UPDATE: 10 days later I had a reply back although the person didn't know what the problem was. After highlighting that to them, someone else replied which didn't appear to know either but at least quoted Sara Nyrönen (Delivery Manager) in. Sara eventually replied and was very helpful. Essentially, we created a Klarna account ourselves before Shopify coming up with its own integration. Due to the integration, I believe that a second account was created automatically behind the scenes, but Klarna couldn't detect the correct one to use. Sara shared with us the correct Merchant ID which worked right away. Hopefully this will help somebody, both help desk and customers. PS. I don't know how it works now, 6 months later, but I believe the app should have at least a clear notification about this scenario and how to address it (e.g. raise a ticket with this specific request). INITIAL REVIEW Oct 2024: Now that Shopify integrates directly with Klarna, https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/payments/shopify-payments/local-payment-methods/klarna , this app shouldn't require a Klarna account to be able to enable the on-site messaging on the product page. Without an account this is useless. :( I have contacted merchant@klarna.com three days ago without an answer.

Doesn't work anymore,everytime open it just say"An error has occurred". No app block and be added in editor and even use the code snippets" " ,just flash the blurry klarna icon then gone? Update: A few weeks ago, they contacted us to manually install the code properly using the collaboration account. One star was taken away because of the late reply.

The availability of these app blocks can be affected by the theme used by your store, as not all themes follow the default Shopify architecture. The app is good but with paypal it cause a conflict and paypal button is not showing in the cart. I know it cause a problem because i contacted shopify support and they said that klarna is causing this issue, can anyone help?

Great app. Although it has 1 (local) minor issue: the currency symbol is shown after the slided price, which isn't the default location for our currency (€). Is it possible to manually change this position? For example: Current on-site message: Betaal in 3 delen van 43,00 € Prefered on-site message: Betaal in 3 delen van € 43,00
Hello Blommo, Thanks for leaving a review on our on-site messaging app we really appreciate it. Regarding you question if it is possible to manually change the messaging, that is not possible since we have chosen to align this on all of our European markets. In most European countries the normal notation is to put the EUR sign after the price, I know that in the Netherlands this is done differently. Therefore I will put in a request to see if this can be adjusted per market.

Desperately trying to get this app to work. Been messaging support back and forth over email and going backwards with no clarity :( UPDATE: MARCH 2023 Dana from Klarna was in touch shortly after posting this review and has been amazing in going through and sorting out all issues with the app on store. I think there is unfortunately is a big difference between day to day level of support and higher level support. Klarna app now all operating smoothly as promised out of the box. Thank you Dana.

Its working pretty good. Only one big problem that i found is Ad blocker and tracking blocker. If my customer use Ad blocker then this app doesn't show at all on the website. That's why this apps is pretty much useless because now days all modern browser use Ad blocker. Can you please KLARNA fix that??
Hi Alfa-Jewelry, We hear you about the Ad blocker issue. Update (from 2023-Jan-26): discussion this with the Klarna On-site messaging team, not all Ad blockers block Klarna's On-site messaging. Could you please share the Ad blocker that is blocking Klarna's On-site messaging, and Klarna can request that not be blocked? If you open a support case via skosm@klarna.com (and reference this review) that would be the best way to hopefully see if we can improve this? Thank you!

Unfortunately my experience in installing this app mirrors that of other reviewers. I had installed it but there was a glitch. Luckily the team responded very quickly and helped me sort it out immediately. It looks great!

Hello, I received this message about my Klarna integration. See below: "The following versions of these third-party payments integrations are not compatible with Shopify’s latest checkout. They will no longer be available after July 31, 2022: Buy now, pay later with Klarna." How can I can the update to the latest integration?

Slightly hard to integrate the app into the shop by myself and instructions unclear but support was very quick to respond and get the issue solved. Great responsive customer service.

Great way to surface to customers that they can break up their payments—especially impactful for our store since our products are on the premium and pricey side. The UI was a little clunky to use, but I figured it out after some tinkering. There are good customization options built-in.

Onsite didn't work in the beginning but customer service was really fast and fixed it. Thank you! 5 star for customer service, but need to take one of from struggle in the beginning.

Placing the widget is always a little awkward but it gets the job done. The messaging that changes with order amount is nice on the cart page

Easy to install and use. A bit limited as to where you can place the ads. I am guessing because the app is new there will come more options eventually other than only the product page or cart. However, there is still a big problem with Klarna as a payment service when using Shopify: ONLY customer that are from the same country as the Shopify store can actually use the Klarna payments. It's because they have to be using the same currency as the store. So for example if someone from Norway tries to pay using Klarna in a Swedish Shopify store (that is using Swedish Krona as currency) they will not be able to complete the purchase, and instead get a message that "this payment option is not available" (without any further explanation why). This needs to be fixed. Therefore this application is just confusing customers from other countries because Klarna actually doesn't work for them... Otherwise the app itself was nice and I'm excited to see more features! 4/5.
Alternative payment gateways, like the Klarna Payments gateways, are processed using a single currency: the store's base currency. While Klarna Payments can support many currencies, the Klarna order must be in the applicable currency for the customer's address.
