When I first installed this app everything was smooth and running very well on the live website, until I ran out of " words " for automatic translation. I didn't buy any words and started to do the translation manually. Now because I don't have any words, I can't update the online store pages content from Shopify Admin Panel nor manually update to the website languages. When I reached out to support they said : You need to buy " Words " in order to keep updating your pages content or manually update the translated content. But then made me wait 48 hours so the page content can be updated, after the 48 hours passed they had not even updated a word. Pure SCAM, Low functionality with limited options and a very Bad customer Service as sometimes I swear it feels like am speaking foreign language with them not English.

I absolutely do not recommend this app! At the beginning it was fine, even if it was all messed up, and it was hard to find the texts to translate sometimes. Now we had to replace some texts, but the app doesn't store the new translations and keeps showing the old ones. The first day I lost two hours just to "prove" that there is a problem (for two hours they kept asking: send me the link, send me the screenshot of the problem, make a video where we can see the problem). 2h to save a single translated sentence! The next day I go back to editing the translations, but the problem returns - so we go back to the same pointless argument, without resolving anything. In the end they finally decide to involve the developers. The next day the developers haven't even entered the site yet. Support says they will take care of the problem ASAP! Long story short, the app doesn't work. They say the problem is "third party text". But when we first translated the site - we did it without any problems. Now that we just have to change a few sentences - suddenly everything has become "third party text" or "hard coded text" for them - impossible to overwrite the existing translation! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS APP.

I was given free credit and asked to leave a review, so here I am. App seems to work quite well, no complaints just yet. *Update* It's a bait and hook app. They give you "free" words, then make you contact customer service where they give you more "free" words in exchange for a review (although they don't explicitly say that). If you don't leave a favorable review or any review, they freeze your translation until you do. I don't know how the app works once you play their game, pay their fees and translate everything, as I saw their con a mile away. But, I know 99% of these 5 star reviews are fake. *Update2* ,Got an email from them. I'm pretty sure they are trying to cover their butts so they don't get removed from Shopify. I moved to T Lab ‑ AI Language Translate app. No games from them. I suggest it.

App is not free only 2000 words total then ask for payment, using is not as easy as other app we have used before - auto translation free option is just for 2000 first words

THE WORST APP. DONT INSTALL Dont translate anything even with a paid plan Customer service doesnt exist i waited 2 days for a widget position moving THEY WILL NEVER REFUND YOU !

At first I thought this was great. The look of it was good and easy to use. However, it ran out of words after translating just one language. I've been talking to customer service for over 15 minutes. They told me it was too expensive to give words because Google charges them (really? why is Google Translate FREE then?!). Then the translating stopped and even after they gave me more words "as a courtesy", the app broke and wouldn't let me translate. I believe they are in China so not surprised. Find another app if you're a professional business. Not sure where all of their 5 star reviews came from. ... Fake.

Lier, it will cost $2 per 10,000 words, only free for first 300k words, they only told this after you chat with them

It started well, but then they stopped answering the emails for weeks… Don't understand that and the app is not working, not translating anything and I don't know why. Not the auto-translation, not the manual translation… Anything.

I installed Etranslate app in Dec 2021, and if I rate Etranslate app 1 month ago, I will rate it 5 stars, because Etranslate app was very useful. Auto-translate worked well, also I can translate manual, and the auto-switch language based on geolocation made customers easier to view our site. Also, the support team helps me with many things in online conversation 24/7. Anything about Etranslate is perfect until 5 days ago when I need to update a new version following an App request. - the auto-switch language does not work. I emailed the support team 2 times ( 8 days and 6 days ago) but nobody replies to me. I request support in 24/7 conversation, she told me "the auto-switch language function is supported to automatically change the language according to the browser language" - not by geolocation. But I still see Etranslate's description that "Etranslate allows to auto-switch language and currency based on visitors' geolocation. Let customers shop seamlessly" on the Shopify app store. - I bought 30.000 words, but just 7 minutes later, my credit only is 10.000 words, and 2 minutes later, just is 800 words although I turn off all auto-translate. I ask in 24/7 conversation at that moment, she told me she will check Etranslate dev but nothing happened although 7 days have passed.

Inconvenient to use also seems to be not free Every time you click on the link for more credits it opens a chat window with a representative who does not quite understand what you want

The application is not worth anything, as if it translated the whole thing, and in fact, it does not translate anything, it only shows that it has translated, and then it broke the page, there is 0 contact with the support for 5 days I have been trying to contact them but to no avail

the site leaves snippets all over the page when cropping it and I have not been able to solve the problem, also the language change icon remains where it had left it after removing the app

The graphic is cool and you can customize the language selector but.. How can I translate the homepage?
Hi, the homepage can be translated in the "Theme" section, you need to check it carefully. I know it's not easy to find the phrase of the homepage in the "Theme" section. And we will add a search & filter feature a few days later(3-5 days). This app is free, I hope we can get some more positive reviews, which will motivate us to invest more resources to improve the application. Updates: we have launched the Filter&Search feature. So you can find the resource you need much easier than before.

I do not recommend it at all! They installed malware on my website and it was not easy to clean. I found out because of google ads warning. I do not know if it is the responsibility of the app or who but it has given me problems.
Update: The malware issue is a false positive of Google ads for our language selector. We have updated our Translation selector. Now you need to add the code to your theme to enable this feature. So there won't any malware/adware issues anymore because the language selector will be considered as a native plugin, not third-party software.
