I'm using the app to import old orders and there are couple of small foibles, but the support has been instant, concise and straightforward so definitely would recommend.
Thank you! Please, let us know what what those small foibles are, so that we can do our best to improve those for you. Ideally, if you send those via our Support: support@matrixify.app Maris

I do not recommend it for me. I have updated my rating from one star to four. This system requires advanced knowledge to navigate effectively, and I initially struggled with the CSV and RSS feed data. So, if you think it's plug-in-playplay. It is not. You will need some advanced knowledge.
Yes, you are absolutely right that Matrixify app requires the skills to work with Excel or CSV files. Working with data on the technical level is the very essence of Matrixify app. Thank you very much for your humane attitude and updating your review. If you decide to still give it a try, please work with our Support - we will do our best to help you achieve your goal. Maris Founder & CEO

it works fine but a bit expensive for a monthly fee
Thank you for your Matrixify app review and sharing your experience. We aim to keep the app prices affordable, including not changing our plan Pricing for many years now. But we do understand that, depending on your import/export needs you might need a more expensive plan. Here are a few tricks and notes to keep in mind helping you to keep the costs lower: -The plan limits are for each import/export separately, there are not monthly, daily or weekly limits for our app -You can use Filters in your export jobs to not export all items from the store but only those matching the filters. -For usage in multiple stores, we offer 1 additional free subscription per every 1 paid subscription. For example, to migrate data between 2 Shopify stores, you only need to take paid app subscription in one store. The other store can be activated to the same plan for free by linking it in the paid stores Matrixify Settings. Our Support team has tried to reach you to look more into the app charges in the store, requirements you have and how we could further assist your specific use-case. Please contact us so that we can look more into this and better document your specific use-case for future developments.

I had 1,500 old orders to import from a Wordpress ecommerce site. The Matrixify app did an excellent job and now all of my old orders are in my Shopify site. It wasn't easy, though. VERY steep learning curve to get my data formatted in a spreadsheet correctly. But when I had a question, the staff responded immediately and helpfully. So overall it's a really great app but it's mighty complex for the average user.
Thank you very much for the positive review. Orders migrations can be quite complex as they can contain a lot of small details, each of which need to have a specific structure and place in the import file. For this reason, we have developed the app to migrate Orders directly from the most popular WordPress plugin WooCommerce. With this developed process the bulk of work to put WordPress Orders data into our template structure is done by the app automatically - https://matrixify.app/tutorials/migrate-store-from-wordpress-woocommerce-to-shopify/ Our Support team has reached out to you directly to better understand what plugin/system you were migrating from, understand your struggles and document your specific use-case for future developments. Thank you for helping us grow the Matrixify app and for writing such detailed and helpful review for our app.

A app em si funciona bem se souberes mexer com codigo ou tiveres o mínimo de conhecimento desta área. Penso que podiam ser mais ativos e ajudar nas dúvidas dos clientes como outras app fazem em vez. No entanto, resolveram o meu problema no final. Obrigada.

Works well, unfortunately it doesn't export line (custom) properties from shopify bundles. This makes it useless for my purposes.
Hello! Thank you for your feedback for our app. In Shopify, Orders Line Items are actual Products that will be sent out to the Customer not a Bundle Product. This is why Shopify API returns individual Products as Line Items which our app exports in your Orders export file. Our Support team has reached out to you directly to better understand exact attributes which are missing from the exported file. Please reply to the started ticket or reach out to our Support team and we will look further into the missing data and if it can be included in the exported file. Matrixify Team

I have added some custom metafields and would it be export as well in excel sheet? What configurations i have to do and from where ? Can anyone help me out
Hello! Yes - that is possible - just select the “Metafields” column group in the Export. Also, inside that group you have a chance to include also the Metafields for which you have definitions that don’t have any values yet. The Matrixify Support was trying to reach you to resolve this question. Ideally - the quickest way to reach us is by contacting Matrixify Support directly through one of those channels: https://matrixify.app/contact-us/ Trying to reach us via Reviews might take at least 48 hours to go through Shopify manual processing. The functionality Shopify should have built-in... Tell them to hurry up and buy this add-on and integrate it.
Ouch! Do you really feel it’s fair to give us with 4* - for the reason that you describe? We are a small team that works really hard to bring this functionality to you. Lowering our rating will definitely not help Shopify to buy us. 😅 But on a serious note - Matrixify is already integrated into the Admin. If you have a specific suggestion that you are missing in this integration - let us know and we will see how we can close that gap for you. We have sent you an e-mail from our Support with some additional clarification questions - would be very nice of you to respond to that. Thank you! Maris Founding Engineer

