I am coming from using Magento for many years and I have never needed YouTube to get Google Analytics working. However, here on Shopify with this app it is impossible to set up Google Analytics without YouTube. Anyway, I have created my "Brand Account (limited to YouTube)" as they call it now (see the note at the top of https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/7001996), but during the integration when it is time to choose the brand account and selecting the one I did create for the business, it errors with: `Whoops! You're using an account that can't go here. Reference code: es=ABAdc_iIhvK2ZAUWDqjIpeVqHbBtzFtg77o3S-SuSVaYbkqCFX2hkzoGnFRJpqWCRvGTmmexXpLjulqXJ1j1Z_ya7eArOENnYaIVsIECGEnUVdgDwqSXm5TKY-4vgJHAU5Quh6H2l9lK` The reference code is alway random and the error itself is not immediately helpful at all. I have spoken to the Shopify support people but they only suggest to check with Google. Google on the other hand it is impossible to contact as they always refer you to the community and can raise a question with the public. I just needed Google Analytics set up...

Hi! Thanks for your feedback. You should not need to set up a YouTube Account if all you want to do is use Google Analytics. When you download the app, you can set up Google Analytics 4 during the onboarding and skip the additional programs. You won't need a YouTube Brand Account if you already have a Google Analytics account. Send us a message so we can assist you further! App doesn't work, I put in my mobile as requested to authorise and it says an unknown error has occurred. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times with the same outcome. The help link goes to a generic Google help site with no specific information on what is actually going wrong.

Verry disapointed about this app. Since i'm using this app my google ads account is suspended for circumventing systems policy. I have contacted google a lot of times, there is no service and no help?! We have object several times and nobody is trying to help us so we can fix te problem. We have a simple shopify store with a few products.. @Google, can you contact us how we can fix the problem so we can advertise our products..

horrid app. I have it installed, everything is synced and connected, be it merchant center, analytics, google ads. Everything should be good. Tag assistant says no Google tags are on my site. So what's the point?

Worst.. when just connected with the Shopify account the products were getting approved. and after 2-3 days it was showing as Misrepresentation policy violated. No proper clarification is provided. just the robotic email received that to visit the policy page and read all over again ang again. it would have been better if there are specific issues have been mentioned. so that as an individual handling all the things can manage and correct the things which is causing issue. instead of just copy pasting the same email. i know nothing right is going to happen. just in words a message full of formality include an apology and our our team will look into this. or is looking into the concern or some same repetitive bot messages.

I have 4 products on my shopify store, www.larslion.com and only 1 product is being review now, what about my other 3 products? I also have an other glitch 'Invalid store name' go to, you're rgoogle merchant center... But I don't see anything with a wrong/invalid store name.. Pain to set this up...

Used this plugin to connect to google ads as well as GA4 but, but the ADS conversion data is not captured at all!

Customer care is virtually non-existent, as they merely direct customers to read through policies, terms & conditions, and other documentation to resolve issues independently. Responses are often vague, lacking specific reasons for account suspensions.

Removi da minha conta pois queria tirar todos os produtos do ar e NÃO REMOVE OS PRODUTOS DO GOOGLE SHOPPING/ GOOGLE MERCHANT CENTER, editei em massa os produtos todos para 10 reais como teste e foi tudo para o google shopping e merchant center, agora que removi, eles ainda estão lá por 10 reais e estamos recebendo clientes pedindo os produtos pelo preço errado

Hello and thank you for taking the time to leave a review. In order to delete the product follow these steps: 1. disconnect Google & YouTube app in Shopify 2. Then go to Merchant Center and delete those products manually. By default Google retains products for 30 days before they expire. If you need products to be removed from Merchant Center immediately, you can delete them directly in Merchant Center after you disconnect the Google & YouTube app within Shopify

Reply to Google feedback: Thank you for your reply Our issue is your tag team installed the Google tags on our website before the Google YouTube channel This makes our tags all mixed up The migration from ya to ga4 also made tracking confusing We asked for your support to help clear thing up via a short video call but got absolutely nowhere -------- We have been asking for Google ads support to help set up Google conversion tracking for Google ads for months... Despite multiple emails all we get is the same answer from India Google ads go to help centre to set it up yourself Even though they set up Google tag on our website before Now everything is all mixed up we cannot run any ads Google ads sales also rude on the phone

Absolutely awful. The instructions are unreliable and WRONG. Does NOT automatically pick up the variant SKU, even though this content is correctly added in the native MPN field of Shopify *and* in the additional custom field that Google Merchant Center added for MPN. No customization rules beyond overly simple options for title and description. Totally useless if you actually want to sell products on Merchant Center. This is yet another garbage piece of software made by Google. Literally a waste of time.

IT's now 2 Months that we've tried to use this Apps. Google Merchant still declined us with : "Account suspended due to policy violation: Misrepresentation" without helping us out to identify the problem. They send a Generic email very vague and useless to identify the issue. We were expecting a deep more and integrated solution. But sound it is not! Since the installation of this App, we've published on EBAY and AMAZON all our 600 products without any issues with another App!

Won't sync with Shopify at all. There's this transparent overly in shopify admin that prevents ticking boxes and interacting with this app. And now after reading other reviews I see that it may become even more of a nightmare if it ever does sync. After spending all night trying to get answers as to why I cant even get through the 'set up' phase of this app in shopify, and then reading about all the issues others are having, I cant trust it. With hundreds of products in my store, its too risky, especially when there is absolutely no customer support.
