Should not need availability as an extra filter! If you go to a collection page and filter products like clothes by size, ONLY products in stock should show. Adding an extra availability filter just adds confusion and is very bad UX. OK if you want to show out of stock products this could be a backend option, but as standard the app should only filter in stock items.
Hi there; you can now control the display of out of stock product variants from the app's settings :) In the Settings screen, there is an "Out of stock products" section where you can choose to not show items in search results, which also applies to filtered views. You can find more information in the Help Center documentation https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/search-and-discovery/search#search-result-types
It doesn't even load any more after the recent updates!! What is wrong? It used to work well. Now I cannot even open the app page! I uninstalled and installed again to no avail.
Doesn't work for me. Impossible to create a new filter. I try to modify a old filter but it's doesn't work
Hi there, the majority of filter display issues are because the Online Store theme template is improperly coded or modified. We recommend contacting your theme's developer, or with any apps that make changes to your collections or search pages. You can check if it's a theme issue by installing a new version of the Dawn theme (or any free theme) and using the preview/customize feature to see if filters are working as expected. If they do display, that confirms the issue is with the theme code of your published theme, or some app changes. If the issue exists on a new installation of Dawn, feel free to contact Shopify's Support lines. Cheers!
not able to make the search results page consistent with the rest of the pages so I uninstalled it but the search bar is still there. Can't get rid of it
Hi there, the Search & Discovery app does not make any design changes to your store or control the placement of your search bar. The app allows you to change the native behaviour of Shopify's search, but your published theme controls what your shoppers see. We recommend contacting your theme's developer for the issues you're having with your search page. All the best!
This app only works on certain Shopify Themes, I worked for over three weeks to add the details for all my products ONLY to find my Shopify Theme does not support adding complementary products :-(
The app is able to change the native search and product recommendations of Shopify, but that does require your Online Store theme to be using these native features. We recommend contacting your theme's developer about these missing features, or checking if they are already available in a more recent version of your theme. All Online Store 2.0 themes from our Theme Store have adopted these features, so you can preview them there.
i want add item in menu filter, adding not available! i want add item in menu filter, adding not available!
Thanks for your feedback, you can add custom filters using metafields. See this help center page for more details on editing filters: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/search-and-discovery/filters#edit-filters
This app will not show the filter options on any search that returns more than 1000 items and will not be displayed on any collection page that has more than 10,000 items. For us this means that most of our big categories can't be searched up by their simple term and get filtering, and our "all products" page will never get filter options because we have categories with several thousand items and we have almost 20,000 item entries in general. The prospect of this app is great because it finally allows customers to filter by stock status and it may work fine for boutique shops that sell a dozen items or so but the inconsistency for bigger inventory shops sucks and Shopify putting seemingly arbitrary limits on when it will function is obnoxious! The filter needs to be extended to work for all results and for all products. If the page can display it or the search can show the result, the filter menu needs to function too. UPDATE: Upon further investigation it turns out the limit on the number of products per collection is 5000, not 10,000, so yeah, it's even worse, losing 1 more star Shopify. I contacted them and basically was given the standard "that's how it is, we'll tell someone about your problem and then promptly do nothing about it" response. I got a reply essentially saying it was a hard limit of the app and they weren't going to do anything about it. if you have large inventories, DO NOT use this app, it's garbage.
extremely bad app. The gui or design for the filters is horrid. Not only is the options limited, it looks bad too
Not even worth one star at all. This app needs way more functions - its totally useless like this. For example you activate filter by "tags". You can not even edit the filter headline and there are ALL tags displayed in the filter you use on all products. That simply makes no sense at all.
Thank you for your review. Product tag filters are available to all stores as 'default filters' and can be renamed from the language editor of your online store, you can find more information on renaming default filters here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/search-and-discovery/filters. If you do not want to show all the product tags linked to your products as filter options, we recommend filtering by product metafields which you can customize for your store.
Filters are not working. Search is also not working. No support from team. After adding this app, my website search functionality NOT working.
Thank you for the feedback. The issue with products not showing in search results on your store appears to be resolved.
The idea of using meta-tags instead of actual tags is ridiculous. We’ve been using “tags” this whole time and now you guys changed it and it’s a huge step back for a lot of us And ridiculously time-consuming for a lot of us that have to make our products and we don’t have time to sit here and do the same thing twice. What upsets me the most is that I literally bought a theme years ago specifically for its filtering and now it doesn’t even work anymore due to this update. As someone who makes & sells clothing I have to add a color variant to each item for it to filter out in colors even if I only sell one color of that product. Huge thumbs down, absolute waste of time and it’s frustrating that I can’t even get filters to work in my online store like they used to without spending hours redoing some thing I already did.
Los productos tienen un precio de miles de pesos, pero la app me toma el "." como una "," entonces lo que vale veinticuatromil pesos, lo muestra como veinticuatro. Hay solucion??
My website is not able to search for any products. I think this app is not working for any website.
This messed up my previous filters, This is a huge step back for me. Very disappointed. Not sure how even to fix this.
Hi, thank you for your feedback. Storefront filter settings have moved to the Shopify Search & Discovery app. If you have previously customized your filter settings, we have pre-installed the Shopify Search & Discovery app for you, so you can continue to make edits. There have been no changes to your previous setting, and your store’s performance will not be impacted by the installation of the app. For filters to display on your Storefront, your theme needs to support the feature.
Hi, I am having trouble with this new app because it without asking for the permissions, substitute the previous I have chosen to manage the filters that are no more active on my Shopify store. Now I could also try to use this new free app, but I wouyld like to have access to the filter management control panel as in the previous app. Could you please send me some instruction to do it and reactivate the filters or ctreate new one? Lastly, can this app work with Shopify prestige theme? Thank you in advance

This app is absolute garbage. Filtering by tags worked just fine before and now they want to use only metadata fields which don't even work properly. Also the app menu hardly loads. This was an absolutely terrible change.
Hi, thank you for your feedback. The new filter settings launched prior to this app, with the launch of this app it transitioned to a different location. There has been no explicit change to filtering by tags. Supporting filtering by tags requires an explicit theme to support it or custom liquid code.
1- I haven't added this app in any of my store by why this added automatically? 2- If Shopify installed it then you must have to inform us that its installed. 3- Screen is blank i thought due to browser but in all browser its same. 4- After this I saw I can not edit filter which are already there. 5- Kindly remove this feature or make it use able asap.

The screen is blank. It does not work in any modern updated browser for me. Now it is impossible to edit Filters on any website. Have tried contacting Shopify but they keep saying I need to login to create a ticket. 1. I am logged in. 2. I contacted you via the app header from one of the stores I am using (the only bit that appears). 3. It has my email address in the ticket, so I must be logged in. Am I supposed to login somewhere else to contact you? EDIT: Also need to say, I never installed this app. It just appeared and broke the website for over 24 hours, with no confirmation from Shopify.

Synonyms and product boosting don't work with predictive search which kinda defeats the object of these features.
Hi, thank you for your feedback. Changes on the app are now reflected in predictive search.
EIne APP einfach so zu installieren ohne Info? ohne zu fragen? Was genau soll das bewirken? Idee gut... Umsetzung unterirdisch. Bitte anpassen. Danke.
