Import kept identifying my discount codes as products. No option to select what kind of import. Followed directions exactly, downloaded discounts first for formatting, edited, then reuploaded. Created a bunch of "products" that I had to delete. Awful on a time crunch :( UPDATE: Figured it out, zero thanks to support or documentation. You have to make sure your SHEET is named according to the type of import you're doing, and you have to export as an XLSX file (not plain CSV) in order to capture that information. Overall good app, but missing some key instructions.
Hello, Ezpz! Thank you for telling that you had trouble to find the explanation on how to use the Excelify. Although we are trying to explain everything very thoroughly, looks like this time there was some sort of bad coincidence for missing this (totally our fault). Here is the main "How it works" article and video, which explains the thing about the sheet names in very details: https://excelify.io/how-it-works/ Also, you can find the link to it from the Excelify app - Help section (when you scroll down the main page a bit). Please, let me explain why it recognized those as Products. It's because initially, we had this strict requirement that you have to name "all" the sheets to get them imported properly. But customers mostly import the Products, and they kept complaining that they forget to name the sheet as "Products". So we experimented with the ability to automatically assume the sheet is Products if it doesn't have a recognizable name, AND it has some column names which fit for Products (like Title). In the case with Discounts - that column Title exists also there, so it matched. So sincerely sorry that you had to go through this loop of frustration. And I hear you loud and strong that we have to make it possible for you to choose the type of sheet after you have uploaded your file. Also, we shouldn't assume anything, to avoid cases like this when you import Discounts as Products, and you have to delete them afterward. We will work on fixing this. Very good and flexible. Offers data import way and above standard Shopify. But it's sooooooo slooooow! Even the paid for services take hours to upload data. Each file of about 7,000 orders takes 6 - 7 hours to process!
Hello, Igennus! Thank you for your feedback, and very sorry we made you only almost happy... Please, understand that the Excelify app uses Shopify API which has certain speed limitations for all the apps, and that speed limit is 4 "requests" per second. Building an Order through API with all its details is very complex process. It takes several requests to the API. Additional time goes towards finding and "replacing" an existing order, which is in your case. At the moment your import is working with the speed of 2.6 seconds per Order, with your data. Our store has huge volumes (in the range of hundreds of thousands to millions) of products, customers, and discount codes. We were in need of importing millions of discount codes with one upload. The Excelify team went above and beyond to cater to our unique needs. They not only put in several amazing performance improvements on time for our launch, but also provided us constant and special support as we sailed through the crunch times of importing and exporting such large volumes of data. I highly recommend this app to any Shopify store owner who has larger than normal volumes of data. Their app works like a charm and interacting with their team, especially Renars, was one of the best vendor experiences we have had during our site launch.

Please, reach us at the soonest convenience. We have analyzed your recent imports and can confirm that your import of 150'000 Discount Codes is in progress. Most likely what's happening is you don't see the progress - because all those individual discount codes belong to one single Discount (Price Rule). The app doesn't show yet the progress of those individual codes (as those are like sub-items of the same Discount). Can that be an issue? Please, let us know, what made you think that you cannot import more than 100K discount codes (or as you mention "anything")... An absolute must-have app. I literally reviewed all of the apps on the Shopify store... looked at the number of reviews, the verbiage of the reviews (positive and negative), functionality, integrations, etc. and Excelify did not disappoint. This is a super easy app to use and it works perfectly. There's a lot going on in these themes and I wasn't sure I would be able to manage to all of the sections effectively. Not a problem w/Excelify. No review is worth its weight w/out an area of improvement... this is the only one that I've run across... knowing why an upload fails. This is likely user experience/ignorance but I haven't figured that part out yet. Luckily the app is so intuitive that I've only run into this issue once and worked it out using their tutorials. One last thing, I'm the CEO not the CTO and most of you know what that means... this is one intuitive, easy to use app! Update: As suspected user error was at play in the one area of improvement... Excelify reached out and showed me where to find the Import Results. Just another reason to use this app. The team has fantastic customer service!!! Kudos Renars and Team!!!

I'm using this daily, the app is stable and easy to use. I wish I found this gem much earlier. It saved me so much time when working with updating product information in bulk. Highly recommended. ---- after all these years this app is still the only tool we use to import and export data from Shopify for mass site updates, always dependable and reliable.

Free version is useless. Especially for blog comments, you cannot get more than 25 commets(it means nothing, you can do this manually) Edit: Thanks for the response. If it is a bug that is okey.
Wow, so sorry for disappointing you so much... But it really sounds like there was some misunderstanding about the Excelify app. Here's why: 1. Free version is the Demo version which allows you to export up to 10 items per file from any kind of data. And Demo version has no time limit, you can do as many exports/imports as you want. 2. There is no such limit in Demo version for Blog Posts, of mentioned 25 Comments (we double-checked that just now). Your Blog Posts can have several hundreds of comments even in the Demo export, just it will export the first 10 Blog Posts, with all their comments, no matter how many of those you have. Excellent app! it has saved me tons of days of work. I recommend to any one who has to migrate their shop or needs to update their files on CSV. Their support is also very quick and very attentive. I also recommend watching their tutorials. I have learnt a lot with this software!

The dashboards and analytics tools for Shopify are amazing, and when you can import your orders from Woocommerce or Etsy or any other e-commerce site, that data comes to life. Excelify makes that possible. One of the best valued tools out there. It works extremely well, and customer support is outstanding!

This app might be my favorite on the Shopify App store. It's such a comprehensive data pull that it can have a bit of a learning curve to make sure you don't mess up an upload but it's completely worth the time. It's helped me manage data on all our fronts from pulling orders and adding tags to managing hidden metafields that I could not edit in bulk before this app. Maris is wonderfully helpful and responsive as well. This app is constantly being improved based on user feedback and if you ever have trouble there's tons of documentation as well as a community slack channel to help out. Would definitely recommend at least trying the free plan because you'll love it! Completely worth every penny.

I used this application to help me understand, update and keep control of the data in our Shopify Store. From cutover to ongoing operations, the tool and the support from Excelify has been stellar. Glad I have it available.

I migrated to Shopify from Prestashop and so everything was a new learning curve. I did use an app to help me migrate but it was not a complete migration. EXCELIFY was perfect to help me migrate all the information! I had a few questions and the replies/support were quick. This app saved me so much time!

1. YOU CAN CONVERT EXISTING PRODUCTS INTO A VARIATION! 2. BULK DELETE using a CSV file. Was able to delete 10,000 products in one upload omg. <3
