Boost AI Search & Filter

After years of using the app they want to add a $122 monthly fee to by bill with no explanation. Three time i have connected with live chat support to ask about the increase and all three time no one could give me an answer. They want to try and up sell me on there new GMV plans that take a % of revenue. Crazy business model to treat existing customers this way after years of subscription. Ask for a manger and the chat agent goes offline with a message they will be back tomorrow and to check my email for and email that never comes.

The team at Boost is extremely helpful, it can be a little tricky trying to get features to work (for us it's because we have a super custom theme) but the boost team is always quick and responsive to jump in and help out with whatever we need!

Great app and even better customer service! We’ve been very happy with Boost and, in particular, the level of support provided by their team. Harry and his colleagues were excellent in helping us resolve a translation issue we were experiencing with the app. They were responsive, knowledgeable and took the time to investigate the problem properly until it was resolved. Fantastic app and the support staff are amazing. We had an issue with our filters on the website that prevented products loading. The support staff (Ryan and Jayson) recognized the urgency and had everything fixed within 30 minutes. Fantastic service.

Joseph in support went above and beyond helping me today. I could not be more impressed with the speed of the responses and the actual fixes. We have a custom site and there was an issue occurring on our end that was causing a problem for us with our back button. People kept getting sent back to page 1 when they were on page 4 or 5 and clicked on a product within. Joseph was a real hero and went beyond all expectations to provide a permanent fix. I recommend boost for it's ease of use , and features that covers revery Merchandizer's need , they have a great support team and very collaborative, I'm using it for optimization , search , recommendations , filters & Bundles and I'm happy with all features The tool is handy, reliable and provides accurate Analytics.

Update August 2026 (shocking news) Deception and scams – you’re made invisible if you don’t pay enough, and you’re told that if you want to be visible, you have to buy a certain feature. Meanwhile, the app takes your products offline from Google! Following an in-depth SEO audit, it appears that the app takes parts of your product and collection pages offline for google. This means that deep within the code, it is specified that page elements such as the product description, title and meta descriptions are not visible when the website is crawled. In our code, we’ve found that this is only disabled if you don’t pay for that part of the app. It’s no surprise that you’ll see SEO growth, because then they reverse the code and display all products again. Our competitors were visible for over 21,000 keywords, whereas because of this little trick, we were only visible for just 1,000. Since the SEO tool was rolled out with this code, you’ve seen a drop in organic traffic. We only used the filter function... I not only find this reprehensible, but it’s pure deception designed to push you to upgrade to a more expensive plan so that you do become visible. Because then your products aren’t held hostage. Since the app was taken down (and these code elements manually removed!!), we’ve seen significant growth in organic traffic, which is still increasing every week. Thanks to our long domain history, we’ll gradually recover from this, but younger domains won’t be able to overcome such issues. Never install this app if you want to be findable on Google at all. ------------------ Summary: Be careful with this app! Unexpected costs, price hikes from 60 to 299 dollars, a lack of transparency, and they withhold features if you don’t upgrade straight away. It’s shocking how these developers treat online shops. We’ve been using this app for quite a few years now, for our filters amongst other things. As the app’s features expanded, so did the price – even though we didn’t actually need all those features. Fair enough, as long as it works. Last month, we received an email stating that the price of our plan would be increased by 30 per cent (from $60 to over $90). Not great, but okay. This charge had already been taken. If you look at the pricing, it’s very unclear what the product limit actually is. Yet they’d decided that we’d ‘suddenly’ exceeded the limit. Support were initially vague about it. They demanded that we switch to a plan that was three times as expensive. From $60, to $90+, to $299. We weren’t given a transition period and all our filters were disabled. Nothing worked for website visitors anymore. We’ve switched to Shopify’s own FREE Search & Discovery for the filter functions, which works just as well. Think twice before installing this app. If they think your shop is doing too well, they’ll suddenly raise the price using vague excuses. After much insistence, they claimed we’d exceeded the limit with 6,000+ products. We certainly don’t add that many new products in a single month. Their business practices are therefore more than a bit dodgy.

Great app with some amazing features. Boost is a platform you can make your own allowing you to add more subscriptions as you grow your business. The support you also receive is amazing, the ai bot gives you alot of insight but you still have the opportunity to speak to the support team who will do anything to help resolve or answer a query.

We've been using this app for quite a while and we're very happy with it. Recently we tried to use another app to help our site speed and it interfered with how the Boost AI app was functioning. Boost AI Search & Discovery helps us organise a very large catalogue of craft products. We have thousands of products across many different brands and categories, so effective search and filtering are essential. It makes it much easier for customers to find exactly what they're looking for by filtering products by brand, theme, colour, range, and other attributes. This significantly improves navigation and the overall shopping experience. As someone who regularly manages collections and product categories, I also appreciate how flexible the filtering system is. It allows us to create a much better browsing experience for our customers, and whenever we've needed help understanding the configuration or troubleshooting an issue, the support team has been excellent.
