This app and service has been an amazing tool for both my clients and boutique. They have helped take the anxiety away from carrier issues away and know that Route will be there to step in if needed. The insurance is affordable for the customer and the customer service is responsive and claim process is easy to use. Highly recommend!

Trust me, if you were looking for shipping insurance, you want Route. With the increasing problem of package theft after delivery, we were suffering from long and difficult calls with customers and carriers, and were never feeling like the outcome was ideal. Route Shipping Insurance puts the decision to protect your package in the hands of the customer, so they are able to add insurance at the point of checkout for a low fee, and also see that if they opt out, we do not cover that loss. Sales and Support teams at Route are phenomenal and very responsive. It took minutes to integrate and from that moment we've been feeling secure in our deliveries and our ability to serve our customers better than ever in the case of lost/stolen/broken packages.

This is the app everyone needs; no joke. Insuring orders was what I had always needed and voluntary insurance was NOT the way to go. State Farm, All State would not insure any packages and the only way to feel secure sending USPS was to send registered mail which is a hassle. Insert the Route App. On average my store will charge my customers $0.98 per transaction ($50 purchase) to guarantee delivery to their doorstep. If its not delivered, if its lost or if its damaged they get a refund, a re order or store credit. Along with the technology the customer service is second to none. Installed the app on a Saturday and needed help implementing and was greeted by several emails saying they "had it covered Monday". Monday rolled along and at 5am eastern I was ready to go along with a phone call saying thank you for the download. To say this solution is a big help is an understatement. Very easy to set up and operate, they handle customer service for claims (unless you'd prefer to do it in-house), and they handle replacement ordering. The insurance is flowthrough, so cost-neutral to merchants and covers full value of order for loss, damage, or theft. Would definitely recommend for porch pirate-y US market.

THE BEST insurance option I have used, ever! So happy I am able to offer this to my clients. For just a minimal fee, their entire order is insured. As a small business, I can’t stress how helpful their service has been. Installation was a bit over my head, as I am not tech savvy. No problem, within a few days, Route admin had fully installed their app into my site. Now here comes the best part; they actually follow through & back up their guarantee! Unfortunately, in the past, I have had other insurance providers fight any claim I’ve ever made, with a lengthy difficult process, and generally little to no reimbursement. I recently had a package get lost in the mail. After confirming with USPS, I filed a claim with Route. Within 12 hours, it had been resolved, start to finish! The easiest and best thing we could have done for our site. Gone are the days of having to deal with the touchy verification of customer insurance claims. Route was up and running on our site within 48 hours. Since implementing, Route has improved our conversion rates, while providing our customers (especially those overseas) with a greater sense of purchasing confidence.

Route is a total game changer. It alleviates calls and emails for our customer service team, which frees them up to focus on other customer issues. The fact that it’s free and easy to get installed and set up only adds to the value. Since we ship food products we can’t accept product back for resale so Route has turned sunk costs into additional sales. App installation was easy. Customers seem comfortable paying the small additional fee and the first customer claim was dealt with quickly and effectively. I would love to see it added as a service fee or shipping fee instead of an additional item in the cart, but that seems to be a Shopify restriction that they are working through. Overall, a very worthwhile app.

Simple and painless integration into our Shopify store. Implemented at the same time as we were running new product launches, so I can't say for sure what the impact has been on sales... but I have a hunch it's been good. Nice that our customers can have that extra peace of mind and the team at Route has been responsive and professional. Would recommend it, especially if you have a high percentage of website visitors that are new to your brand.

The set-up took no time at all! We had our first customer using it later that day. I like that our customers have this added protection, and it means we aren't out of pocket should anything go awry, in fact we might even make more through resent orders.

I've heard good reviews about this app so wanted to download it to my store. There was a glitch downloading and getting my account set up. I contacted Route and they walked me through it. Very helpful and great customer service!

Route has been a game-changer. There is nothing worse than receiving complaints about damaged products and Route has lifted that off or our shoulders. I was skeptical at first, but was reassured to find that they treat my customers with the same "white glove" service that I strive for. They were helpful and friendly in setting everything up and it has been an easy addition to our store. I only wish I had found out about their service earlier. Highly recommended even if you have have a small damage rate.
