Having used Klaviyo with Shopify Plus storefronts starting in 2019, I can certainly speak to both Klaviyo's current functionality and their track record of always improving. There are a few circumstances in which advanced functionality requested of me wasn't available through Klaviyo, but on the whole when working with Shopify as the storefront Klaviyo is almost more like a built-in solution than an add-on app with how tight & aligned the integration is. Advanced, store-specific asks have been possible through their developer documentation and in-house custom builds, and we're also very grateful to have a responsive, helpful CSM who advocates for our business needs when we want to innovate within the channel. No technology is perfect, but I've been able to see Klaviyo constantly improve which speaks to the tool's strength in build, support and commitment to its customers.

Klaviyo is an essential tool. I like how easy creating emails is. On the flip side, I wish you could upload larger images (mine get rejected) within the email campaigns. Also, it's a bit tricky playing with formatting inside of emails (bold, italics, keeping the font when you paste text). Lastly, the pricing feels opportunistic the second you squeak past their levels they send you a charge for more. I'm not leaving Klaviyo but I'm also not jumping for joy or telling my friends they MUST use this email software.

There is a big email Google change by Feb 1st, 2024 so various things needed to be done . This time I found the Klavyio team very responsive, sending me help info and answering my questions which was very helpful, as I am not a tecky person at all. Normally Klavyio team answers swiftly, depending how busy they are. I recommend this platform but not always super easy to use for untecky people. At first I got concrete help to set it all up because reading lots of articles of "how to" is not always easy and time consuming when you want direct, things done swiftly.

A little rocky of a start in the learning process. I think It's a great process but scheduling in time to really understand the interface is important and an investment. Would recommend for serious entrepreneurs

Take me a bit of time to learn all the features in the app, but overall, Klaviyo is a great tool for email marketing, I was able to make Pop-up Forms and create Email Flows very easily as a beginner. Highly recommended!

Its a great tool! make your life easy as soon as you create segment and export it to FB, it updates by itself, the only issue is that for me its not 5 stars yet, its that I cant integrate the segment/list to tiktok ad manager or twitter ad manager. I hope when that happen, I would like to be notify or at least be on the trial program.

Love Klavito easy to use and has what i need :) 4.5 stars out of 5 I just would love it to be more integrated to my shopify platform I don't find it as convenient because I am using 2 different platforms.

We recently switched over to Klaviyo as it seemed to be more powerful with better integrations. I'll cover both positives and negatives. The positives is that you can do a lot of things with Klaviyo and it seems better supported by other apps that cross-interact. The support team is probably the highlight of the app and is extremely well-trained and have detailed knowledge of the app which is saying a lot since it is quite a complex app and issues become quite technical. They will stay with you and match you in your diligence in finding a solution. Their replies are quick, detailed and specific to show how well they understood your issue and all the solutions related to it. No copy-and-paste templates here. The customer profiles, lists, segments are all very powerful as well. Few places where Klaviyo can improve - first the UI could use a facelift. Look at apps like postscript to see how the UI can be beautified. It just looks a bit plain. Second there shouldn't be a need for manual coding obscure things in templates with a secret handshake syntax like {% coupon_code ... %}. Because of how specific it is, we have to frequently scour forums or contact support to figure it out. Manual coding while it does give more flexibility is a bit too early 2000's. This is the age of drag-and-drop, no-coding-required. Look at something like omnisend for how these things should be possible much more simply. With these improvements it could become even better.

Update! Changing this rating from 1 star to 4 because their customer service was TOP NOTCH! Thankfully the reviews about their customer service being "non-existent" were not the case for me. I was VERY impressed with how quickly and attentive they were to my issue. I was locked out of this app with no notice. On the login page Klaviyo says they will send a code to my email, but no code every arrives. I have used Klaviyo for almost a year with no issues, but this started on 1/16/23. I just read all the one star reviews, and this seems to be a very common issue. Hoping that customer service isn't as bad as everyone says it is.

Klaviyo is a great tool for people who really really really want to spend a lot of time getting into the data weeds with their store. I used Klaviyo for nearly two years and, honestly, I never got my money's worth simply because I just didn't have the time to make it worth my while. It is, after all, pretty dang pricey if you have luck growing your list. I know, I know, if you watch reviews, there isn't a single reviewer who doesn't agree that it's the "best" email marketing app on the market ... The reality is that this tool is probably more than most small businesses need. Customer service was always helpful. Me, I'm looking for something less robust and cheaper because I never had any luck growing my email list.

Klaviyo has been fantastic growth and revenue tool for our store. Great all around product. The summer release of the email editing interface changes are the only knock to 4 stars verses 5 stars. Some aspects of the new editor interface are a step forward while several seemed rushed and not as successful and easy to use as previously.

Very nice templates. And easy with drag and drop to edit. There is a learning curve, that can take some time and effort, but they have really good academy classes to watch. I am still figuring out some of the issues in the editor itself, but I am learning.

I'm very happy with Klaviyo so far, but unfortunately, I can't find a page to leave a review on actual Shopify. I'm just so angry that some kind of liquid error showed up on my website at the top of my shop and all my customers can see it. When I reached out to Shopify they told me that I have to fix it myself and they can't help me with that. I have been told that because my web design is from a third party so I'm unable to update my store and have to build my website all over again. So when this happens again I will have to build it again and again. Is this normal? I don't think so, they should fix this problem when they want to use third-party web designs!
