Privy ‑ Email, SMS & Pop Ups
All reviews
I've given a mid range for everything because I'm asked to review the app while I'm setting it up, once I've actually used I'll leave another review..
It would be higher except you immediately pestered me with a nonstop pop-up asking for the review. The back side crashed constantly and was super slow. But the pop up is working and very pretty.
i am still installing - shouldn't you wait politely until it starts working.. just saying
The free app works great, but it also dumps a ton of advertising tags on your site. I've seen other people complain about this too. Privy claims the tags are for tracking customers with more advanced features beyond the free email capture pop-up. That makes sense, but it's something they should let you opt into knowing you may want the historical data later. They should at least be more transparent about it. I have no idea what partners they are sharing it with or how the data is being used. I'm going to uninstall and switch over to a free Mailchimp pop-up while I research alternatives. It doesn't look as pretty or have exit intent triggering, but I won't have to worry about what it's loading on my site. Again, the app works great and the analytics dashboard is helpful, but know they are also tracking your customers using other advertising products.
Just installed, Havent really used yet. I will adjust my review after some use.
I probably need to learn more about this app - have been frustrated customizing the look of content for campaigns. I'm only reviewing now because I get prompted every time to review, even though I'm still figuring it out!
This app is fine, it works for our current needs.
I Don't know yet, it seems easy but , not very clear on what to do?
Just started using it. Not sure how it will work. Semi - easy to use.
Not too hard to use. The free-ness is a little deceptive, but it works as designed
Difficult to set up. POP up not working
The popup is not showing up after being installed.
so far so good, we shall see after I finish
To intense on the Review pop up
Just downloaded the app and haven't seen it in action yet. So far am interested in the options the app seems to give us for popups.
Very simple way to get started. Some of the 'Design' functions that are quite simple are buggy and glitchy.
There wasn't an onboarding tutorial, so I was unsure of where my subscriptions would be kept, whether I could link to my MailChimp. Otherwise, handy.
Really giving this review because I was tired of the pop up telling me you wanted a review.
Not many features available with FREE version & the PAID plans are cost-prohibitive for small businesses.
I was torn between a 3 and 4 star review because the app itself is very easy to use and works well. My complaints are control around customizing the user experience. On mobile, I have painfully watched recordings of customers trying in vain to click the little x to close the window. Sometimes I think they get so frustrated that they leave. There should be an option to allow click-out close on mobile. Like they should be able to click outside of the window for it to close. Also a custom size on mobile would be great - like just a banner instead of a whole popup. I know there are work-arounds, but they're not ideal. Overall, I would still recommend this app. It is free, after all, and collects emails quite well. I just think there is a bit of room for improvement.
