Honestly a life saver, we sell to grocery stores so I just buy my own UPCs online instead of letting the app generate their own. I just wish there was an option to print the barcodes of an entire order instead of having to go into the app every time and hand select what the order calls for, since I sell products on demand per order. I have been trying to get this feature added, please contact me, it would be game changing.

Hello, Thank you for your excellent Retail Barcode Labels app – I really like the concept and would love to use the app regularly! Unfortunately, I’m unable to purchase any of the label types currently supported in the app. I kindly ask if you could add support for the following label format: Avery Zweckform L4737REV-25 Label size: 63.5 x 29.6 mm Layout: 3 columns × 9 rows (27 labels per A4 sheet) Official template download: https://www.avery-zweckform.com/vorlage-l4737 Since this is the only label type I’m able to use, it would be extremely helpful if it could be added directly in the app – or if you could alternatively provide a compatible layout template. I would be very happy to use your app regularly if this label type were supported. Thank you in advance for your help! Best regards, Sam

Edited to add: yes that is what I said in my original review ->When using the app to create barcodes for items without a barcode, the system duplicates barcodes for several variants. We now have to recode and reprint. Not sure of the purpose of using a generator if we have to manually search for duplicates. It doesn’t work properly. I have had the issue with several different products.

When generating barcodes in the Retail Barcode Labels app you have several options to choose from; to create barcodes for all or specific products, to generate barcodes only for products without barcodes, or to replace existing barcodes with new ones. To avoid duplicates, we would advise making sure that you are definitely selecting the option to create barcodes only for products or variants that don't have barcodes yet. Good app but it is diabolical to force users out of child/variation back to parent page in order to then access the barcode app. Bring this to the "more actions..." menu on each individual child. Thank you!

great app it was working very nicely from past 4 months, all of asudden yesterday there is no back button to go back after we printed labels on print preview page. tried everything , but still not working, please help

I really like this product. However, one thing has been bothering me. When you select a product, it only shows the variants, not the SKU. This makes it difficult to select the SKU. Hope this can be improved.

Everything has worked fine until now, but for about a week the barcode generation page has not been updating to the “barcodes created” state. This makes the app harder and slower to use. What could be causing this bug?

Impossible to create a custom label, so you have to use one of the provided settings / eventually change your printer of labels...

Very difficult to print label. Way too many clicks and now latest update has made it even more difficult to print or find out how to print lables using Zebra printer.

The app doesn't sync well at all. I'll generate bar codes, select them for printing, only for them to disappear, show up as duplicates, etc. which interrupts our workflow regularly. In addition, not sure if this is the fault of this app or Shopify in general - we have a lot of barcodes that will disappear or overwrite with a new barcode seemingly randomly, making ringing up items in our onsite location extremely time-consuming. It also really affects our ability to keep track of inventory accurately. Edit: None of the solutions offered by support (which is just AI) work, while the errors persist. Is there any way that we can send tickets to Shopify support, so that these errors can actually be worked on and fixed, instead of just blaming the user every time barcodes disappear, are overwritten, don't work, print out $0.00 etc.? Or are these issues part of the app? This is incredibly frustrating to deal with and makes Shopify borderline useless for on-site retail operations. We are looking into POSes with better support.

Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! It would be unexpected that barcodes would disappear or show up as duplicates. However, it is possible that existing ones could be overwritten if the *Replace any existing barcodes with new ones. If a product or variant doesn’t have a barcode yet, create a new barcode* setting is selected in the *Create barcodes for products* dialog box options. I love this app and it would be 5 stars from me if it had just a bit more functionality. I would like to be able to add more product info to the label (why not any product field?) and have more flexibility in the layout of the label design. Really hoping some updates are in the pipeline. Please?

Excellent product but one major floor. Even through the brother printer 810 is listed on the Shopify Hardware store as a supported printer, you are unable to get a compatible size label which works with the printer. Response, do it manually, or buy another printer, a one different to the one sold in the Shopify Hardware Store!!!!! This is almost discrimrty against people in australia and selling the printer is misleading. How hard is it to add another label size? Hope this gets sorted but guessing it will not, as any issues seem to be ignored. Would love to type more but have to go off and start creating all my labels manually so don't have time to type any more. To add a response the the comment from Shopify. The model you have listed below takes the same labels as the model I have posted. I will be exstatic if you can tell me which 'Product Label', not shipping label, that can be bought in Australia, that will work in the printer and be compatable with this software. I have replied to your email but no response! Thank you again.

The Brother 810 printer model is not listed as supported with the RBL app - please see that list here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/hardware/barcode-printer - and I'm only able to see the Brother QL Wifi Label Printer (QL-1110NWB) printer model as supported and sold in the Australian Shopify Hardware store. If you did purchase that printer from Shopify and were later told it was not supported, we can definitely investigate further for you. Hi there! Thank you for reaching out! The Retail Barcode Labels app itself does not provide a direct setting to increase the font size on barcode labels. However, you can customize the label templates within the app to adjust the layout and the information displayed. For more advanced customization, including font size adjustments, you might consider using a Dymo printer with Dymo Label software to print the labels, as this allows detailed design and that may include resizing of label elements including barcodes and text. We would advise confirming with Dymo directly to see if what you need is possible before doing so as they are best placed to confirm. Or you could use a third party barcode label printing app which offers that option.
