tl/dr, we have a serious yet seemingly easy issue to fix. Support is in india (we think) and it has been impossible to fix our issue since cin7 was installed over a year ago. It has never worked for us. ----- We have been having a desperate time with cin7 core. We far preferred OrderHive which worked for us. Dear Systems bought OrderHive and shut it down, and we found ourselves talked into moving to cin7. Our core problem which nobody seems to be able to fix is that, despite the myriad of settings and options, it appears to be impossible for cin7 to partially fulfil an order that contains items items we fulfill and items marked as Drop-Shipped. Regardless of what we do, when we ship the items we are responsible for shipping out of our warehouse, cin7 communicates back to shopify that all items in the order have now been shipped, inclusive of the drop ship items. In reality, the we have a separate integration with shopify to Inventory-source which handles our dropshipping. We want cin7 to leave the drop-shipped items alone. We have been operating with our integration with shopify disabled and we have been manually marking our shipments partially fulfilled in shopify and actually cut n pasting tracking numbers. Its been a total nightmare and we cant wait to get off this product. Its now been over a year. We have been going back and forth with support in India (there appears to be nobody local). We have demonstrated the problem numerous times. There appears to be nobody local in the USA to help. I am posting this here in the hopes that someone higher up in cin7 will FINALLY listen to us and help us with this issue. If they do I will edit this review.

Beware, if you try to cancel the subscription, your only option is to schedule a sales call. If you don't change your mind during the sales call, you are told there is a 30 days cancellation notice and you'll have to keep paying the subscription one more month. Of course the app isn't exactly great which is why I wanted to cancel in the first place.

The onboarding help has been great. We migrated from Orderhive and Atulya went above and beyond to reduce the pain from migrating. She was very patient and helpful getting us up and running. We're still getting up to speed as Core has different functionality. In some cases more robust than Orderhive however there are some things in Orderhive , like one central place of truth for product information (eg prices) that pushes to all 3rd parties.

App is ok and does the essential functions of inventory management. Has lots of integrations. Its quite expensive though for an SME with a lot of tools that aren't necessary and the interface can be a little complex to work with. Support also need a bit of pushing to get to the heart of issues and responses can be poor at times. Reporting module needs some work.

I was using Orderhive for order management. Cin7 is a much better program with more features. My onboarding experience was great. They really take the time to make sure everything works right before moving to the new program. I would recommend!

I like that I can integrate my sales channels (Etsy and Shopify - Amazon is an option too, but I opted not to integrate it to save money) and input manual orders in one place to keep track of orders, inventory, shipments, and payments. I used their previous product OrderHive, so it is all fairly intuitive to use, and they provided great onboarding and setup. I was paired with Muskan as my Onboarding Specialist, and she was very patient, knowledgeable, and helpful in getting me setup.

Recently after the merger with Cin7 (previously dear system), the support and issues have increased. We have a major bug in product integration for last 5 weeks and still waiting for resolution. For them it is not a priority and no proper work around provided. Not sure if this is faced by any other customers. No escalation channel, no account manager support. We are a customer for last 3 years but now looking for replacement.

Stay away. Invested in help in set up but cant get any help from CIN 7. Cant even contact support, waiting on replies on tickets. No phone number, no easy way to chat. Person initially helping disappears as soon as one subscribes. Overly complicated. Already searching for replacement

It allows you to monitor inventory more easily. It also integrates very well with Xero. The support team was very accommodating and helpful with their knowledge of the app, even though we encountered some issues. The downsides for me are: 1. Having to use the Messenger app for support. 2. if you allocate a credit note to a supplier invoice on Xero it won't sync to DEAR. 3. It doesn't push changes to a Shopify order across to DEAR.

I would never in 1000 years recommend someone uses this system. It's incredibly overcomplicated and slow & not the right fit for an e-commerce company. Unless you have a team big enough to have someone dedicated full time to dear problem solving I would stay away at all costs. We paid thousands on dear consultants over the past year trying to get dear running well for us and after 18 months we're scrapping the project and moving onto a new system.

Very useful in integrating sales from Shopify to other accounting software. Also makes inventory monitoring easier. We encountered some issues though but the support is very accommodating and helpful with their knowledge of the app.

Better than Tradegecko that we were using before. I like the ease of use. However, I think the extra $50 per additional user is too steep, and DEAR also charges ala carte per integration with 3rd party application too. This is both good and bad. You just need to evaluate your cost structure before you sign up. Overall, I would recommend it.

So far, DEAR's email ticket response time has been under 24 hours and the replies have resolved issues to my satisfaction, even when it takes a couple of emails...

Great and robust system for handing our needs. Great intergrations. Support is good. Could be a bit better at timelines for meetings in general however when i really needed some help they made it happen so cant fault them really.

New to DEAR so early days yet. The onboarding service was great, really happy with the service provided. A couple of glitches but generally a positive experience. Been up & running for week now & couple of things could be better/simpler particularly around importing data for sales orders. But for an off the shelve program its ok. But based on service to date I'm going 4 stars!

We have looked at a lot of inventory management systems and migrated from Tradegecko to DEAR. Extremely impressed with the product and system. It has a lot of manufacturing features that we do not use however for tracking purchase orders, bundles, composite products it is excellent. It is easy to duplicate products to quickly add or CSV can be imported. There is never going to be the perfect IMS for everyones business processes but this covers most of ours. We have suggested some improvments regarding batch actions via the web interface. Overall can recommend, no problems syncing with Shopify.

I used to be major fan of this software. Our company has been using it since 2016. Since the company has been acquired by Cin7 support has really declined. We've had a critical support case open for 3 weeks and it is still not resolved. I have been unable to talk to a human. I keep getting fobbed off with "the technical team is working on it" "our technical director will call you" "the fix will be rolled out over the weekend". All I want to do is talk to a human. I've asked every time to speak to someone about the issue. Nobody is talking. We pay 8K per year for the software. I used to recommend DEAR to many colleagues in the e-commerce space as a leading solution. However, this incident has left me really disillusioned with the company. If it was a minor issue I could understand a ticket taking 3 weeks to resolve but this has been a catastrophic meltdown of our Amazon integration in 4 countries. We have 69,000 notifications of sales data that can't be reconciled. I would not recommend DEAR inventory. Heather Cole Country Trading Co. Founder
