT HAD AN EFFECT ON MY WEBSITE, WHICH IS EXPOSING MY WHOLESALE PRICES ON ALL SALE ITEMS. Think about it, the sale is 40-50% off retail and the WHOLESALE PRICES ON THIS SALE IS BEING EXPOSED! THAT IS MY FREAKING COST!!! Today was the first day I tripled my Facebook Ad spend to this specific collection so I can liquidate this collection's stock and I'm getting a ton of customer service emails wondering wtf is up with the prices. They are confused and I'M LOSING SALES. Extremely pissed.

Had the app for years. They suggested we move to draft order pricing in December, ruined our whole site and dealer programs. Wasted about 50 hours getting it all fixed and back to the Variant version, lost thousands of dollars in lost orders. Fast forward to April, they update something in the app and now pages won't load. Support doesn't understand anything you are saying, wasted about 60+ hours and lost tens of thousands in orders. They're basically saying our size store can't be supported by this awful app, but they had no problem supporting me paying for it. On to find a different app, I'll update when we find a good replacement so you know where to look too. Don't waste time and money on Bold apps, the support is an absolute joke. Bold does not care about customers.

BEWARE! This app will create options and variants for every tag and pricing group you create and causes major theme and site errors! I do not recommend this app at all. They did not clearly explain how this app affects the site even after I had requested information and then after installing their customer support was non-existent. Ended up having to clean up 4 duplicate variants across 1300 skus by myself! DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS. It will mess up your site. It also does not work with coupon codes nor with 3rd party inventory systems.

Absolutely awful customer support, we contacted 4 days ago, nobody bothered to help us properly install the app. The app installation completely screwed up the theme and regular customers couldn't put orders through. We ended up uninstalling this and lost money over it.
