MyWorks Sync for QuickBooks

Myworks does a great job. I have used several point of sale systems that all post sales to a general journal which is a complete nightmare to match up sales and reconcile the books. I was reluctant to switch to Shopify because their native integration with QBO is the same general journal nightmare. Then I found Myworks and it does exactly what I needed and creates actual sales transactions perfectly. I would not have switch to Shopify without Myworks. The Stockroom app also works very well, there are some changes that I would make but they are receptive and want to make changes that make the product better.

Great fix for Shopify to QuickBooks invoices I’d been having problems since Shopify changed over from the previous QuickBooks integration. The old version worked fine for us, but after the change our Shopify orders were being sent into QuickBooks as Sales Receipts instead of Invoices, which wasn’t what we needed. We installed MyWorks QuickBooks Sync and I can confirm it has solved the problem. Our Shopify orders now come across correctly as Invoices, with the payments applied against them. Once set up, it’s very easy to use and just gets on with the job in the background. I also have to mention the support, which has been very good. David in particular was extremely helpful when I had one or two technical questions during setup and helped me get everything working as it should. If you’ve come across the same problem since Shopify changed its QuickBooks integration, especially if your orders are now creating Sales Receipts rather than Invoices, this app is the fix. It works, it’s straightforward to use, and the support is excellent. Very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely awesome, This has cut our paperwork down a ton! If you need a certain feature or something tweaked the DEV team is on it. They have personally introduced features at our request in days, and even more complicated things were done in a month! I have never worked with a more responsive software company.

The initial onboarding and setup call went well, but once we started using the app, we encountered several issues. It took almost two days to receive a response to our support emails, so I scheduled another call for help. I later learned those calls are intended only for initial setup, but a support representative agreed to help with our three issues. Unfortunately, during the troubleshooting, I was trying to understand an issue that occurred, but instead of listening, the representative became angry, raised his voice at me, and abruptly ended the call in an unprofessional manner before our remaining issues were resolved. It was a very hurtful and disappointing customer service experience. As of today, no one from the company has followed up, apologized for what happened, or reached out to help resolve the remaining issues. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this app.

MyWorks was one of the only affordable apps that would allow us to set up our sync to report only upon order fulfillment from Shopify. That alone is a basic part of our business and it was very frustrating that a solution to the reporting was so elusive. Enter MyWorks! I have been extremely happy with the app and was beyond thrilled in May when they released the option to sync daily journal entries as opposed to individual sales receipts or invoices. It is the perfect balance between enough and too much info flowing through our various systems. The initial set up and mapping was quite easy and I got a very quick response on the few items I needed assistance on.

MyWorks has been such a great tool to integrate our Shopify to QuickBooks Online. They are also very quick to respond and help with any support issues you need. I would definitely recommend MyWorks to anyone that is considering using this App.

We have been quite happy with using MyWorks to sync our shopify product sales into our QBO and syncing changes from QBO into Shopify. It has made such a difference having it automated. If you use Shopify Plus with QuickBooks, this app is among the best for synchronization. It offers extensive customization options and simplifies the process of separating customer orders in QuickBooks.

MyWorks has been a lifesaver when it comes to importing ALL data from Shopify into Quickbooks Online. They respond quickly to email support requests, their customer service team is knowledgeable and always willing to tackle the issue, no matter if it pertains to sales tax sync, purchase orders entered on a third party app, or partial return receipts straight from Shopify. If something does not sync correctly, they have been very helpful in getting the issue resolved in a timely manner. Definitely recommend over "free" apps that end up costing time!

We looked at going zapier and other connectors but this has so many built in features that this is a best cost savings than all the other connectors we have looked at. Setup is fairly straight forward, but the service team is right there to help answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend you give this app a try.

Edit - I'm happy to report that MyWorks has now been responsive to my request for help. Not everything is working as desired, but they appear to be reengaged in determining how to fix the issues. MyWorks does save us time by syncing data between our Shopify store and QBO. However, it's now costing me hours of additional time required to edit QBO payments when MyWorks resyncs orders to QBO when we fulfill them within Shopify. Specifically, MyWorks resync is deducting the card processing fee from the payment amount when it sends the information to QBO again. These invoices were previously synced as paid in full in QBO and now show due for the amount of the processing fee. I've asked multiple times over the past week for help on this issue as the number of invoices affected has increased, with no response.

The MyWorks support team was amazing in helping us resolve an issue with an order not syncing to Quickbooks. Cristina O responded quickly, provided clear and easy to follow instructions, made sure everything was fully resolved before closing things out. Excellent service and support, Thank You!

Had a few hiccups on my end with synching. They responded to my emails in a very timeley manner. All issues were solved the same day! Excellent customer service!!

After spending several days testing two other integration apps, this was the first solution that worked properly for our Shopify to QuickBooks Online setup. The integration was straightforward to configure, and key areas like tax mapping, discounts, and order-level behavior were easy to understand and control. Taxes mapped cleanly into QBO, discounts posted correctly at the order level, and transactions flowed through exactly as expected. Inventory and product data also sync cleanly and can be scheduled as frequently as needed. Their support team was also excellent—knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. When questions came up during setup, I typically heard back within a couple of hours with clear, actionable guidance. Once enabled, the automations were reliable and required very little ongoing management.

We battled with the QuickBooks free integration for Shopify for years, having to manually fix issues on a daily basis and add compensating controls to handle integration errors and omissions. We worked with, and tested several paid solutions, without success due to us being in Canada and collecting/remitting sales tax/VAT internationally which no application/vendor could handle. MyWorks and the MyWorks team are incredible. In a relatively short period of time, we have full integration working between Shopify and QBO. Not only is it handling multi-currency, it is also handling the sales tax/VAT perfectly. So yes, the product is awesome! But very importantly, the support we have received over the past month has been nothing less than amazing. The responsiveness of the MyWorks team is the best I have experienced ever. :)