To be honest, do not know how to uninstall it. I delete the app from my Shopify page, but it keeps charging me about $50 per month. And sent me a notification that says "Matrixify (Uninstalled)"
Hello! Wow, so sorry that you have such an impression. 😱 Actually, the charging is done by Shopify according to a strict billing schedule. If you have a charge marked as "Matrixify (Uninstalled)" then it means that Shopify has charged it for the last time for the last period when the app was still installed. You have uninstalled the app on March 3, 2022, but the charge is for the period of February 15, 2022 – March 17, 2022. This charging period is shown in the Shopify bill. It will not continue charging, of course - that was just the last charge for the last unpaid period before uninstall. We checked that in that period you did not have any import/export jobs, so we have refunded you that last month in full. Please, contact our Support if you have any more questions or issues: https://matrixify.app/contact-us/ Maris Veide Founding Developer Matrixify

Import kept identifying my discount codes as products. No option to select what kind of import. Followed directions exactly, downloaded discounts first for formatting, edited, then reuploaded. Created a bunch of "products" that I had to delete. Awful on a time crunch :( UPDATE: Figured it out, zero thanks to support or documentation. You have to make sure your SHEET is named according to the type of import you're doing, and you have to export as an XLSX file (not plain CSV) in order to capture that information. Overall good app, but missing some key instructions.
Hello, Ezpz! Thank you for telling that you had trouble to find the explanation on how to use the Excelify. Although we are trying to explain everything very thoroughly, looks like this time there was some sort of bad coincidence for missing this (totally our fault). Here is the main "How it works" article and video, which explains the thing about the sheet names in very details: https://excelify.io/how-it-works/ Also, you can find the link to it from the Excelify app - Help section (when you scroll down the main page a bit). Please, let me explain why it recognized those as Products. It's because initially, we had this strict requirement that you have to name "all" the sheets to get them imported properly. But customers mostly import the Products, and they kept complaining that they forget to name the sheet as "Products". So we experimented with the ability to automatically assume the sheet is Products if it doesn't have a recognizable name, AND it has some column names which fit for Products (like Title). In the case with Discounts - that column Title exists also there, so it matched. So sincerely sorry that you had to go through this loop of frustration. And I hear you loud and strong that we have to make it possible for you to choose the type of sheet after you have uploaded your file. Also, we shouldn't assume anything, to avoid cases like this when you import Discounts as Products, and you have to delete them afterward. We will work on fixing this. In Support, we were offline because it's Saturday 8am in the morning now, and you had this issue at 6am our time, and we don't have the 24/7 online chat support just yet. Also, if you have any issues with the app, please, don't hesitate to contact our Support here: http://excelify.io/contact-us/ And also, inside the Excelify app, there is a section which shows on which improvements we are working right now, and you can submit your proposal for the improvement - which we always reply to and make it work for you sooner or later - one way or another. Thank you once again, and keep in touch. Maris Excelify Founder

Very good and flexible. Offers data import way and above standard Shopify. But it's sooooooo slooooow! Even the paid for services take hours to upload data. Each file of about 7,000 orders takes 6 - 7 hours to process!
Hello, Igennus! Thank you for your feedback, and very sorry we made you only almost happy... Please, understand that the Excelify app uses Shopify API which has certain speed limitations for all the apps, and that speed limit is 4 "requests" per second. Building an Order through API with all its details is very complex process. It takes several requests to the API. Additional time goes towards finding and "replacing" an existing order, which is in your case. At the moment your import is working with the speed of 2.6 seconds per Order, with your data. There are several strategies you can apply to increase your import speed dramatically, which we describe in details here: https://excelify.io/2017/11/06/maximize-shopify-bulk-import-speed/ and here: https://excelify.io/2019/03/30/improve-speed-for-shopify-export-and-import/ One of the strategies we do on our side, is we run several imports in parallel, e.g. for Big Plan there are 5 parallel processes importing the same file. And in Enterprise, there are 10 parallel processes - and on this level, we definitely make sure we utilize the maximum of the Shopify API speed capabilities. Please, reach us on Excelify Support, we will help you make your import faster: https://excelify.io/contact-us/ Will be trying to reach you, and will really appreciate if you reach us in any way directly. Thank you so much! Maris Excelify Founder

I used this app to transfer contact list from wix to Shopify. It doesn't transfer all the information but it makes it easier to transfer emails at bulk.
