Broke Our Images & GMC Listings, No Auto-Relink, Poor Warnings. We enabled SEOAnt’s “Optimize image file name” after an expert recommendation. The app renamed image files, Shopify treated them as new assets, and the old URLs broke so product images disappeared across our storefront and Google Merchant Center. We lost alot during this time. So do not click anything until you have read everything!

Its expensive! And it shows my unbroken links, working pages as 404 errors telling me to redirect. If i had set up automatic redirect woulf it have ruined my site?

Hi Nadia, I hope this finds you well. We appreciate your insight and would like to clarify things by sending you this message. Please note that the link you mentioned is now accessible normally. However, this does not mean that it was a normal link when it was detected by the app. It may have been a 404 link at first, but then modified by yourself or somewhere else. Please take note that Shopify will not redirect normal links. The automatic redirection function only helps our users to redirect 404 links, and this will not affect the normal links of your website. When the app first finds a 404 link, it will check whether it is a 404 and will not continue to update it. However, this does not matter because Shopify will not redirect good links. Our users can ignore and delete them manually on the app itself. Une chouette application mais un manque de sérieux. Du jour au lendemain le mode gratuit devient payant, on perd nos repères, ne peut plus faire de changements via l'application sans payer...
