Numeral Sales Tax

I would give zero stars if I could. They filed late, filed the incorrect amount, took zero accountability, and then disappeared. I was so excited for this service, because filing sales tax is such a massive pain to deal with as a business owner. But they didn't file my taxes on time, and when they finally did file, it was over a month late and the penalties and interests had piled up. They didn't bother to check what actual amount was due, and instead filed the inaccurate amount from the month before, leaving me with even more penalties and interest. Christian said he would ask his manager about getting the penalties refundedd, and then ghosted me. To date I have not heard a proper response from them, a refund for the penalties, or any follow up at all. It's impossible to get support in a timely manner, and when they do respond, it's to give a runaround answer and then never follow through. I am now in the process of deregistering Numeral from my tax account with the state of CA which is also a huge pain. I'm a business owner, and totally understand that things go wrong sometimes! We are all human and make mistakes. I had so much grace for the constant problems, but at this point it's just not good business to stay with this company. They don't care about your experience as a customer, or about the legal ramifications of making a mistake with your taxes. Find a different app and save yourself the headache!

I tried for two months to setup this app. We had numerous prone conversations. I gave them full admin rights on the store. To no avail. It does not work. I am late with filling the sales tax and I will have to pay penalties. Thanks to Numeral.

Exceptional service for a good price. I;ve been uising Numeral for 3+ years. Their app makes things easy to transfer data. all i have to do each month is approve the filings and pay the fees. support is great and the team is knowledgeable. seriously there isnt a better sales tax option out there.

Numeral is a scam. I signed up in August to find out in January of this year that they had not filed my taxes even for the state I reside in for over 4 months. They will bill you large amounts to "file," but when my CPA looked into it when reconciling EOY it turns out that they had not filed anything for months. They also could not provide me with any reporting log of what they did with account confirmations. Honestly, Numeral should not be allowed to be an app on the Shopify app store at this point.

We are so grateful for Numeral. Sales tax is unbelievably difficult to manage, and Numeral automates the process while keeping me in the loop. It feels so good knowing that they are monitoring our economic nexus, updating our Shopify tax collection settings, and filing on our behalf. Just keep in mind that you still have to review your settings and monitor for changes in physical nexus that Numeral might not be aware of.
