Solid application, great customer service. Ken reached out to me and asked questions to fully grasp what I was looking to accomplish and has been helpful in getting there. Keep it up, customer service is crucial during these times.

EDIT TO PREVIOUS REVIEW. The developer has come back to me, explained their pricing structure. A heads up that if you want to pay what you feel comfortable with, you have to email, there's no option to click on it. I am hoping that as we use this, our trust in Locksmith after a rocky start will come back and there will be no more blips in the system. ----------- We came to the end of the trial and told that i'd need to pay $99/ month. i only use this for one customer but because i have the advanced shopify plan it means i don't get to pay the $9/month, instead it's $99. I don't understand the jump in price. I emailed support but my whole website was shut down because locksmith wasn't being paid. i started getting emails and calls from customers as to why they couldn't order. i have never had an app stop all trade on my website. I have now paid the additional money because i couldn't afford to wait for support to reply to me. i dont know how many orders i could have lost out on.

❤️ There are two important pieces here, from our end. First: our pricing policy is "pay what feels good". We work really hard, in many places, to communicate this. The wires were crossed, and that message never came through. If someone's paying for Locksmith, the intent is for it to always be a number that all parties genuinely feel good about. The $99/mo figure, as documented in the "Pricing" section of our app store listing, is a suggestion based on the store's Shopify plan. But it is a suggestion only, and per the policy (lightward.com/pricing), we're always here for that what-price-feels-good conversation. Second: this situation revealed a bug, in which some suspended Locksmith accounts had their entire storefront frozen instead of *just* the content that had been locked. We send out multiple heads-up-your-trial-is-ending emails, and automatically give a 5-day grace period before suspending accounts – but when accounts *are* suspended, the intent is to *only* suspend access to the content that was locked. We absolutely never intended to lock your entire storefront. That's a huge error, for which I just pushed out a fix. It won't happen again. To the reviewer, personally: I absolutely understand the frustration of having a service yanked out from under you, and of having to pay an unexpectedly high amount just to restore that service. That kind of situation is absurd; I get it. Please know that this experience is the actual opposite of what we've worked hard to create. ❤️ Thank you for letting us know how this went for you; your experience here matters a ton to me. If you want to keep using Locksmith, we're here, to establish a new price that *does* feel good to you, and also to make sure that the erroneous locking of your storefront *cannot* happen again. I searched high and low for a way to make certain products unavailable based on the location of the customer, as for some reason that is not an option in Shopify. Locksmith does just that and it does it perfectly. It also makes it possible to basically create a wholesale section without the use of a dedicated app (so building one with Locksmith is a lot cheaper. Speaking of price, it's very reasonably priced. Customer service is a dream as well, I need a product page to be visible but not shoppable for certain customers and Ken miraculously made that happen, thank you so much Ken! Can't recommend this app enough!

We've been using this app to lock certain collections in our store, so that we can offer discounted prices to logged in customers only at certain times/on certain days. The app is extremely easy to use, the locks work perfectly and the explanations on how to use them are clear.

We have used this app for our digitally launched products, and it is fantastic. It provides a variety of different options to help us protect our resources. It is user friendly, and we have received excellent customer service. I would highly recommend this app. I know you will find the features applicable to your needs. Don't think twice. Get this app!

Works well with lots of options for different scenarios. Can be complex to set up but if you have a question, a real person will respond to you very quickly with good advice. It's expensive considering that basic locking features should come with every Shopify plan, in my opinion. The search tool to start a new lock can be very slow, to the point where it freezes completely. Apparently this is a problem on Shopify's end, but I wish that there was a way to filter before beginning a search; such as, search only products (or collections) for the term ___. I also wish you could lock tags. All that said, we've been using the app for over a year now with no problems.

I use this app to send password protected links to customers so they can order custom items or products that we don't want anyone browsing the website to see. It's simple, intuitive and it works smoothly and accurately, with fast customer service. The only thing that would be a nice extra feature would be the ability to search for locks that have been created rather than having to scroll through alphabetically to find the one you want.

At first, I thought this was a great app, but I had trouble with configuring effective locks, after significant trial and error, not only by myself but my colleagues. The only way to seek help from Locksmith was to email the developer. I did that twice and never received a reply. I'm on a 15-day free trial, and unless I get some support that is effective and timely, I will seek a different app. EasyLockdown seems to get strong reviews.

I get that it's frustrating to have an emergent situation, in which you need help on a tight timeline. We only received one of the two emails you mentioned in your review. The email came in at 11:12am today (local), about a launch scheduled for 1pm. We were able to get back to you at 3:04pm, two hours after the launch, and just under four hours after your initial email. An excellent app, backed up by top notch customer service. The locks are easy to set up and if you've got an issue it gets resolved by a human being extremely quickly (even, in our experience, if that issue isn't really Locksmiths remit - eg CSS edits). Unbeatable value and a pleasure to deal with the team.

This app has failed at all levels. After about 2 weeks with this app and with support (which is just, meh) I am finding that this app literally does the opposite of what it is supposed to. Fist the support. There is support, but it takes a day or two to get back to you, even once you get started. I have been going back and forth with them because the items I needed to be hidden were hidden even after tagged from everyone. I was talking about in a search, not by just scrolling through the products. So when support told me that they were coming up by scrolling through the products I tested it and sure enough, there they were. But again, not when using the search. So then I opened up a separate browser and logged out and tested again that they would NOT show up, and there they were. So they don't populate in a search, which is what I need if the customer is logged in with the correct tag. And the items come up for all to see with no tag if they just scroll through the inventory. Now if they click on it it will prompt them to log in, however, there is my wholesale pricing for all to see. The reason for the second star is because they do have support. *Update* Removed second star because the support, even though it exists, is not that great. I ended up uninstalling the app.

I love this app! It works just as it's supposed to (hides products that I don't want available on my store page) without negatively affecting my SEO. The guys at this company are very friendly and professional, helping me to get the app to work just how I'd like it to. Would highly recommend!

I've been using Locksmith for at least 3+ years and it is a ROCK SOLID solution! It gives us the effortless capability to password protect tutorial pages of our site, and even a protection at the front end. I love that it offers many different kinds of locks - and combinations. The service from the developer has been exceptional. Same day response every time - caring service with step by step solutions from Jed the last time. Locksmith is a five star very elegant solution, flawlessly executed - I give it my highest recommendation.

We use Locksmith to provide a closed staff-only shop for our team. We have implemented a simple lock that allows only users with pre created Accounts tagged with access to connect. In addition it also limits by geo-location - we only want staff in one country to connect. If you READ the licencing policy correctly you will see that they have a fair policy. In our case we have a tiny number of customers, but need the bigger Shopify plan as we have a pool of people who sometimes look after Shopify. So we have been able to mix and match the pricing as we need. If we were running a higher volume store, we would accept paying more as the whole Shopify ecosystem is waaaaaaay cheaper than building a custom site from scratch!

It is so useful for us where we need products hidden from the store and from search results, but still possible to be access via certain methods! Locksmith is an integral part of our business.
